If you look under Revered Tech Focus you will see both "-Regen XX.X%" and "Max Level without Penalty YY". The second is the CA cap, if you try to go higher than that level each rune will only give you 0.X rather than a full +1 level. (So you'll end up at say 33.4 rather than 40).
So if you're at the point where you have a XX.X level of BFG, any +Skills will increase the Max Level value (even if you don't see the increase on the tooltip), and thus your max level will increase.
Aah, lol I even knew that and still didnt realize how simple the solution could be
Thanks for quick reply tho
And on a sidenote, what would be to prefer in skill choices from now on?
This is what I got atm:
Ranged Weapon
Concentration
Tactics Lore
Enhanced Perception
Bargaining
Revered Tech Focus
Armor Lore
I assume that you do need constitution, but after that im kinda stuck, I've no idea what to go for as 2 last choices.
-
Revered Tech Focus -> CA level (& CA regen malus reduction)
Tactics Lore -> damage & % crit
Ranged Weapons -> attack (chance to hit) & rate of fire
Damage Lore -> chance to freeze
I've not checked, but Combat Discipline shouldn't affect BFG, since Combat Discipline increases the non-weapon part of a CAs damage & "all" BFG does is summon a BFG-weapon. CD would increase the "bonus" damage you get from Pelting Strikes, Soul Hammer & Assailing Somersault.
Looks like you were seeing the effect of +all skills on your Revered Tech Focus skill, increasing the level of your BFG buff.
Doesnt Revered Tech Focus --> CA max level + -regen?
Or does it increase the levels too? =/ im confused.
It does sound like you're at the max possible level of BFG, thus when you increase your Revered Technology Focus you raise that cap, which raises your BFG level to as high as it can currently reach. That cant be the problem/solution, cause when I read more runes for BFG it does increase, and do skills really got a level cap?
-
Well, what's really up is that my BFG gets boosted when I Equip +all skills, even tho none of the skills states that it should boost it, and its the only Combat art that gets boosted.
Im not saying this is something wrong, its really incredible...
But still would like to know if anyone know which particular skill boosts BFG, cause then I might be able to boost it in other ways too:)
To make things clear, its the level/rank of BFG that gets higher, and not only the damage.
I do know that Tactics Lore boosts its damage, but this is as said the level that gets higher.
Edit:
Hopefully made the question more clear.

What quests are we talking about...side or main or all...because I just went ingame and did a side quests and a white item dropped?
Do u need to be a certain level...my toon was level 8 maybe I will try a higher one because set items may not come that low.
Zandy
I've checked, since lowest level on set item is level 15, you do first at level 14+ start to get set items from quests.
Before that nothing good drops, so go go go level up level 15 chars.

I too, after a long time, tried to make a BFG so I have took the Tactics Lore and Ranged skill,
in order to benefit from the runes of BFG.
So, only one hard point to them.
I consider keeping them this way and do not bother with them, though I know that tactics lore is not
as high as ranged skill.
On the other hand, if I be tempted to put hard points on tactics lore I will begin to think of building
a 3-buffed (adding battle-stance since I can modded that). That of course , will lead on using
Exalted Focus which for now is no interest for me.
As for now , I use constantly Archagel's Wrath and Divine Protection if needed.
Nova seems for now useless.
Dobri?
You really should look into the BFG guide on the Guide forums.
And not using more then 1 hard point on tactics lore is a way to seriously gimp yourself, it should stay maxed at your character level all the time.
Ranged skill on the other hand does just need 1 hard point due to BFG buff giving tons of +skill to it, the only way Tactics lore benefits from BFG is by the weapon which gives next to nothing compared to the given ranged skill.

Pleasure to meet you Devotee and welcome to FDM.
As Aperum said, only crazy people need apply. I'm a little bit worried though... Yer posts seem a bit too sane. You're not some kind of undercover "normy" are you.
Im no "normy"!!
Im the most insane person ever set its foot in these forums.
Would also like my forum rank to be "Insane", tho "Crazy" could do, but then im afraid I'll have to start making spam posts in every forum.

Atm im using RE/GR as buffs, and Scything Sweep/Demonic blow/Frenzied Rampage in a combo for mob clearing, and a solo Frenzied Rampage for bosses.
-
I'd say dex till 50, then 1 vit + 1 dex. You will be just fine
Thanks just what I wanted to know
-
On a sidenote, im planning on building a BFG seraphim too, all I really want to know is where to put the attributes.
-
I better be letting loose the not so smart myself then.
-
Hey.
Since I come to the understanding of that Thoughness isnt needed for an GR using SW, I've decided to switch it out for something else.
This is the skills im thinking of atm, to trade vs Thoughness.
Riding (to make more use of my dear mount).
Shield lore (to make the char an little less hitter but a real though guy to do damage vs).
Blacksmith (simply for the forging alternatives).
Other solution/tips is highly appreciated.
This is the build im going for atm:
tactics lore
dwf
hafted lore
combat discipline
concentration
mcf
armor lore
constitution
combat reflexes
toughness <---Changing this for some of the above mentioned.

Yay, waiting for another week will be tough tho, I might go crazy on the way , hopefull you'll let crazy people into the clan.

It was hardly 37 unlockables in the latest Sacred 2 official forum thread, more like 20.
So if anyone with all 37 codes, would be so nice and PM me them, I'd be a very happy SW
Due to being quite a beginner in the game, and with no higher toons to get some real nasty rares from, something of those 37 unlockables gotta be atleast some upgrade for me
-
Great to see that people recognizes me
-
I've spawned them all today, cant really say that they were that good, most of my already found rares were better.
Tho could be great for newly started chars.
-
So you are from sweden huh? and your real name is Johan? huh? spooky!
Indeed, *hideing under the bed untill its not so spooky anymore*
-
Great to see you applying Devotee. Since we are both at the same time zone more or less I will stop by tonight in the bronze/silver server to met you if you are there and bring some gifts.
That would really be great, and highly appreciated

Highest level achieved for me is 36 as a dual wielding seraphim in softcore singleplayer, thats when I first cleared the whole game on silver difficult.
After that I've tried tons of different char to get a feeling of what I wanted play, and ended up choosing to play a SW.
I choosed to play HC, since my SC experience made it feel like the game needed more hard parts, only problem I had with my SC seraphim was the settled Dragon you kill on your way to Carnach or whatever his name is.
Atm around level 15, havent gotten that far as stated before im still kinda new to the game:>
But loving it more then then ever cause of the continous need to check the health and how big the group of monsters are.
HC forever from now on.

GagleKas over at the SIF has just made a very interesting post regarding his experience with a singular cave that he claims is the answer to leveling woes...with version 2.40!
Hi.
I want to show you a dungeon where you can increase your level very quickly. With my level 82 SW I earn 1,5kk experience in about 30min (89,7% survival bonus, enemies level 96)
1.500.000 experience points! That's soooo much dude! Also, you can earn tons of millions of gold and excellent armor, weapons, relics, etc.
I tested in singleplayer with version 2.40.
The dungeon it's in the Orc's zone. Look at the map:
Description: Dungeon very small. 4 General Orcs, 2 spider.
The technique is very simple:
1) Enter
2) Kill all monsters.
3) Exit the dungeon as soon as you kill the monsters. Don't wait inside it. If you want to sell the items you've earned, do it outside.
4) Repeat proces.
That's all. Have fun!
Anyone been here? Is this gonna be the new hot spot?
gogo
Would that cave be possible to do at lower levels, or are the monsters always level 96 there?.
Still kinda new to the game and havent really figured out yet how the monster level adjustments works.

Hi, just wanted to make an introduction of myself so that everyone would know who I am when/if the time comes that I join you clan:)
My name is Johan, I live in Sweden in a small Town called Gävle.
I am 21 years old, 22 this summer in July.
My interests would be anything conserning/including computers, I am what most people would call a computer freak
At the moment im working at an Computer support company, doing what I like the most, and will most likely be doing that for atleast 10years to come.
My family would be my 2 parents and 1 dog, 3 rabbits/bunnies.
At the moment most of my spare time goes to Team fortress 2 and Sacred 2 (either online playing or offline trying to figure out what to play and what build it would be).
Well thats all for me...

Hi, Devotee, and great seeing you here! Clan tags are a bit of a wonky thing with the way Ascaron has set them up. Yes, they are mandatory, but we only ask that new toons created online in the HC servers have the [D.a.r.k] tag in front of the name. The tag is player made, and can be done when you are creating a new toon. Right now we're only running the clan for for new members in EU servers only, though we do have old members in US servers while we hope that there will one day be a server merge.
Ascaron has made it so that we can't change names anymore in mid leveling... pity. If you're concerned that applying for our clan would mean that you would have to erase toons just so you could have the tag on them, answer is nooooooooope.
And to echo Dobri's line...meet the gang online, come on down and apply!
gogo
p.s. with your min number of posts of course
Great answers just what I needed to hear, and of course I intended to create an apply for your clan (one of the reasons I've made this post, just dont tell anyone sssshhh ssssh:) ).

Hey, just found my way to Sacred 2, and been reading through a ton of pages at the sacred 2 official forums and finally found out about your clan.
But one thing I would like to ask something about, is the Mandatory clan tag,
Does this mean that every new member of your clan have to make a new char or does the game supply some clan tag function, im kinda new and wouldnt know myself.
