  1. Right-o. I mainly listen to miscellaneous Japanese. J-pop, anime music, etc. Or progressive rock. Might sound an exotic combo. Pretty much depends of the mood. Friend of mine got me hooked with proge. And I noticed that some stuff just needs certain mood to listen to.

From Japanese my faves are mainly I've girls and all time fave is Kotoko. They all provide quite a wide array of different stuff. Also I've been getting int o Vocaloids, mainly Hatsune Miku. Such hilarious stuff.

KOTR: Haven't really looked into Touhou, but I might as well give it a go, seeing quite many people like it.

  2. I'm all there with you. FMA was one of my faves too. Well, still is, even more with the new Brotherhood takeover. Still, I'd say the ep 07 of the '03-'04 anime, Night of the Chimera`s Cry , was one of the most touching pieces in anime. And not to forget, Hughe's funeral.

Heh, guess there could've been awfull lot worse pieces of anime to start off. I remember original FMA was my first long series. Watched it twice in two-three months time, when I was at summer vacation. Quite a marathon, nearly 10 hours anime straight. Also, my mom gave me kinda earlful, as I was still living with parents. :P Good times.

Also, talking about emotionally charged animes, I could recommend the whole Clannad+Afterstory series. Had me crying in several occations, it was just so emotional. Nagisa's struggle and all. *tear..* ^^

  3. promatolya: I gave up trying to ger on par with One piece. Seeing 400+ ep behind. I'm only seen the Captain Kuro Arc in anime. And giving my flanky wireless net, there's just no will to get all that stuff. Same reason why I don't watch anime online. Just hate the buffering...

Though I do read the manga. We're almost on par with Japanese release here in Finland. ^^

But that aside. I managed to keep in touch with Bleach. Which is the only gargantuan series on my list. Getting slightly annoyed with Orihime's constant "Kurosaki-kunnn!" weeping. Atleast we got to see some neat power-up, so that kinda makes it up.

I have some of those series you listed just waiting to be watched. I know, hoarded just too much stuff in buffer when I had the change.

For Dragonball, you haven't lost much. I gave up somewhere during the android saga and dropped the sucker. It's... just... too... damn... slow... paced... >_< But I do have the manga. Much, much better, and no annoying fillers and crap.

Also, I don't like Naruto either. Dunno why, it just never piqued my interests...

By Full Metal, I assume you meant Panic! Or am I totally wrong? If it's Panic! I really like it too. Hoping there's some continuation, as there's so much material to cover. Light novels, mangas and so on.

  4. No sweat mate. ^^ Each to his own. We all have our own preferences. Mind you, I'd never touch Win98. Had enough of it years back. :P

Heck, I'm sure that I'd be playing Sacred Underworld if I wasn't lucky enough to get some much needed hardware update, as I'm at the same situation with the cash flow, actually. Unemplyed and having loans and such surely limits what one can do...

Also, I'm totally with you considering the games being such resource hoggers. Ah, the old good Diablo 2 times. ^^

But anyways, all the best for getting that sucker up and running. *thumbs up*

  5. I'll be a fellow gravedigger. :P Just noticed this too. Been hooked to anime for about 6 years now. And in Japanese culture and other stuff in general. Too bad I haven't had chance to properly learn the language, as I do find it quite fascinating. But I'd say watching all those animes and playing games have helped to form some kind of basic understanding.

And, considering Clamp, I'm not a huge fan, though I found Chobits to be quite an enjoyable series. And they did the charas for Code Geass, which was one of my faves too. I might want to try that Tsubasa if I ever get the time. Still having about 200gigs of anime waiting. :P

    Click

There's my listing at AniDB, if by wonders someone's interested. ^^

promatolya: Haven't watched yet, but I'm intending to. As with so many other series. :P Anyways, too bad that's one of those series with open ending, just waiting for a second season. Which in most cases never happen...

Heck, might as well put it on dl queue. Now that someone's actually written a small description.

  6. I'd also say yes. If it's only for Blood and Ice. ^^ Also, CM-patch and other stuff keeps adding some new things here and there. And I'd strongly suggest getting Blood and Ice if you're using Win7. When patched at least 2.65.1, it'll be fully compatible with Seven. No need to run in comp mode with XP. You'll get the most out of it. For instance, XP can only use DirectX 9, whereas Seven gets to use DX10 and 11. Not that the latter counts, but getting 10 is nice. I for one used to have several performance cutout when ran with comp mode. Just a little heads up. ^^

  7. Guess all the necessary things are said. Just hang in there, Rotluchs! ^^ Though dunno if anyone mentioned wiping all old drivers and stuff away with sort of regcleaner utility. Don't know which one it is for nVidia, as I use ATI's card, but still.

Also, I'd vote against installing it on same HD as OS, seeing sometimes the performance really sucks up. Maybe the pagefiles and such clutter the HD or something. I'm having some performance issues too, running a AMD Athlon X2 5400+, HD 4770 and 2 gigs of ram On Win7 x64 Ultimate. Though I'm quite positive my problem is HD related. Have the game and OS on same HD, but different partitions.

And I thought I had problems with this sucker. Not counting some re-installs and updates mine was smooth sailing. Well, at least after I installed Blood & Ice with 2.65.1 patch. Till B&I I couldn't use it outside XP comp mode, which seriosly cut the performance...

  8. it's a social bug, rather then a gaming bug :)

    "It's not a bug, it's a feature!"

Anyways, regarding the post count; if memory serves, I've only gotten somewhat 1000'ish count on some forums, where I was a serious poster. And that's waay back in the history. Actually, the forum sank 'cause of stinking mods. Too bad, was a nice place though.

And about DM, first I was more of a lurker type. Went after the builds during S1 times and such. Actually, this is my second account here, dunno, what happened the first one, prolly went M.I.A. or something, but I thought that what the hell, looks like a nice community and stuff, so I might as well drop few lines here and there.

  9. Like the gamers in general have taken a turn to a worse. I've seen that kinda thing IRL much too many times. Been wondering what'll come out of the youth nowadays. Coming and going as they please, bitching the hell outta others. And it reflects to the net, as it's that much easier to be rude and other FECAL MATTER! under the web anonomity. (Was that spelled right? ;)) Would need some serious troll hunting. Anyways, now that I think of it, I've avoided many boards due to what's stated above. Was glad to find out that DM as a whole is like it is. ^^

Not that made much sense, but try to bear with me. the caffeine hasn't fully kicked in yet.

  10. Bondbug: Maybe they just grew tired of it? Surely, group of WoWers must've changed quite a bit in the years. True to be told, never been there, so I can't be sure.

Also, I'm somewhat active member of few other forums and the general atmosphere is nice. Guess I've been the luck one. ^^ But considering what I've heard and also seen other places, DarkMatters is a great place, as others have stated earlier. ^^

But I do remember one thing from the past. Used to be an active at some ROM/RPG- stuff place. Was nice until the admins started to bitch alot. People getting banned I really don't know why and such. Few old peeps back then moved to their own forums, which were much better. But, that's ancient history. :P

  11. Thanks for the welcomes. ^^

Munera: I sure do. The great chara-builds will surely help to graps the concepts of the games better and all. Also, the wiki is really useful. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something there too.

Gogo: That's my usual style. Glad ya like it. Also, I remember reading some of your guides back in the Underworld times. Good stuff.

Too bad my connection at the moment is a bit shaky; wireless ~2MB thingie. So I'm not sure if I'll make it to MP, but mebbe I'll give it a try...

Oh, and does anyone know whether the nasty malfuction/Bug/whatnot is present in Blood & Ice 2.65?

Crashing in about couple of minutes after starting when using Windows 7 I'm not too fond of playing my game in compatibility mode with xp... Cuts the performance quite badly.

  12. Sorry about that obvious anime-tag'ish title.

Anyways, hello everybody. Just decided to get an account as I've once again getting hooked with Sacred 2, and soon hopefully with the expansion as well. Not sure if I'll be all that active, but I'll try my best to drop a few lines here and there. ^^

  13. First post, yay!

Yes, thanks for a nifty little mod, Sankekur. So far I haven't seen any bugs. Xcept strained eyes. Kinda teeny weeny thing is that the equipment used shrunk too, but I guess there's nothing to do to it. Not complaining at all though. Very minor thing over getting to shop every so often.
