  1. Just passing and thught I would pop in and say hello to happy memories. Drinks all round but make mine orange.

Funny talk about dislocated shoulders up above. I jarred my back in October and it has been giving me gyp (jip?) ever since. Then suddenly yesterday morning it sort of jumped back into place and in a moment was alright, just like a dislocation snapping back into place. Can you have a dislocation at the base of the spine?

Anyway - hello all and a late happy new year.

    Cheers.

I would be remiss not to advise one experiencing such a condition to take a trip to a DO (doctor of Osteopathy and equivalent to a M.D.) or a DC (doctor of chiropractic) for an adjustment of your lower (lumbar vertabrae). Subluxations of the spine (minor dislocations) occur even among children and one properly schooled in the practice of spinal manipulation may indeed provide lasting relief. If one allows their condition to worsen by not taking proper action, a more problematic and serious condition may indeed occur. Please do take care of yourself, kind sir.

Oh, by the way, I overheard my Fire Elf taunt a mage of the cult earlier, saying, "You may try to tie me down, but your ash is mine".

  2. Great, it adds a whole new element of fun to the game. Just remember that the Community patch may be added to Sacred 2 Fallen Angel Ice & Blood pc game (versions 2.65.1 and up) yet, not the vanilla Sacred 2 Fallen Angel. You may DL it here when signed in to Dark Matters:

You may also buy the Sacred 2 Gold Edition, it's already fully loaded and ready to go.

  3. I recall that certain items won't work without the Community Patch being installed. The vanilla version is great, but some few new items won't appear in the shared chest. It will be empty when you add these chest files from the Sacred 2 Community Patch downloads. The item files containing relics and elements work with the vanilla version, so you may wish to try them first to determine that the file is being placed in the proper place. Nevertheless, do be sure to save your existing chest file in a safe (named folder) to restore it at a later time, so as not to lose any of your precious items. Then, copy the chest file from the zip folder and place it in the same folder where you got the chest file that you saved. Versions of Windows store the file in different locations. You may need to do a search for it on your drive and then right click and open the file location to determine the path for future reference.

  4. I'm DLing FRAPS and will try to fix the details identified by Flix in the A Bath For My Dog quest this weekend, as I'm out of town just now. The job of tackling the quests should get easier over time, yet it has to be a labor of love, something that one is compelled to do ifthe job is to be done properly. Perhaps the most time-consuming issue is to first identify each specific quest which is in need of work.

  5. Yes, Osho, Sacred 2 is a rather complex game. However, I do agree with the learned opinions expressed in this thread. You may find some very good advice on building a toon here in the Sacred 2 Guides, Maps, Walkthroughs and Videos I especially found Loco's Piromante (Ice & Blood) helpful: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/15510-locos-piromante-ice-blood The reason that this build outline is so good is because it explains what he is doing, when, and why. The video is icing on the cake, showing the power and majesty of the completed toon. If you follow, somewhat loosely, this build as a guide for other characters, bearing in mind that each have skills best suited for their own class then you should be on the way to a very effective and playable character.

Finally, some advice that I would be remiss without mentioning is this: Be certain to focus on protection skills for your player and I have found that one should best select the focus and lore of one primary combat art and the focus on a protective CA (such as Revered Technology to strengthen Warding Energy for ones Seraphim) so that a key protective skill should be powerful enough to protect sufficiently. Each player type has other unique CAs that will aid in keeping you alive. (I rarely use health potions after the beginning stages of the game, once my toon is well enough protected, and after that point they are used just to keep alive those who I am protecting during some of the quests). Yes, do have fun, find special items, learn to forge good runes, rings, and amulets into your armor and do some exploring (and Kobold slaying in the beginning to level up).

  6. I am currently looking over the Sacred 2 quests for missing information, map images, details that are in need of updates (post community patch) and so on, so forth, and etc.; If anyone knows of any particular quest(s) that could use some love do let me know. (please limit the quests to light campaign only for the time being). Thanks!

  7. Yes, but that would leave you only 16 away from mastery of focus and with it the advantages are huge. Depending on what you wish the results to be, focus mastery is so much more powerful. Personally, I'd go all in, but that's what makes the game fun, you can make it your own. Perhaps you may see if you are satisfied with just 59 points in lore. Although, if you aren't going for mastery, perhaps you should stay at 21 for both focus and lore, the 38 extra points added to focus may be better spent in another skill and later in the game points could be spent to master focus.

  8. Gadzooks, my good man, methinks, my mind hath indeed had its play with me. For, most regrettably here in the state in which I find myself, the date is commonly written as (month/day/year) whilst in other civilized society it is designated as (year/month/day) or oft (day/month/year) dependent on whether it be Big endian, Little endian, or Middle endian. Prithee wouldst thou forgive my foolish and flippant disregard for verity and most overly casual discernment which led me to err so most egregiously? Forsooth, I shall have to moderate my consumption of eggnog going forward.
