  1. Hi all..... long time no see.

I am having a resurgence of love with Sacred.

I have managed to get Sacred 2 Gold running great on my new Lenovo Legion 5i Pro laptop and Win 11.

But I am struggling with Sacred Gold.

I could not get it to work on Win 11 so I installed on my Win 10 desktop and got it to run. I also installed the PrueHD mod and am able to play it widescreen at 1920 x 1080 on 27' monitor. GTX 1660 super/ i5-9400F/16Gig RAM.

However I am getting terrible stuttering and at a guess around 30 fps in towns.

Anyone know of a fix to get the fps up to around 60fps?

    Thanks.

  2. Since you seem to have multiple codes that no one wants, I am willing to try one. My daughter also likes games but she doesn't have an iPad.

If you want, I can login to the forum and contact someone about you being banned. That shouldn't have happened ... unless it was your very first post. Posting links in a first post is too much like spam activity to even bother looking at closely. Most forums just automatically ban. :(

Don't worry about it mate. ;)

I simply offered the codes in my first post...I didn't put any links up,,,mainly because I don't have any links lol.

But any ways....I will pm you all the codes I have. You may do what you like with them. :)

You will be doing me a big favour just accepting them

  3. I have an iPad, am seriously thinking of getting an iPad Pro, and also have 2033 Redux on the PS4. I don't really like FPS games because, unlike real life, I can't hit the broad side of a barn in a game.

Have you thought about making your offer on one of the many iPad forums? One that I am a member of is the Apple iPad Forum:

    http://www.ipadforums.net/

Hope you find someone to give the code to before it runs out.

Hey Spock, good to see you again matey :)

The game will work on any iPad...you sure you don't want it? As I said it is not a FPS,,,it is a Turn Based Tactical game as shown in my YouTube link above.

As it seems no one is interested here I will go over to the forum you mentioned. Thanks for the suggestion.

It would be a shame to not use the code.....and funny enough the dev just sent me another three codes

Unfortunately just after I posted this thread my hard drive died on me :sob:

I lost everything!.....if anyone has had that happen to them then they know what I am currently going through to try and get some sort of resemblance of what my pc looked like before

Just downloading all my games will take a couple of weeks lol.

So my pc is currently running in bare minimum mode.

Apart from that shamozzle it's just lucky I had the codes sent to my Gmail account so all good there.

    bye now :bye:

  4. Hey there Gogo  Good to see you matey!

No my friend, that is not the game. That is a first person shooter game for the pc and xbox 360 I believe.

This is the game that I have on offer......it is a slow paced turn based tactical game only available for tablets.

The video below is of the Android version but the iOS version is basically the same. :)

  5. Hi all, it's been a long time between posts. :bye:

I have been given a spare iOS code from the developers for the game Metro 2033: Wars as I helped them fix and test the issues the game had with the iPad Pro.

It is a turn-based strategy game for tablets. It is a premium game currently priced at 7.99USD in the App Store. There are no IAP's.

The code I have needs to be redeemed via iTunes so you need that to be installed on your pc. Then you sync your iPad to iTunes and download and install the game.

If you are interested in receiving the code please post here and in a couple of days I will give it to someone. Please only ask if you are genuinely interested in the game and its game play style.

There are some early reviews on the net. Note that a patch has been released that addresses some of the difficulty concerns that people initially had.

    cheers, :drinks:

  6. Sydney had the hottest April day on record on Wednesday, which spread over to the Blue Mountains where I live.

It was 34.2 degrees C whereas the average is around 19 C for Autumn.

I even had the wood fire all loaded up in anticipation for the cooler weather and instead I had to put on shorts and a Tee shirt and put the air con on to try and keep cool.

Thankfully it was just a one day wonder and I'm back in my tracksuit pants and jumper with a match in my hand ready to lite the fire as soon as necessary.

  7. Just found another gem, Lords of Xulima http://www.lordsofxulima.com/

Great old school rpg and developed by a small indie company. For what they have produced with this game, they deserve a whole lot of respect from the rpg community.

And if you want story and fantastic turn based combat how about Valkyria Chronicles http://store.steampowered.com/app/294860/

Yeah it's from Sega but it's one hell of a great rpg.

Unlike Munk I think the pc rpg market today is actually full of incredibly deep and involving games. I have fond memories of classics from the late 80's/early 90's but there is still a ton of games being released today that offer the role playing gamer satisfying gameplay.

It's just a shame that most get overlooked because professional reviewers these days seem to focus on the latest big name game release and have little time for the smaller, and in many cases superior, product from independent developers.

  8. 1. My profile says Jan 2008..so that must be it.

    2. Been a member all that time..even had a period where I left my old clan for this place. But decided to go back home because I missed my old mates.

    3. I found Dark Matters due to Sacred...the original one that is. My clan, Clan DA, and Dark Matters were two of the most respected clans back then when Sacred was in it's early times. Both clans also both enjoyed a love of playing hardcore and the camaraderie that it encouraged. It was a natural that our two clans joined an unofficial alliance whereas if any of our members would come online it was accepted that they were part of our..for want of a better word.. "family". It has been a friendship I have always been proud of being a part of.

  9. I am an old Divine Divinity fan. Larian Studios is one of the many independent game developers that I have the utmost respect for. These people really listen to their players.

Divinity Original Sin is the sequel that fans of Divine Divinity have been waiting for, and the wait has been well worth it. They have captured the feel of the original game and have gone one heck of a step further.....the combat is now turn based and it is just about the most satisfying and enjoyable combat system I have played.

The UI is a workable, though clunky beast. Old rpg veterans will feel right at home though newer players will struggle for a while.

Multiplayer is a bit of a mess atm, though the devs are working on getting things better.

Get yourself a "demo" version of the game if you are still unsure. ;)

  10. Gilberticus, I suffer from your affliction also...playing and concentrating on more than one game gets me bored with all of them. Best to play one main and stick with it. ;)

Now that the Auction House has finally been removed I returned to D3 recently. The game has improved greatly with the Loot 2.0 patch. I am really enjoying the game, enough that I went out and purchased the expansion. I can see I will be playing this game for a long time again.

And as a topping on the Diablo III ice cream...Aussies now have their own servers! No more 300+mbps any more. Today I was enjoying 40mbps....usually an unheard of speed for online games for us.

Hardcore is now a viable option......now the only thing that is slow is me :blush2:

  11. it IS faster than previous versions of Windows - even Win 7.

Sorry cant let that one go without a comment :P

I have seen benchmark results with pc games posted on the net comparing Win7 and 8.

While some indeed do have a slight increase in fps, some also have a better result with Win7.

As a gamer that is all I care about and the games that had an increase in Win8 I don't play.

Whether it opens my MS Word document a second or two faster doesn't faze me at all. ;)

    edit:

But I do stand corrected on the comparison error I made between Win8 and iPads and iPods and similar gadgets.

Those things all look alike to me.

My mobile is the cheapest, simplest one they had, in fact I only have one so my wife can ring me to tell me what to bring home from the shops.

I am very much a complete dinosaur with mobile phones and humbly bow to your better knowledge. :)

  12. Windows8 focus seems to be making your pc act like a mobile phone or iPad/iPod or some such device.

As none of those items holds any interest to me, neither does Windows8.

I would only consider installing another OS if it was to benefit my pc gaming experience.

As Windows8 does not currently offer any improvement over Windows7 in that respect I wont be going down that road in any hurry.

  13. The original X-COM was released in 1994 and has become a cult classic amongst Turn Based Strategy gamers.

There have been quite a few games released since then trying to replicate X-COMS brilliance but none have matched the original.

However this remake is great and deserves to be graded as the spiritual successor to the original.

I also love how they have adapted the game to suit a new generation of gamers, including console players.

I have the pc version and I'm really enjoying the game.

I lost a whole day just doing three missions.

Not for a long, long time have I played a game where I was so involved in every decision I was forced to make.

It was pure agony for me, when one of my little dudes followed my orders, only to meet his maker at the end of a laser blast.

But it was jubilation when my sniper managed to save my veteran assault soldier with a head shot to an alien with only a 38% chance to hit.

The tactical side of this game really shines.

I've had to wimp out and play the game on easy as it is really a brutal game on the higher difficulties, especially in Ironman mode (one save...no reload).

    Any one else playing?
