Also, dont forget to buy the early skills from the skill master in Kurt Toss them into the little numbered squares at the bottom of the screen then go crazy with them
Yeah, actually thats always how I initiate a fight with both my warrior and shaman. I too had the same problems attacking so now I just tap a skill key and then im in auto combat hitting away
-
yes, cant but love it
When maxed it does 330dmg, with additional damage of 13/2 per target for 10 secs. First DOT (damage over time) is not modified by INT, eg 25 dmg for first level, but second and onwards are. This is all from reading and havent tested it yet but think all DOTS work like this, eg texts like X dmg / Y seconds.
It may need some testing as we cant trust the forum completly. So many guesses and what was true in CB might have changed in OB.
Cant wait to get home

p.s. I so wanted to take firewave last night...but the extra hp from amulet was too much of a need to pass up. Anyone know anything about the firewave for Shaman at level 19?
I havent picked that skill either yet but will. From what I read though in the forum its hard to hit multiple mobs as the Area of Effect range is quite limited. Totem seems to be a better choice and learnt today that first DOT on totem is fixed damage but the following scale with higher INT . Not sure though if you can crit with totem like the firewave but fire rain is confirmed not too.
Here is my plan for my shaman build pre level 30 (roughly and I seem to redo it alot):
Fireball (Max level)
Instant cast and almost no downtime, my main attack
Fire Totem (Max level)
330 dmg + 13/2sec for 10 sec that scale with INT. Party friendly also
Flame Shield level 22 (Max level)
Reflects 50%dmg at a 70% chance at max level. Woot!
Mana Amulet level 12 (Max level)
Regen faster, 15% at max lxl, cant say no to that
Healing Totem level 26(Max level)
Seems like a good choice and really party friendly. level 5 gives 15hp/2s with a duration of 30 sec.
And on the horizon ...
Burning Hell level 36 (Max level)
Dmg is just crazy, plan to use it to initiate fights and then spam fireballs.
I totally focus on INT gear along with MP regen. All other stats are secondary for me

Let me share a screenie my favourite mob
Remember kids, its a horror game, so cover your eyes
I give you... the evol Nis. Boo
I think it is a bit scary - that you think him cute

I totally agree enci, and you have to frequently check the friendslist to see if any of your friends are online. No message telling you when they join or leave like in sacred
And also worth mentioning is the blocking feature to block all spammers, just type /shut <username> ,also managed in the community screen. Finally to remotly invite a user to your party its /in <username> or just use the friends list but good to know for random pickup parties

This game has been a fun one to learn and real fun to hook up with all of our friends from the forum here. The game mechanics are similar to most MMORPG's I have played and to be honest its kind of nice playing a mmo with gore oh well what can you say it suits my darker side lol
Ohh yes, got to love the rating
Here are some screenies from yesterdays session ...
From left: Me, ganto, a brutal shaman then enci with her dual swords and finally a headless gogo

Excellent summary enci!
Made me realize that I have no clue what and why I picked my skills for my warrior
Btw, does anybody else feel that magic damage hurts a lot? Is there a way to increase your resistance? As I understand defense doesn’t help here. I think youre resistance increases naturally but painfully slowly. I see a fireball coming my way and I’m already smashing my healing key. This is what I found browsing the forums:
Resistance seems to increase with some skills, class specific and every few
levels, here are the one known so far.
- Lv.1 to X = 3%
- Lv.X to X = 4%
- Lv.12(or less) to 20 = 5%
- Lv.21 to 27+ = 6%
- Lv.XX to XX = 7%
- Lv.XX to XX = 8%
- Lv.XX to XX = 9%
- Lv.XX to XX = 10%
It from the CB guide so no clue if its valid anymore in OB. Read more here http://www.playrequiem.com/forum/forums/th...ew.asp?tid=3210

Awesome gogo!!
So much more fun to play with friends than random pickup groups - but whom to blame for silly wipes now
Ohh, forgot to mention in my prev post that my toon name is phir ingame.

Ok, I finally got my download and also played some.
Im on the second server with enci and around level 15 with my warrior. Not sure I picked the right class and build but so far its fun and I just started to gamble for better items and upgrads, which is so much fun btw
So far I enjoyed it but quests are a bit repeative, eg deliver x to y and kill x of y with little change to them. So far also its been very casual gaming - eg you can login and play 30 mins and logout and still feel you did something, much like sacred and total opposite to WoW. Apart from this its like enci mentioned alot of bugs, balance issues, broken quests and so on but havent really noticed issues so far with lag, griefing, camping etc though chat is a mess from bot spammers, racist comments and rude language in general. Players I encountered has either been very quite, rude or helpful, id say 50-50 so far compared to sacred where everyone is helpful and always nice . This is my first F2P MMO so no clue how other games are compared.
So, come join in on the fun ... atleast try it some

I would say 6-7hours normally. From experience I know that 4h is the minimum if I want to be able to function normally the next day.
We all know that lost sleep cant be restored but, quote "the sleep system has a self-restorative function; a “drive” that will compensate for the lack of deep sleep one night by increasing the percentage of deep sleep you receive the next night". However other factors also applies so its sad thet catching up on sleep doesnt really work.

Arghhh ...2nd time now download failed for me. Im gonna try again today.

Arrghh ... this I dont like . So enjoyed the fact that we could share any item between us and pass them down to lower toons and so on, just like sacred. This is WoW all over again with endless dungeon raids just to get that single set item you need
