  1. Just one thing Colif, Demonic Blow doesn't' have the "Rage" mod that boost yer damage on next attack, Scything Sweep on the other hand has it though ;)

I need you to edit all my responses from now on Spunky, I always mess up somewhere :)

I guess its SS/DB/FR then, it has been a while since I played a SW seriously.

  2. I would go with 2nd set of options, 2 buffs really makes a difference for survivability later, shield lore may almost become unnecessary if you get GR & RE high enough & mod RE to reflect

if you take combat discipline, the best combo is 1 ca by itself as that 10% speed boost helps (especially if you use Frenzied rampage) reduce the time needed before you add another rune. I assume since you took sword/shield you don't use 2 handed swords very often? Apart from a 1 ca combo, best destroyer is DB/SS/FR as there are not many things that can withstand that (apart from bosses). Mod DB to add damage to next ca and you start looking for groups to decimate.

  3. How about installing your save folder on a flash drive permanently installed in a usb drive? I am not sure if windows lets you do this?

That would save more than just sacred 2 characters, unless you are like me and only have Sacred 2 installed anyway.

I hadn't thought of a flash drive so I have since copied them there too...

  4. I have been here myself, losing everything and starting again is painful. BUt you haven't lost your mind (I hope) and the experience gained from levelling all of those will help you rebuild.

I lost my hdd last year and in process of rebuilding pc I deleted all my characters. Now I make sure I have them on my mp3 player and only recently emailed copies of them to a friend as he had same problem as you have. I may start emailing them to him every month as its offline backup, the best kind, and its free.

  5. No, I am sorry, the most annoying escort quest in game is Desire for Unity, suicidal escorts in the swamp who aren't immune to the poisons? I suspect you can only finish this in silver (if you are lucky). There is also a writer in the desert who has no attack but grabs agro. Meliandor is possible to do if you portal right after taking quest, these other two are just a nightmare.

  6. He will need to do the same thing for the guardians as there is a very slim chance of surviving that encounter with his current build.

Sacred 2 is a game that takes a long time to master... so I realize you don't want to start again but many of us have done it before many times, as unless you follow a build the 1st time through, you are going to run into problems like this one. It is obvious you only want to play story once, which is great if Sacred 2 was about the story. But game is about character development, that is why there are 5 difficulties that all have same story, its your character that develops as you go through game.

    His build is:

    16 Astral Lore

    3 Malevolent Champion Focus

    14 Hafted Weapons

    17 Riding

    19 Pole Arms

    33 Ranged Weapons

    2 Constitution

That is why we suggested a rebuild.

I guess in theory he could take Astral Lord focus, raise level of Shadow Veil to 21 and stay hidden for rest of game, using ranged to kill things, and maybe invest in Neither Allegiance for skeletal help. Rallied souls too.

Would help to take concentration so he can use Reflective Emanation and Nether Allegiance at same time

  7. The quest resolved itself once I got into wilderness, the guide didn't survive the 1st cave and I received the second part of the quest chain. Seems if I had let her die instead of trying to save her, I wouldn't have made this post.

Next time I get to this stage, I will save my game as I forgot to take into account different names.

Also, the circle might be a new side quest? I hadn't thought of that, as after 2 years playing same game, I was under impression I had found them all, I forgot you added more.

  8. I usually do Meliandor after the holdup quest, and then portal to thylysium and hand both in at same time.

I currently have a failed escort with me but she is an archer and actually helpful in some fights, even if it is just to take the damage while I back stab the mob that is hitting her. She survived one boss so far so I might let her live, see how far she gets.

  9. Has anyone tried the Medallion of wrath quest on latest patch? I did it today on Light campaign and it was all wrong, instead of the archer following me to the cave behind the forest guardian, she just vanished until the point where I opened the grave in the cave, then she reappeared but I haven't had to kill any pirates in the cave, Pretty sure you had to, it was full of spiders instead, Quest shows as complete but she is following me around now with no quest showing in her health bar.

Also. if you do all the quests on Dryad island, you get a weird circle showing in middle of ocean off coast. Glad I know its not a quest as unless the cave under the island extends this far, it would be hard to reach.

  10. Shadow Warrior & Seraphim are the 2 easiest classes, and if you hide behind RE & GR you hardly ever get hit - the only things that really bother you are the mobs that do reflective damage. As you level up resistances and DOT starts to play more of a role but you took toughness which helps with one of them. Its really easy to get to plat with a Shadow Warrior even if you make wrong decisions with the build (I have done it).

I play Single player, I generally leave doing all the quests quests until Gold and even then I only do the fun ones, some are best not bothering with at all. If you keep doing all the quests in Silver you will out level the monsters in the regions and stop getting drops that are upgrades.

  11. The next part is called Children & Demons 3 and starts at Skook's Corner so you won't get it until after you get into Human region.

Next part is called The Hunt 3 and it starts at Entraug.

The quests after this point should link together like they should, as the next part is called The Beginning of The End, as mentioned above.

  12. Thanks for the reply bud. Quick question. Do you have to use the rings in your jewelry spots or if you socket them into something can you still the the HP boost? That is quite a jump in Niobium +2000 HP nice chunk.

Either / Or. Wear one and socket one! 8)

I'd love to do this with 'ya, since I am at exactly the level it would be "best" for me to go get another Stradal's. Alas, I don't have internet at home, so I cannot.

Are you sure you can survive the Jungle and T-energy lands to be able to even start the quest? If you just got into gold, it may be a little dicey, especially when you run into an champion or elite. (Friendly warning from trying that too many times).

Are you sure, I know console version is different in ways but on pc, I socketed the ring into Armour and wore the neck (its a neck, isn't it? been long time since I got it) and didn't get the bonus.

I should have read all of thread, Spunky beat me to it.

  13. I've had the weather turned off for a very long time since on my PC there is/was a short pause before the rain/thunder started.

I just turned it off as it made the swamp a miserable place to be. Shame they never put any snowy regions in, I remember the way they used snow in Sacred (Or was it rocks that blocked the path?)

Its like the music, until I found out how to stop Battle Music, I forgot it was ever there. Now I love it

  14. Well, I'm playing with the CM patch so quests rarely break irrevocably, but I've had my problems with this one before.

The issue seems to surface when I F8 out of the cavern. Apparently entering and exiting the the cave entrance is necessary to make the quest update properly.

A few caves are like that, one in the desert tied to the main quest on light springs to mind - you actually have to go back into cave and exit it again to reset that one. Its best, if the quest is in a cave, not to warp out. As game does get confused at this point.

In the past, when I did this quest, I wouldn't warp out as normally I only save at 1st village and up until Ice and Blood, you couldn't just warp to portals from map, so getting back to the cave was a long walk (Now I save game at the beach res shrine).
