  1. Does it count as a double post if it's almost 24 hours between them? If it is sorry for the double post. Yesterday Flooxim joined the Facebook group and then came to see the guild hall his reaction was like seeing a kid in a toy/candy store. And at about 6:30 he posted to the FB group "Thanks for letting me visit the Guild Hall, it was amazing!" So come and visit us on Facebook and then come visit the guild Hall!

P.S. Gogo, it's been 5 months since we've seen you in GW and Schot, it's been 2 years for you :viking::blink:

  2. We are still active in GW. And to help things out I have also created a group on Facebook. Guild Wars D.A.R.K Guild

I have added Gogo, Schot, and Genenut to the group. Genenut and I are the current admins of the facebook group, if Gogo and Schot are willing I can make them admins too (we know how hard it is for just two people to keep up on things just look at what they have done for us here at Darkmatters.).

If any of our D.A.R.K friends who are on Facebook would like they can also join this group, just send a request and it will be granted. We can all post on it and schedule group events as well as post when the different festivals are. All are welcome!

  4. Hello Professor Snape, I found the clues and found the magical quill! Pottermore says I'm magical! (yes, I was able to register for Pottermore before October! My user name is StoneIce143) I have validated my account and am just waiting for my welcome to Pottermore e-mail.

Pottermore is an exciting new experience from J.K. Rowling based around the Harry Potter books. It is FREE to join and use, and is designed to be safe for people of all ages, it will be open to all in Oct.

Early registration was for 7 clues over 7 days for 7 hours only. Yesterday was day seven and it ended just after I got in.

  5. Yeeks...this sounds painful! I'm curious about this condition though...if you were absolutely to control your food... are you guaranteed that you will have no stones?

    :)

It is painful. Unfortunately once you have had them there is no way to be 100% rid of them. You can only reduce the frequency at which they happen. And to give you an idea as to the level of pain. I have a relative who has given birth 6 times and has had one kidney stone, if given the option she would give birth again over another kidney stone. And jokingly a kidney stone is sometimes referred to as a baby by urologists. So at the moment I have triplets.

  6.

    Nightmare.

Is there any way of stopping them ? I have little knowledge on the subject, but can drinking more water help, as it's the kidneys ( forgive me if I'm thinking of the wrong thing)?

I wish you good health mate.

    Steve.

Increasing the amount of water is just part of it. It does depend on the chemical make-up of them, some are water soluble, some you need medication, but all can be controlled by diet.

  7.

Sorry to hear that and I hope you can get rid of those stones.

So you've suffered with this several times before then. Pardon my ignorance, but how is it that these stones keep developing mate ?

    Steve.

Multiple conditions are being met. 1 When I was younger (teens) I had heat stroke as a result I dehydrate very easily. 2 Diet is a contributing factor (but there are some foods I won't give up, just eat less often). 3 Once you've had one you are prone to have more(10% cumulative per year). And other factors as well.

  8. Just got back from the Doctor's office and will be off from work for a few days. As it turns out I have a kidney stone that is 7 millimeters in size and two more that are almost as big. I will be going back in to see him on Tuesday to see if it has moved at all, if it hasn't I will be having a procedure done to remove it. This stone will be my 8th. Every stone till this one I've had no problems passing but the doc say's he thinks I only have a 20 % chance of passing this one.

  9. This one turned out so good, just had to share. The beef was hot and piping when I laid it down upon the spinach leaves. Olives, onions and a cucumber dressing finished the plate.

We will have to look our savings. Maybe one of these days you may see us up there for dinner! :chef::drool:

  10. The advancing wall...I just can't get over that. When you realize that's a wall of water rushing forward at I don't know many miles per hour (fast!) and it's just picking up houses, cars anything as it rushes along.

Stuff like this is humbling, gives me some perspective and a feeling of deep gratefulness for our day, our safety.
