  1. I completed the side quest Enemy Movement... and then headed to town.

I found an undead next to a merchant with a ? over his head. I clicked on him and BLAMMO! Oscura Tinticua Magica quest started.

Now I can talk to the combomaster zombie.

I don't know if the side quest had any bearing on this. Probably I could've just talked to this zombie next to the merchant in the town closer to the end (further in than Diannja's tower).

    Unstuck! Unstuck! :):P:P

    Thank you!

  2. I like the Shadow Warrior's quips. I suspect all the characters have quips based on opponents... but his make me smile. Evil-ly. :)

I'm confused by, I think it's the Seraphim, who says she'll take heads for her collection... that should've been the dryad methinks.

The High Elf says something ENTIRELY RUDE when she accepts the first quest of the main quest like. Something about a foul odor (said in German syntax, but in English). I would expect the dark High Elf to say such things, not the goodie-two-shoes High Elf.

    Shadow Warrior for the win!

  3. I have to get a quest from the combo master... however, the combo master isn't giving quests (either going back down the trail, or as I expect, deeper into the Blood Forest).

Is there a quest I need to do before the combomaster zombie allows me to take a quest from him/it? I think one of the four in town is needed... but I made the mistake of taking each of them.

Well... what I should do then is complete them one at a time and see which one causes the combo master to now offer a quest! (Amazing how clearly one can think with a non-tired head, eh?) :)

  4. Hmm.

Now... well. I'm stuck again. :(

I dealt with Diaanja's little underground pet... and did the stuff up to getting her diary or book.

I've even read her book myself.

There is no pickup from there. I've visited the villages up and down the trail from the site.

Is there perhaps a pressure plate to walk on in the dungeon where we get the book? I purposefully did not teleport away... so I would avoid missing a trigger plate.

Yet. I guess I did anyway.

I've tried grabbing any-old quests from the area... and even completed the out-of-area Kobold Chieftain quest... in case it shoke something loose.

    No dice.

    Please help me again! :)

  5. Wow! What snappy service!

    Thanks.

I had (in my mind) clicked and clicked and clicked on the various doors... but I forgot: quests are triggered by passing over certain portions of the ground.

You have to move over just the correct section of ground... and THEN click on the locked gates.

Thanks Andy (and Nick!). You're a frustration saver!

  6. The main quest chain for the Blood Forest eventually leads you to Diaanja's Ruined Tower. Quest name: Adventurers.

You have to kill her pet, a HUGE hellhound.

Once you kill her pet, you have to solve some barriers. For the life of me, I don't know how.

    The wiki doesn't help...

I have to take down some barriers pressing switches?

And then talk to Hattmir in the locked cage (referred to in the log book as a shed).

However, the location of these switches is eluding me.

    Please help!

  7. Welcome!

    1) regen per hit (RpH) is found on rings. Socket them into armour, or wear them on your 2 ring slots in your equipment. Unfortunately, RpH is only available in the expansion. So... don't factor anything said about that into your regens. RpH became the exciting new addition to the add-on Ice and Blood which didn't get released for the consoles.

    2) focus skill allows to disregard limit on level of combat arts in that group. Lore=damage + speed of activating. Focus=regen+ max level allowed for combat arts.

If you're stuck on skills.. people generally pick Focus.

If you main attack is going to be melee, you should have both skills (lore+focus). Most will take focus on secondary combat art groups.

  8. Nice to see you.

I'm still Sacred 2-ing. With the expansion, the game is much more stable and challenging.

*hypno-toad hypnotism of death* You will come over to the Icy-Bloody-Side YwcottIBBS! YwcottIBBS! (etc, hypno-toadically)*

[lacks smiley for hypnotoad--invites use of imagination]

  9. So the life leech bug is reflected magnified life leech? Sounds like Pak Dain to me. (from S1, only with ranged attacks instead of life leech).

In my mind there always should be something that can take any character down... if it doesn't exist the the game is too easy. No danger=no excitement. Godmode does not appeal to me.

I thought the Crystal Region (expansion Ice and Blood) had opponents with life leech or reflect life leech that swarmed the player and used the player's Area of Effect against them. That was the fatal area for life leechers I thought.

  10. Shuriken with life leech seems a popular choice amongst the niob players {which I'm not one of yet}. The high attack speed combined with % LL takes down bosses fast.

But Pole Arms also spawn with LL%... is their damage (on the weapon) irrelevant? Is the modified damage type (fire, magic, poison, ice) useless?

I suspect that Magic damage type with it's 6.8% reduction of base statistics would pack quite a wallop with bosses--per hit. Is that 6.8% based on damage dealt, or 6.8% of stats?

Is that 6.8% stackable, or a one time maximum reach? (I note that bosses I'm fighting with Skeletal Fortress receive a bump in hit points occasionally during the fight--which I suspect is the weakness wearing off--and it is a significant bump)

Also... ice damage with it's freeze of bosses is also seductive... due to the elimination of incoming damage while the boss remains frozen.

    Discuss.

  11. Let me say this about spots:

I got an unique to drop from a box in Khorum. The box outside the merchant near the portal.

That box can drop uniques. A known good spot.

If I remember correctly, that chest drops only a few jewelry pieces, but it does drop them often :) But, what does it have to do with hidden spots? :D

MHS and chests are different yes... I concede the point. ;)

  12. Sounds like sleep apnea... but could be something else. (INAD)

With sleep apnea, people stop breathing and it jolts them awake. Usually happens with people over 200 lbs... at least 3 people I know have it. They now have machines that push air into their lungs...they wear a mask to bed.

A sleep study (where they hook you up for the night and monitor you) should pin point what is going on.

---of course... it could just be nerves. Didn't you say you'd just finished your higher level education?

    Good luck!

  13. I have both console and Ice & Blood versions. I did not see any extra damage with combat discipline on spectral hand ( and spectral fortification). I tried each with and without combat discipline and the damage numbers are the same. Can anyone confirm the C.D. has no effect on damage for these to C.A.'s? Wiki does not list C.D. as boosting damage for these two C.A.'s. I just assumed it would.

    ...and you put these combat arts into a combo? And used the combo? {Just to be clear}
