    Hello @Starling and dear Sacred fans. I've installed ReBorn 3.1 beta (found here , https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1JTnSysCizWYvJm2H3lIF3mmOtysVPp3g ) and at launch I had an error saying it can't find SRglbl.res. So I checked where it should be and it appears that the fr scripts folder still has global.res in it, while other languages had SRglbl.res. So I just tried renaming global.res to SRglbl.res and it seems to run that way.

    Added too the following options in Settings.cfg and it seems to load correctly now.

    SR_CUSTOM_RES : 1
    SR_HEIGHT : 1080
    SR_WIDTH : 1920

    Will try that ASAP :bounce:

    Seems to work great. Had to create a new profile in NVidiaInspector to force AA but the game looks gorgeous.

    Hello! Ooops! I guess you are choose French language in settings.cfg, but the mod doesn't support it! Can you send me your global.res? I will add it in next version!
    And thanks for report about quest arrow!

    guys im currently having FPS drop issues on the far mood view of the game, can somebody give me some advice on how to make my game smooth?

    That is old sick of the game (especially on laptops) :
    We will try decide it in future...
    Can you tell configuration of your PC?
    Sometimes helps change compatibility on older versions of windows, or change priority in Task Manager...

    Starling, thank you and your team for all your efforts. It's nice to see something new happening with my favorite game after all these years. I wanted to point out a bug I came across while using the HD Mod in full screen mode. I have a problem with the 1366 x 768 resolution, my monitor (some old Asus 1920x1080 60Hz lcd) can't display this resolution under Windows 10, and Sacred crashes. The mod works perfectly in windowed mode or without widescreen. The error message is "initApp() Error initializing DirectX", but I really think it is due to the resolution problem. Do you think there is a possible workaround? Thanks for your help.

    Hello! Thanks for your feedback! Yes, I know about this problem. I guess your graphics card or monitor doesn't support 1366x768. You can try add new resolution in graphics card's application. Otherwise, need some wait,  I am still working on this problem! :ninja:

    Hey!

    I once played with Cheat Engine and tried to change the camera position or size (so either I could move the camera freely myself or make the game render more of the ingame map). Long story short, I could achieve neither of these, but I found that the game didn't render anything outside of the zone that the 2D sizes specified. Even if I made some mamory values lower, the normal screen area was left unrendered and strange flickering started to occur. Not sure if this helps in any way, but I tried to get these memory values by zooming in and out constantly and then searching in Cheat Engine for lower/higher values. I suppose that you have to set some values for the game itself for it to render 3D objects because now it thinks "hey, these are out of screen bounds anyway".

    Also, if you already have a way to move the camera, please tell me! I would like to create a full online map (like the current one is full HD, this one would be 8K HD!) by scrolling through the whole map, recording it and stitching it together somehow.

    Hello! Thanks for answer!
    Today I have a big progress in my work, I will show later!

    About free camera: I have some addresses, maybe its can help, but it works for Sacred Vault's "Sacred.exe", not for 2.28

    I have major respect for this attempt.  It's better than any other widescreen "mod" people have made.  Usually what you see is someone who has their aspect ratio stretched horizontally - it's almost physically painful to see those pics.  That distortion used to be something you wanted to avoid.

    Enough negativity though.  I like the way it looks, aside from the interface not being centered and the missing NPC's obviously.  It looks like the problem is that it's only "drawing" to the right side.  I don't know anything about the code required, but maybe if you could get it to draw equally on the left and the right, then NPC positions would be corrected?

    It's hard to say. Sacred came out in that weird transitional time for dungeon crawlers when 3D models were being used for characters but environments were still 2D backgrounds.

    Thanks!
    You right, that window extended to the right, it is only way, I think. Also I think, a centering a interface easily, than correcting model's coordinates. That's why I'm not did it in video. It doesn't matter now.  My plan is including three steps:
    1. Increase resolution (done);
    2. Correct model coordinates;

    3. Correct interface

    I have think about centering image and trying to "increase sides", but a few fast attempts was failed.
