I read somewhere that Blizzard was p[lanning on releasing, not one, but 2 expansion packs for Diablo 3. If I run across the offical Blue Notes on it I will try to add a link to this.

Catching a little D3 time this morning, and suddenly the server shut down notice pops up. Hopefully it will be back up this afternoon when I can play again.

A very late reply but I was able to accomplish this under Windows 7 by installing UK Sacred 2 gold under my main profile, then creating a 2nd user and logging out and logging on to that profile to install and play the US version.
That is very clever idea Larvi. I have not played around with having a second profile on my current computer, but this is a solution that may in fact work for me. If I ever take a break from Diablo 3 I will be sure to give this idea a try. Thanks much!

I really want to do this, but I know that I am commited to a couple of weekend things in the upcoming weeks. I am off this weekend, but in a couple of weeks I would not be able to make it. If you need someone as a "temp" for some of the weekends it would be a lot of fun. But I would feel bad about upcoming weekends when real life stuff gets in the way. Let me know.

I will probably not be staying up way late on the weekends because of my job. But I would love to get in on this. Any ideas what kind of a time slot you are thinking of? North American servers? This does sound like a lot of fun!

Huge Congrats Chrona! I have not made it that far with a softcore character yet, so 59 hardcore is just flat out amazing to me.

From what I have read, you would need to be off your rocker to want to play HC.
On a completely unrelated note, I have a ... friend ... who is off said rocker. How would this ... friend ... get into HC?
As soon as your "friend" gets a softcore character to level 10, they will be free to make a new hardcore character. Good luck on that!

So how exactly does MP work in D3? Is it by invitation only?
I see what people say about the lag. Normally it is really good, about half what I had on Closed Net. Then without warning it just jumps through the roof.

Most likely softcore only, at least for a long while. I tend to either be slow and easy, or else run head first into things that I am not ready for. I seldom find the right spot in between.

I love special effects movies. I grab a bowl of popcorn, shut off my brain and just enjoy.

You only need to make one banner for each class. It doesn't matter how they look.
Then when you get the game you can make new banners in-game, with all the various colors and symbols PLUS the 5 class sigils from the web-page.

Thanks for posting this here. I made one for the Barbarian, really great tool. I can't wait to use these all-orange banners I made.
You don't get the specific banner you made, you get a specific sigil (one per class) to add to the banners you make in-game.
It also doesn't seem to work with IE8 (what we're on at work) or whichever version of Firefox I've got at home, fortunately a fellow (awesome
) guildie did them for me.Do I understand you correctly Llama that I should actually save all of the versions that I am interested in, and then can chose from any of them later once the game finally goes live? Thanks so much for the help in advance.

I am old fashioned and like to have a hard copy of the game in my hands. I know that you have to be online to do anything with Diablo 3, but it is the way my mind works. Since I am in the midwest I think that I will have to wait until 2 AM local time before the servers come online anyway. I figure that I will get a chance to install the game fromm the disc, download the patch, get frustrated that I can not get into a game, and then watch Blizzard's servers crash and burn with how many others are trying to get online also. A darn shame that there will not be a single player version of this game.

So I kept getting the time out error when I tried to log in. Now that I am trying again it says that BattleNet is down. Gonna take a break for dinner and a flick. I played the Demon Hunter for about a hour yesterday. Sadly I was disappointed.
Started a barbarian today. Found myself having a great time.

During the last month I have been playing a bit of Sacred 2 Gold, Sacred 1, Sims 3, Torchlight 1 and Diablo 3. I have to say that Diablo 3 is leading the pack hours wise at the moment, but Sacred 2 is probably in second place. Still a great game after all of this time.
