Which mount is recommended? The Lizard with -Capricious Hunter? You mention the "Chthonic Lizard", but that is an Elite Mounts Project mount geared towards the Nature Weaver aspect.

    *edit*

Okay, so the Elite mounts mod is part of the community patch, but why should I take the "Chthonic Lizard"?

Greetings! Sorry for the late reply.

I chose the Chthonic Lizard as a personal preference, mainly because of the +health and +willpower bonuses it provides. Since we use a lot of Reg./hit, we don't care about the -regen time to Capricious Hunter aspect. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the Capricious Hunter focused lizard doesn't provide the +willpower boost.

But in fact, you can basically choose whatever mount type you'd like, there's no cons if you choose, let's say, the CH focused one. The build will still work wonders no matter the mount :D

Hope I could help a little bit.

    Hallo RavenLight!

lol in the old days there were big down load buttons in the Wiki besides all the uniques... I dont think there is one there for this?  lol that was a pretty hot topic of discussion in the old days...the wiki had "transformed" into a knowledge bank into a download account

    gogo

Not really checked the download buttons to be honest. I just accessed the wiki page about lightsabers today but didn't even knew it had download buttons lol :D Thanks for telling me, might be useful for test characters using X weapon or Y armor piece.

As for my new lightsaber toon, I just went for Bargaining, don't really like to pre-download items as it ruins all the momentum when I actually find some set/uniques or even legendaries. So far I got 3 from drops and bought one from a vendor (I have both EP and Bargaining though). Level 23 by now.

  3. Sorry for being a little late here or commenting later on at this guide. As a recent Inquisitor player (really started spamming him since early 2020 when pandemic hit and we had to stay home) I have to admit this is a nice build overall and pretty much on point for my taste of play.

Still remember I've had not long ago a pretty similar style (was using the Soul Reaver buff instead of Doppelganger, which I left as a stand alone spell) and was one piece away from completing the Disgraced Gods set... all until I took a one-hit-knockout from the dragon champs on the Seraphim Islands.

One suggestion I'd like to say is that you can consider learning Armor Lore a bit earlier than level 65 (if your skill build is listed based on levels). It really reduces regeneration time as well as granting you a little more survivability and movement speed. In fact, Armor Lore is a must-have skill for all my builds, no matter the style nor the toon, I like to have it way early on, at levels 8-12 or even earlier :D

Personally, I love Kha-Beleth with my "Jedi" Dragon Mage. I choose Elemental Lore as the second skill and the mod for stun and speed. The third mod is up to you, but bear in mind that GoW really is variable on how thick or narrow the wind stream is. If you do a narrow stream all those effects will hit multiple times, so multiple chance for stun. For my weapon, only Maul's Swordstaff matches what I want. There are other lightsabers available, but those two handers really offer a lot.

I went for Kha-Beleth as well, I find it the best in terms of aspect-utility. As for the weapon I personally prefer Heridon Jade Saber since it gives +all combat arts, -regen time, +chance of finding special items as well as +damage physical (and GoW is full physical damage). This coupled with a Stalworth Safeguard that provides a lot of resistance.

After surviving early game you reach a point when you can spam GOW. Early game poisoning effect has more effect, late game I prefer spamming GOW when standing in a large Maelstrom. My normal choose is endgame based because I a mlazy: stun/radius/impact.

Stun from runes of protection and GOW means less enemies blown around all over the screen. Being lazy means: Not having to run miles and miles to loot corpses. It saves a lot of time,

Thanks a lot for your time! Really helpful. And yeah, the poisoning seems to have really low damage to me as well. Was confused with the silver mod since both radius and spread speed are what GOW needs to be effective and sadly you can only choose one.

The +x% Intelligence  which is in the set could be a great boost to the already high intelligence from companion. But I do not know from experience how high the damage boost from Intelligence is; more damage and better spellpower looks nice how ever.

Thanks. One more thing to ask you, since you're a very experienced DM player, which modifications would you take for Gust of Wind? I swear all of them looks amazingly interesting and I am confused a bit. :D

My normal choose for a Dragon Mage using combat arts affected by '+combat art range' was the Draagen's Legacy. Main reason was 7 items are enough for +ca-range bonus from the set so you have one piece free for something you need: either damage mitigation or even more ca-range.

My current dragon mage is a character to test out ee3 mod and it is far away from having a full set since I started with an empty chest. Since the test character has all three foci and lores I would opt for him Kha-Beleth's_Sovereignty, be it just because I use all spells and all weapon types. Kha-Beleth's_Sovereignty is nice for a character who isn't really specialized.

Chaoskampf needs 8 items for its final bonus, reducing flexibility a bit.

Auspicious Powers is more a choose for a hybrid character giving x% life leech (but only from a single item)

So my choose would be 7 items from Draagens Legacy and the torso from Auspicious Powers: ca range from 7 items from set and from the torso, x% life leech. magic find and damage over time reduction all from torso.

Yeah that was my point as well. As far as I searched, Draagen set is focused on Elemental Magic, but his appearance kinda make it low for me. I like Kha Beleth set a lot, looks badass for me, especially on special mount. Would you think it is fit for an Elemental Magic build?

  8. After losing a hardcore Temple Guardian at level 77 (sadly), I've decided to give an Elementalist DM a try.

I will use Gust of Wind as a main offensive spell (Elemental Magic main aspect) with Familiar and Runes of Protection as buffs.

Since DM has a lot of amazing sets (not refering to appearance but bonuses they provide), I am so confused which set to focus on.

    My choices so far are:

    -Draagen's Legacy

    -Auspicious Power

    -Chaoskampf

    -Kha-Beleth's Sovereignity

Any help and tips will be more than appreciated!

Can you do something for me?  Can you go into the pak folder and open graphics26.zip.

From there go into the folder models\heroes\guardian\

Is there a folder called "batteries" located in there?  If so delete it.

Should I extract the zip file or just delete the file from inside the Winrar program? I did found the folder called batteries while exploring the file but didn't extracted it yet.

  10. Hello! So I created my new TG as I said and I encountered a weird bug/interaction between batteries and pistols. The explanation is:

When I switch between weapon slots or when I enter/exit caves or portals, my pistols seems to miss all the shots with the bullets hitting the ground (being fired from like the ankle level). The only fix for this is to remove the battery item equipped and then put it back.

Anyone has a permanent fix for this or some idea? It starts to be frustrating having to put in/put out the battery all the time.

Ancient Magic would be my choice.  Kill things faster so they don't have a chance to hurt you.  :schot:

With Armor Lore, Constitution, Untouchable Force, and T-Energy Shroud boosted by Energy Shield Lore you should have enough survivability built in.

Thing is I don't have a Lore/Focus skill on Source Warden to modify the Untouchable Force if I go Ancient Magic. Is it effective without the modifications?

  12. Greetings! I want to create a new triple aspect hybrid Temple Guardian and I'm stuck at the last skill. I will use the following spells:

    • Devout Guardian - T-Energy Shroud (buff), Combat Alert (second buff), Battle Extension
    • Lost Fusion - Furious Emblazer (main offensive combat art)
    • Source Warden - Untouchable Force (3rd buff after Concentration mastery), Icy Ember, Charged Grid

Here's my skill build so far:

    2 - Armor Lore
    3 - Tactics Lore
    5 - Devout Guard. Focus
    8 - Constitution
    12 - Lost Fusion Focus
    18 - Ranged Weapons
    25 - Lost Fusion Lore
    35 - Concentration
    50 - Warding Energy Lore
    65 - now here's where I'm stuck. Toughness/Source Warden Focus/Ancient Magic/Combat Discipline?

Toughness is a great skill, helping a lot with that damage mitigation but so is Source Warden Focus since I'd like to use 3 Combat Arts from this aspect and it kinda needs modifications.

What's your opinion or choice in this situation? Any kind of help would be more than needed! :D Cheers!

Interesting thing. I was pretty positive that it only could have been a bug, but it seems to be reproducible, if it happened to other players, too. I honestly haven't thought about a way to "fix" it, more like a way to actually get on the island itself and check, if something happens.

One thing I would like to know is, if you had the same chain of occurrences like I did, with the quest marker on the Shadowy Catacombs. Or if it just showed you the quest marker on the tiny island?

Thank you very much for your reply!

No, for me there wasn't any quest marker on the Catacombs. It only appeared and remained on that tiny island until I would eventually finish the game and for every character I played since then, the quest from the Undead Legion where you have to kill the 3 Liches and collect the magic pearls (or some jewels) triggered this. Couldn't managed to find a way to access it even now.

  14. It happened to me as well, 5-6 months ago. (you can see here). For me, it started after I killed the 3 Liches from the Undead Legion chain quest. (and it was not the only time this happened during this quest, even on different characters). I believe this is most probably a bug, since I didn't found too much info about it on the internet.

Now started using EE mod (2.4 and now updated to 3.0) and this stopped happening, I can finish the Undead Legion without this random quest marker to appear on that island.

I would add that the beginning of the Cursed Forest is good (doing the 3~4 quests of start till the deadly demonic Eyes), good chance of drop + good quest rewards and the Grunwald Forest is good too, in freeplay, you do the 2 quests, Adventures in Forest ( http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Adventures_in_the_Forest ).

Thanks! The Cursed Forest is more likely an experience-farm location for me (those constructs with the superspawn are always juicy) and I feel like those champion demonic eyes quickly kill me, even though I have Armor Lore, Constitution and Toughness all mastered. Also pumping up Vitality each level since the start. Now having around 16.000 HP and 10.000 resistance but I still feel squishy without a %Lifeleech source.

In EE, quests provide a good chance of getting set items as a reward.  I don't mean the static rewards, but just the basic "chance for good drop" that will trigger in addition to whatever the static quest reward is.

Does this apply to 1 star quests as well? Or just 3-4+ stars ones like in the vanilla version? I don't mean vanilla 1 or 2 star-quests doesn't have the chance to trigger a valuable drop (I got a few from the Sloeford quests long ago), but even with EE on, I feel like I was getting more valuables from random chests/barrels/treasures around the map rather than doing quests. I assume it's just me being super unlucky :sob:

Basically any region that has a high density of champions is good for item farming. The path between Entruag and Zazaruik, Southern Hissil'Ta, some areas in the Desert, the Jungle has a lot of champions as well. If you have access to the Orc Cave that's also a good option, but playing those regions with Super Spawn gives you more bang for the buck than doing runs in the Cave.

I used to farm Orc Cave when I wasn't using the EE mod and it worked well, except that it was a bit boring to be honest (don't judge me :D). I feel like you now win more from the super spawn, not gonna lie. Will surely try your locations soon! Thanks for responding!

  17. Currently playing a level 105 Inquisitor (EE 3.0 enabled), focused on the Disgraced Gods set (for the % Life Leech) with 2 missing pieces from it since level 50-ish.

What's the best location/area/region in the game for valuable items farming? (Except Guardians farming since I don't have a % Life Leech modifier and it takes tons of time to kill them while risking useless deaths).

Note that I have around +60% chance to find valuables from Sacred relics as well some equipment (not that it matters that much, just mentioning :D)
