  1. Now I'm excited about sacred but I am waiting for the demo to come out in English because the German version frustrated me because I didn't know what anyone was saying...
  2. gogo, I think I might have mispoke the release date. That may just be for the UK I guess because they want to release pc/console at same time. on the artwork I've done my character for titanquest (glowing green wolves and armor with a poison spear and a trap firing) with watercolor pencils but I will see if I can get inspired to do something for sacred 2. But like I say I'm not exactly a major talent Oh well even bad drawings are fun if you have fun WITH them. I'm thinking a picture of the shadow warrior leaping with dual wielding attacks onto an orc would be pretty cool! I'm definitely thinking of the shadow warrior as my first character although I'm also attracted to the dryad. And I like the robatic guardian too. I'm in the minority on its voice in that I like!
  3. I bought it from amazon, pre-ordered. I decided not to look at the collectors edition (if there is one) I paint and if I want my character captured I will try and paint it...not that my paintings are technically inspiring but I paint for fun as if I were a caveman painting cave paintings! Anyways I was really excited to play by the end of the month but then I heard on gamebanshee news that it is opening on PC consoles everything on November 7th. So unless that changes I have the opportunity to beat regular sacred first not to mention all the games that I've played millions of hours but never beaten owing to chronic rotating game syndrome and chronic restarting syndrome.
  4. Great. Its working out so far. I have cataract to level 7 and Ghost Meadow to level 7 and I think Ice ring only at level 1 atm. I think I might use flameskin when I get another slot, at least until I get stronger against archers because it is hard to hit them with ring of ice. My sword has 85% chance to hit mobs atm and cataract raises it to 90. Plus I found a unique ring that adds 40% to damage against goblins (which is what I am fighting atm). Pretty good so far. I took 1 Meditation and Magic Lore 3 Sword Lore 6 Weapon Lore 12 Agility and next I will take Constitution then Water Magic then Parry. Oh and I found the Dagowit Belt which I socketed with 2 vampire Leach runes.
  5. Thanks for the response! "No, it's not suicide (or depens on your playstyle). But other than that, if melee mage can go solo in platinium (got one there) or niob closed hc games, why not in bronze SP. " Great! "Yes, hybrid mage is possible to build. Just need to focus more to the melee side, or otherwise it will became too weak on long run. I would choose only four spells. Cataract of agility (because it's a must have for melee mage at later levels), Ghost meadow (must have when regen times are blown away at later levels), Ring of ice (for mob control and slow down) and what ever attack spell you like.. fire spiral could be usefull? haven't ever needed any fourth spell myself tho" Well thats reassuring! I'm sure I'll find a fifth spell to play around with. Fire spiral seems kinda cool! I'll definitely have meditation and magic lore as my starting skills. Then since I want to use both magic AND melee I figure I will start having to add melee skills or I will not be able to have a melee presence since BM is really designed a caster. Here's a list what you need to choose if you want to play full melee bm weapon lore sword lore lvl3 water magic How do I start off with different skills than meditation and magic lore. Alternatively, can I build a hybrid that does start with the default skills (meditation and magic lore)? lvl6 trading lvl12 constitution lvl30 agility lvl50 parrying if thinking on melee caster hybrid, maybe then would drop trading (and saving lots and lots of skillpoints) and take magic lore instead. Did you give a skill for level 20:) Or is that not a skill up level? Meditation is bit useless as regen spells mod on items works same way and investing more runes into ghost meadow will give good enought regen times. If I don't want to doctor up the starting skills can I use Meditation in place of water magic (for the beginning)...and assuming you missed the level 20 skill I can get all these in... So 1 Magic Lore 1 Meditation 3 Sword Lore 6 Weapon Lore 12 Constitution 20 Agility 30 Trading or Water Magic (assuming 20 was really a skill gaining level) 50 Parrying
  6. I was a little intimidated to post because well there are guides, but I am kind of lost and I can't decide between them. SP Bronze Designing a Battlemage So I have looked at guides and sort of couldn't decide and didn't find exactly what I wanted. I want to play bronze because then I figure I'll have the highest RELATIVE power in that my character will be strong compared to what he faces off against. Well thats the idea. I also sort of wanted to play a melee mage and my first question is whether this is suicide. I mean I not only want to beat bronze, but I want to feel strong but I don't have to feel invincible. I want to use buffs for power and I still want to use other magic. For example I played a little and I thought ring of ice might be a good spell for a melee build because it damages and slows everyone down which is good for safety...kind of bunker down. Two areas I am mainly having trouble with. 1 is skill choice. Can I do it? Can I play sword AND sworcery with a battlemage? Second is hey I've got so many cool spells but I only have access to FIVE at most during the heat of battle. Its hard to choose that as well! Skills: I'll definitely have meditation and magic lore as my starting skills. Then since I want to use both magic AND melee I figure I will start having to add melee skills or I will not be able to have a melee presence since BM is really designed a caster. 3 Sword Lore - I'm thinking I'll need that in order to hit. Weapon Lore would be good but you can't do more % damage if you are missing! (or would cataract of agility solve the hitting problem?) 6 Agility - Again I need to hit and this will help me stop from dying by not get hit as much? 12 Elemental Magic or Trading? Dunno? Maybe get some better equipment or is it time to shorten casting time? 20 Constitution - stay alive I guess 30 Weapon Lore Elemental Magic Trading? - I'm really lost what I should take because I don't understand if I can be alternating fireballs (or ice shards...whatever) with sword thrusts or what the deal is.. 50 Parrying Spells 1 Something to reduce archers hit = shield wall, flameskin, or whirlwind 2 Something to kill archers from range (I haven't tried many spells yet...ice shards and fireball were the only 'bolt' spells I tried) 3 Something to help kill melee which also allows sword (Perhaps Ice Ring) 4 and 5 I am not sure what else I am needing the most. I would like to buff with every single buffer but its just too tedious to swap in and out on the 5 slots. Wish list = Reiki, Cataract of Agility, Ghost Meadow (for range killer), Stoneskin (or whatever resist I need) Please help me design a character. I am mainly interested in Bronze and then take it to Silver to see how it goes and grab all 8 skills.... I've played to level 10 so far and I notice I am more frail than the Gladiator, Dwarf, and Dark Elf. I have effective abilities, but it is a little more confusing to figure out which runes to read and not read. Thank you for your time!
  7. Thanks guys, I am level 30 now! Yay! Adding 'Ballistics'. Sweet! Cheers!
