  1. It could be due to the way that the skin colours could be changed when you created a toon and a slightly different default value being selected maybe?

Don't know: if that holds true, then all characters carried into Ice and Blood from FA should be affected not just the HE IMO. Tend to agree with Dobri. Seems that the HE has more choice sliders than the other toons and the alignment might not be right in the transfer. Dobri probably only used the EU patches and still had the same thing happen to him. That kinda shoots down my idea that using two different origin patches was the culprit.

  2. Its a similar problem podgie, but in the case of dragon strike it's a terrain problem not a targeting problem. Dragon strike has a kind of primative targeting system that does not compensate for terrain. So it tends to be spot on for flat ground and hit or miss with any kind of unlevel ground or obstacles. *that dragon need GPS and a bombardier. *

Wouldn't it be nice if the dragon mage's familiar could be trained to be spotter like ground troops calling in an air strike? Then the dragon strike would be right on regardless of terrain! Sacred 3 maybe? Maybe we can have "smart" fireballs launched? Oh be still my beating heart!

  3. I have had several characters so far end up with red Xs on the left side of the logbook while the right side shows the quest was completed successfully. The quests Bandits and Plentiful Harvest seem to always show up with a red X and a couple of other quests sometimes show up as red Xs.

Also does it bug any one else besides me that the class specific side quests, the ones with blue question marks, do not show up in the logbook? The main class quests are in there only.

  4. is it possible to add glow effect on the armor or weapon like the other RPG games?

Not sure what you mean by glow affect. In Sacred 2 the weapons with sockets will "glow" based on the type of damage you socket in them: Ice=white mist, Fire=red flames, Poison=green mist and Magic=blue mist. There is no equivalent for the armor. In the original Sacred armor would glow if you attained certain aura points but weapons did not. On the login screen for Sacred 2 your character will have glowing or moving colors on their armor, especially set armor, if you have a high resolution monitor and graphics card but the effect is hard to see in game when zoomed out even a short way.

  5. Actually it is impossible to buy a horse at level 1 since you have to get to a horse trader first. That means several fights along the way and near the trader which will increase your level past 1 as the experience needed to get to level 2 is so low. I should have mentioned that earlier. My HE was level 31 and still took damage from arrows and close hits while riding the mount quest road from Dragonmaw Pass. So get some levels under your belt and ride like the wind!

  6. That's the easiest way to do it! Meliondor is one of the most annoying, useless "escorts" you can find. Especially since he insists on attacking enemies with his bare fists and drawing aggro. Doesn't help that the programmers gave him a measly 12 hp!

(Note: Uneducated guess only, not to be taken as fact :) )

The only one more annoying is that Private Rinnarn guy you get near Sloeford - he is freakin USELESS! Bow or sword? Mate - you might as well use a soup spoon.

Rinnam isn't a big help no, especially when you face large numbers of rats and brigands. One on one he is capable of defending itself, but still it is poor. So you have to do the dirty work. Just let him stick behind you and take care yourself of the rabble.

With Rinnam I just click on Bow and stay a half screen ahead of him. That way I finish off any mobs before he catches up to me. The Holdup quest is hard to avoid even if you try to stay near the trees to get past her. You could take the scenic route and head northeast of the Elf post then cross the river and come down on the east side of the cemetery. Seems if you get anywhere in her agro area the quest starts so you probably should just do it as you may have to travel through that area on other quests or getting from point A to B.

  7. I think it has to be a corrupted saved game. Originally I started my first Seraphim in the US version of Fallen Angel then got the Gold version and transferred my saved games into it. Neither the Seraphim nor the Shadow Warrior were changed and both had their original skin tones. It is rather odd that only her skin color and not her armor changed color though. I noticed that you patched with both a US patch and a UK patch. Could that be the source of your problem?

  8. Installed and patched the game, connected to closenet, but I can't join any servers. Something about the client not the same. Oh well, I going to save my carrier imp and see if it works on the EU servers.

When you patched the game did you patch with the US patches or the EU patches? That may have confused the installation if the wrong patch versions were used. Also did you try to connect to any of the open game servers or just the closed net ones?

  9. I don't know if single player characters can be carried over to Gold Edition or not. I would guess that they can. Online characters, however, are bound to the server they're created on (either US or EU), so those cannot be carried over.

Single player characters from the US edition will carry over to the Gold edition. I originally bought the US edition of Fallen Angel but decided I wanted the Ice & Blood add-on so I got the Gold edition. My saved games from the US edition transfered over without a problem. I haven't taken the characters into multiplayer yet as I am still getting familiar with all the areas in Ancaria.

  10. I recently created a Seraphim with all three Focuses and no Aspect Lore. At the moment she is level 30 (SP campaign) and seems to have no problem handling even 8-10 mobs at a time. She still has more skills to choose and I am debating whether I really need to add a Lore or not. She is "resting" as my 8 year old grandaughter wanted me to start a High Elf and a Dragon mage so she could see them do their thing. She had been making the choices of skills and what attributes to put points into in these, her creations and both are also currently level 30. Now that she has gone home I will be picking up the seraphim again and she how she does.

    Concentration

    Exalted Warrior Focus

    Celestial Magic Focus

    Revered Technology Focus

    Sword Weapons

    Armor Lore

    Shield Lore

    3 empty skills

The first character I created was also a Seraphim but with just Celestial Magic Lore and no focus. She too has been "resting" while I focused on several other builds. My first seraphim is level 46 and in Griffinborough (SP). She does considerable damage but her CA level is limited due to lack of Focus. I am considering adding a Focus as one of her two remaining skills.

    Sword Weapons

    Ranged Weapons

    Armor Lore

    Celestial Magic Lore

    Divine Devotion

    Shield Lore

    Tactics Lore

    Concentration

    2 empty skills

  11. A quick note.

In Ice and Blood (I am aware this is the 360 forum, so there is no way for people to read that), the developers have added a tip on the loading screen. They state that a combat art is considered appropriate if it is equal to 1/4 of the character level. If it is lower, it will have a better cooldown.

Dobri - - you have time to read the loading screen? My PC system is overclocked to 4.2 and I barely see the loading screen leave lone read it! I know the actual screens are in one folder and the tips are in a different folder and are merged onscreen but I haven't figured out what folder the tips are in to read them. So based on the devs' tip the appropriate CA level for say a level 64 toon is 16. Guess my new level 30 seraphim is a bit greedy; she socketed and ate 14 Radiant Pillar runes. Like the way mobs just get sucked into it and die.

  12. Just as a heads up, Expert touch decreases regen times of all CAs by 33.33%

Ah, I'm glad someone did the math or looked up the file info! Thanks go to you. I assume that the 33.33% is for the the CA currently cast as the others may still be cycling due to different regen times. Or do all CAs that are cycling when a CA is cast also have a 33.33% reduction at the same time with expert touch?

  13. I have Seras with and without expert touch and at the same level of eaten runes the regen times are definitely different even with similar points in concentration and certain other skills. With expert touch the first CA I use will cycle faster but all CAs, even from different aspects, will cycle when one is used and I have to wait to use a CA from a different aspect than the first I used. Without expert touch the first CA used will take longer to cycle but only the CAs from the same aspect will cycle and I can immediately use a CA from another aspect. So it depends if you choose to use CAs from two or more aspects or just one as to what is best for your style of play. As to quantifyhing the difference, you would have to have two identical builds with the same levels of points in each skill, the same number of runes eaten or socketed and at the same level (preferably level 25 or better) to get really good quantifiable numbers in order to determine what % increase/decrease expert touch adds to each CA. That is a lot of work and math!

  14. I tend to agree that it is probably your PSU. How old is your system? If it is more than 4 yrs old tha PSU may not be able to supply the current demands of todays graphic cards especially dual GPU cards. Even single GPU cards since 2008 draw considerably more power than their predecessors. Even if you don't think it is a heat issue I would definitely suggest a thorough case cleaning, fans, filters, etc. PC Maximum has a good tutorial on that on its website. It may help keep your spikes down below the 74 you saw. AS for the RAM testing, remember that you have to maintain the minimum amount in your system needed by the games and program you are running so the test is accurate. So it will take a bit of time swapping out one stick at a time to check all the RAM slots and sticks. Hope you had no plans for the evening otherwise and good luck.

  15. Here is my build as of now:

    Armor lore 12

    sword weapons 23

    Revered tech lore 6

    Revered tech focus 7

    Exalted warrior focus 24

    duel wield 23

    combat discipline 4

Any help with trying to rebalance out this char would be great as it was started before really looking up information on building a character. Iam just trying to play it as far as I can to learn the game better for when I start some new characters.

You should pick up Concentration as points into that will also lower regen times as well allow you to use two buffs at the same time. If you don't eat too many buff runes the buff will not increase your regen times as much. With my seraphim I like to use Battle Stance and Cleansing Brilliance in areas with lots of undead and T-energy mobs. CB active with Radiant Pillar gets rid of dead and T-energy very fast. And definitely stop putting points into sword weapons as mainerunr suggested. Dual Wield negates any points into sword weapons so you are just wasting points.

  16. The first character I built before really getting to know the mechanics of the game was a Seraphim who has no focus as yet with three skill slots left to fill. She gets tons of runes but can't use them because of the penalties. She got to level 46 before I gave her a rest and built another seraphim with a focus on focus. Although she does a lot of damage using appropriate buffs (cleansing brilliance for undead and T-energy mobs) she can get overwhelmed and I have to hit the space bar frequently when hit with large groups because her CAs damage and regen are limited. She will be getting Exalted Warrior Focus soon. So I say go with focus and add lore later if you want both in a build.

  17. I have found my spectral warriors to be invincible so far. It doesn't matter how many mobs attack or how long they fight they never seem to die. I guess the devs gave them very high HP numbers. Has anyone's spectral warriors been killed? It may also be that when you hit the space bar to heal your toon they also get healed but no potions are used for them? "Tis something to ponder.

  18. There is no specific chart that shows how many runes should be eaten for each level. Everyone's style of play is different and their approach to runes is also different. You can: eat enough runes to keep the regen time at the level you want (varies with character level and points put into certain skills), socket your favorite combat runes in armor and weapons to keep regen low, add skill points to the specific focus(es) you use to lower regen, add skill points to concentration to lower regen, equip items with decrease regen modifiers or combine any of these strategies. Most of the seasoned players use a combination of these to keep times low. Also, activating a buff will cause most CAs to increase in regen times except those that the buff specifically lowers, e.g. the High Elf's, fire demon buff lowers her times for pyromancer CAs. You may not have built your Seraphim wrong unless she doesn't work well for the style of play you prefer, melee, spell, or hybrid. You can post your build to date so we on the forum can advise on additional skills, etc?

  19. If either the CPU or case temps get too hot the system will shut down. There is a "gray" area where the system will lag before it shuts down if the temps have not reached critical. In the "gray" area framerates will drop and all services run slower. Check your cooling setup to make sure fans are running and filters are clean if air cooled and reservoir and radiator are up to level along with fans running if liquid cooled. My son had a similar issue and ended up replacing the heatsink on his CPU. No problems since then.

  20. I play on PC but find that the fire and ice spells combined with charged grid buff and t-energy shroud do a good job of mob control. Of course I also try to get the best armor, weapon and jewelry to augment his skills and damage. Check your orb for armor level and type of armor as well. Make sure the relic slots are filled with the type of armor needed for the mobs in the area your in, e.g. poison, fire, magic, ice and at their highest levels.

  21. Yeah, the Ipad is such a hot seller that it is literally hot! The thing tends to overheat and there are complaints of it burning fingers holding it. Guess you can use it a body warmer if you get stuck out in the wilderness.
