Hey guys. Are there any downloads for this game, similar to Sacred 2 Gold's Community Patch? I can't seem to find anything.

Sorry all for the terribly late bump, but installing the latest Community Patch seems to have solved the issue for me, like Hooyaah said in his second reply to this thread. Thanks to all of you.

Yeah I'm probably just imagining things due to reading about VSync, and VSync related latency should be the same in a game on different PCs.

Can someone else please try using VSync in the game and tell me if they notice any input lag?

Great, it's either lag without VSync, or input lag with VSync.

So apparently enabling VSync fixed my lag issues. The game is now very smooth. Is it safe to use VSync? No crashes or anything reported by users? Edit: Also do you guys know if it is possible to configure the camera in optionsCustom.txt so that it is third-person-like? If yes could you tell me what do I need to put in that .txt file? Thanks.

Yeah they're kind of like flickering with with a yellow-ish color, I'll do the reinstall after I upgrade the CPU and report back here.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Do you think reinstalling the game (along with its stuff like VCredist) might solve the problem? I also notice shadows flickering, especially in Griffinborough.

Sorry for confusion, I play Sacred 2 Gold vanilla (as in unmodded). I don't experience crashes other than when closing down the game, and I'd like to try some suggestions before having to install the community patch because as said I like my games unmodded. It looks like it also changes the game menu and I prefer the old one.

GTX 1050 2GB, A10-7800, 8GB RAM, Win10 64bit. I'm about to switch the A10 7800 for a Ryzen 3 1300X, but I don't think it will be any different. Playing vanilla GOG version.

Hello. Is there a way to reduce the lag in Griffinborough? It's quite extreme on my PC, like every 1 second in the more populated areas of the town.

Hello Is there a way that would fix having to launch the game three times? (The first two times it launches only in the background and I have to use Task Manager to end the process, it always works the third time for some reason. I'm on Windows 10 x64, and I've tried various compatibility settings, too

hello I was just about to face the giant octopus boss, but found myself inadequately armored (and skilled) to beat him, so I teleported away in the middle of the boss fight (yes, coward me) but now, when I return to the cave with the locked door, that leads to the octopus, the locked door that the shaman unlocked when I was going to kill the octopus the first time, is locked, and the shaman is nowhere to be found does that mean I have to start a new game?

humble bundle's drm-free latest version, no cm patch and not planning to either, I only play vanilla games

so you don't think it could be a missing file/installation/unpacking error that could be causing it? I hope not

I tried both desm's and your's suggested workarounds but none worked, while the intro videos did not appear neither did the silly messages

but I still need to find a way to launch the normal executable with the screen

I found out that launching Sacred via a SACRED2SAVE File (for example hero01) makes the game launch with the silly messages screen

hello and thank you for your suggestions however I'm still running XP therefore I have neither options available in the game's properties however checking the Run in 256 colors or something like that makes the silly messages screen reappear but of course I'm not gonna run it in 256 colors because it's buggy and ugly could you suggest me some options files which I could look into, and perhaps find something and edit it?
