As far as I can tell there is no way to give characters unique names. Is this right? If so, how do those who have multiple characters keep track of which is which?

Hi Guys I gave up on Sacred 2 because of lag when there are a lot NPCs and monsters in the area. Spoils the fun, so I've put it aside until I get my next PC. I have a core2 duo @ 2.4GHz and 3Gs of ram and a GeForce GTX 560 Ti. The ram is plenty as is the Nvidia card...I think...but I'm guessing the game is not coded for multi-core and wants a faster CPU core...2.8GHz 0r 3GHz. edit: I'm running XP SP3. Am I right?

I have not tried 2H myself. I use a shield for the extra protection and sockets. Your main damage will be from magic not sword. You can socket regeneration per hit items which speed up regen of magic. Thats the main use of the sword.

Hi. So I just arrived in the region and I am stuck with this guy Meliondor who wants to go to the city. But I dont want to go straight there and I dont want this guy following me around. Can I get rid of him? If there was a proper save game function implemented I would just reload, but there isn't and I cant. Any advice?

Thank you so much for those excellent replies folks. I will be reading and taking carefull note...especially RPH which I did not know about. So far I am really liking the game. At first the default camera really put me off; it was nearly impossible to manage it in caves and the like; but I found a fix that has improved it 100%. Still, I bet it put a lot of casual players off...which is a shame.

I am playing a DM in SP and have been using swords. My question is: are swords as good a pick for a DM as staffs? What about hafted weapons...they seem very powerfull. Also is bargaining worth getting? And...is there a good thread you know of dealing with the different weapon types and their advantages? Thanks.
