  1. Is that yellow or gold? I struggle to tell on this monitor due to a slightly yellow tint to the screen makes life hard in game as well lol. I guess it's not bad if the armour is significantly higher than a white/blue relic of a similar level... Edit: while I remember (Ice and Blood made me forget ), Slayer, are you okay with me throwing CA info at you in MS Excel (2003) spreadsheets? I've added the Dragon Mage to the page layouts for Main Campaign and Character Specific quests
  2. I didn't even realise it was out until I read your post (you might have gathered ), then I went and d/l'd it, installed it a few hours ago. It's nice to have the new extra control over how your character looks, but it would've been nicer to have a 'one off' option to customise existing characters...oh well. I've also managed to glitch the camera a couple of times - sometimes on full zoom out it will get 'stuck' (doesn't respond to camera move commands, although it follows your character when you move) and start vibrating; the fix appears to be going into the gameplay options and reducing the max zoom level. Once it's fixed you can increase the max zoom level again. Not quite sure what's triggering that yet... If anyone's wondering, the version number after Ice and Blood is installed is 2.64 - time to go hunting for anything new and improved from 2.43! (Such as the fact that apparently all weapons now have the 'damage conversion' slot for poison fangs/ice crystals/lumps of lava/magic pearls) And wraith, all contributions are valuable, no matter how large or small
  3. HOLD EVERYTHING! The Expansion's out!! *cough* yes, umm, thanks for the (unintentional) heads-up there wraith Now, on a more sensible note: I have almost all my info for this week (3 quests to do), but I may be delayed uploading it depending on the weather. Basically if the weather's nice I'm going to be 'volunteered' to help build a wooden reconstruction of Hadrian's Wall (aka. a fence) across the garden...for the third time this weekend If the weather's not nice...I may still be delayed given I've just downloaded Blood and Ice
  4. Okay, well there's three things that I can think might have happened here... If you can't find the quest in your logbook at all (and that should be easy to check considering it's on its own page), then either: a) you didn't pick up the List of Names that Tybor dropped when you killed him; or b) you did pick up the List of Names, but for some reason the game bugged/glitched and didn't give you the quest; or c) the game bugged/glitched and Tybor didn't drop the List of Names when you killed him Now, case b is the worse case scenario - in that case you can try going back to the Shadowy Catacombs and seeing if the List of Names has reappeared up near the sarcophagus, in the hopes the game didn't register you as having picked it up and has respawned it after a Save/Exit/Load cycle. If it hasn't, there isn't anything else you can do...bad luck. Case c happens sometimes in the Blind Guardian quest, where you kill an enemy that should drop a particular quest item...and it doesn't. Solution here is generally to Save/Exit, wait a couple of minutes, Load and then check the area where you killed the enemy. Typically the enemy will still be dead, but the item it should have dropped will now have spawned there. Case a is the 'easiest'. Just head back to the Shadowy Catacombs and the List of Names should be waiting for you to pick it up near the sarcophagus where you killed Tybor. If you do find the quest in your logbook, but Officer Sin'doral is still missing from the camp, then unfortunately you probably have a terminal 'game refusing to spawn quest NPC' bug...bad luck. However, Officer Sin'doral won't spawn until you have the quest in your logbook - you receive the quest by picking up a List of Names, not by talking to Sin'doral Hope one of those helps. PS. Having another SW in silver currently doing the class quest chain shouldn't have any effect
  5. If you want, at some point (I may have said this already?) I have a notebook full of Character Quest information, for High Elf, Inquisitor, Temple Guardian, and Shadow Warrior. Only a little on the others, but it's a lot of info. Just shoot me a message if you want to compare notes ;3 ~Jaggy Hmm, if you wanted to use your notes to put some information on the wiki for those quests feel free to go ahead and do that. Unless you have screenshots for them I'll be playing through them for those anyway (which is when I tend to do my notes). Otherwise feel free to correct anything I post incorrectly/miss out on the wiki - or tell me on here to get my facts straight!
  6. Great! Glad I could be of help Happy gaming!
  7. Thanks gogo. This is something I enjoy doing. Same here It's nice to be able to give back to the gaming community rather than just lurking through the other wikis, walkthroughs, guides, faqs etc. out there. Slayer - hmm...when I get around to working on the blue chain quests/character specific quests in the HE region (some time this week or next) I'll be making a load of new characters, and they tend to be rune magnets... I'll try and remember and jot some facts and figures down for you on attribute changes/stat changes, and CA level/mods -> dmg, if that would be any use to you?
  8. Unfortunately finishing the quest is the only way to get rid of any 'henchmen' (at least until someone gets frustrated enough to build a character editor!). If you're underground in that little dungeon area in red that I posted the map of, and the quest hasn't updated...I'm afraid your outlook doesn't look good.
  9. Welcome back How's the character planner project going?
  10. No, we just work well together. ZGold has her own way of updating the Sacred 2 quests. I started working on the S1 quests, cause I have my own way too. I did not think it was a good idea to interfer with her methods. So she is completing the Sacred 2 information and I am completing the S1 information. I can double check when she needs something double checked, because I am playing both games. *cough* fixed your post Ysne And no Schot, I'm only hmm, 60-70% machine Ysne - I'm building my S1 characters back up (lost them all after a laptop crash ), so feel free to let me know if you need something double checked in S1; I might have a character somewhere near
  11. I find that if I can get a character to level 15 or higher, that character can almost always best Gar'Collosus in bronze, regardless of how lousy my build is. Any lower than that and I almost always lose, regardless of how good my build is. Must be how I play or something. Well, average level of my characters (if I'm literally just doing their blue chain and main quests) is about 9 at the Wall. Otherwise I guess I should be okay...my very first character (an Inquisitor iirc) got to Gar Colossus and got smished...repeatedly... lol, not sure what I did wrong - failed to spam health potions and stood in a T-energy pool probably! Quest information added: * Rich Soil * Spider Infestation * The Talisman Quest information overhauled: * Sweet Present That should be Teardrop Hamlet's quests all done (main/blue chain/character specific quests excepted) - on to Sonnenwind! Quest information added: * If the Reputation is Down the Gutter... * The Plague * The Hunt (Seraphim Blue Chain quest) Quest information overhauled: * The Pelt * The Prodigal Son That's me for the week
  12. Ysne - you're getting ahead of me now I've got *thinks* around 17 individual side/chain quests to finish up in the High Elf region next week, then I was planning on a busman's holiday and getting the character specific/blue chain quests done in the High Elf region. Then I should have a whole gaggle of characters in the Human region for double checking etc. Quite how many of those will be able to get past Gar Collossus... I've gotten around to editing the Blessed Rock Manor location page myself (I'll edit my earlier post just in case someone sees that first), so it now has text on the page asking if you want to locate Blessed Rock Manor (not the Broken Lance Tavern!) on the world map, as well as the correct coordinates for Blessed Rock Manor. Quest information added: * Dirty Streets * Panem et Circenses * The Tame Bear * Help with the Hunt * Easter Eggs (The Eggs, The Easter Cult) That should be all the quests (aside from any main/blue chain/character specific quests) for Thylysium and Blessed Rock Manor. Onwards to Teardrop Hamlet! The Blind Guardian quest reward weapons seem to be missing statistic images on the unique quest items page here. Gogo? The bunny ears from the Easter Eggs quest also don't seem to have been added to the wiki yet? Quest information added: * Bad Mood (Punishment, Revenge) * Protection Money (Sapless Potions, Renik the Priest, Renik's End)
  13. I believe the location for this is actually below ground; try going into a dungeon and seeing whether the marker's placement then makes more sense. Edit: I think you want the cave/dungeon highlighted in red here.
  14. Great, thanks Ysne Ok, with the one that accepted everytime there was an option, I ended up with two quests, Sapless potion and Renik's end. Renik's end did get moved under the Tutorial Runemaster quest in the logbook. All quests completed successfully. With the one that rejected each time I ended up with 3 quests under Protection Money. Sapless Potion, which shows up as failing, Renik the priest, and Renik's end, both of which completed successfully. I hope that answers the issue. If not, I can always try another character. I forgot to check how much the gardener took. That's fantastic Ysne, thanks a bunch for this I'm going to hazard a guess that the gardener takes a 'percentage' of the money you've got, maybe *oils the maths gears in her head* 0.1% ...? Hmm...maybe worth investigation (along with what happens if you try to bribe the gardener with no money!), but it's not urgent. I certainly can't recall any time I've done the quest and been told I didn't have enough money to bribe him. Anyway, we'll call it done, have drink and move on to the next quests!
  15. I think that is an accurate assessment. I did a very quick compare and it does look pretty complete. I did not notice any obvious missing quests with a quick scan like that. I just added the side quest list for Silver Creek onto the places page for Silver Creek in S1. The undocumented Enlightened Iron quest shows up in red on the places page. It does not show up on the side quest page. I had a quick look at the Sacred wiki (it's the first time I've been on that one rather than the Sacred 2 wiki...) and it looks like a very different setup that relies on manually created quest lists rather than automatic category lists. You'd have to edit the side quest page and add it yourself for it to show up in red (or even in blue/purple if it had a page) there. Anyone know if the Easter Eggs quest will always drop a set of Bunny Ears for the class of the character you're playing? I vaguely remember reading something that makes me think it does, but I can't remember for certain, and the ears don't show up as a reward in the quest log. I'm kinda disappointed - I was secretly hoping for that Level 30 Pink Bunny Suit mentioned in the Silly Messages (and showcased in brown/black by the Cultists in Clearview)!
  16. That's fine I'm fairly confident most (if not all) of the Chapter 1 side/chain quests are listed, but I've not started comparing my lists of Chapter 2+ quests with the wiki yet.
  17. That sounds good, rather than adding the pages though, just make sure the (red) page missing links are on the side/chain/character etc. pages - that way I can see at a glance what's missing What I had in mind was both making sure the lists were complete and then making sure the templates were set up for each page. I have to reread the help files to make sure I'm doing each of those correctly, adding the template to a red quest page and making sure the red quest shows up in the various list pages are slightly different processes, at least they were the last time I was doing that. They are; I think I may not have explained myself too well the first time When I'm putting quest info on the wiki I have both the Side Quests and the Chain Quests pages (not the category pages for these) open - along with the Main Campaign Quests and/or Character Specific Side Quests pages if necessary. This means I can quickly look at the lists and see which quests don't yet have a page (red links), and which do. Since a red link quest definitely has no information, I make these a priority for uploading, leaving checking quests that most likely already have information until last. It would be most helpful to me (and anyone else who wants to chip in with quest info where it's missing), therefore, if you can make sure that the lists on those pages are complete, but not add pages/templates for the quests that don't have any information yet (unless, of course, you're adding all the information as well ). This will also prevent wiki users from thinking information is there which isn't (yet), or bringing 'empty' quest pages up through a search. Red quests won't show up in the category lists, since those are automatically created based on each quest's page and its categories.
  18. I managed to locate two shadow characters in that area earlier, so I can confirm the Decline/Accept and Accept/Decline choices have the same outcomes. It's just the other two (Decline/Decline and Accept/Accept) that need checking out. It looks to me as if the 'theory' behind this quest is that you get awarded for 'consistency'. I.e. if you are 'evil' and kill the Ringleader, you should be 'evil' and bribe the Gardener, but if you are 'good' and let the Ringleader live, you should be 'good' and refuse to bribe the Gardener. Although you will always get the second and third quests completed successfully no matter what your choices, you only seem to be retroactively awarded a successful first quest depending on your second choice compared to your first choice. It's a nice idea...though I think it would have worked better if light characters were penalised for being 'evil', and shadow characters were penalised for being 'good'...but then I dread to think of the potential coding hash that might have been made of it then... Can you also check how much gold the gardener takes from you if you bribe him. He took 200 gold off my level 17 Seraphim and she had around 250k on her. I'm just wondering if this is a fixed amount or a 'token' amount, since it doesn't say anything on the screen (unlike the toll to cross the bridge East of Blessed Rock Manor, which pops up 'Payed 500 Gold' if you pay the toll)
  19. Ty, ty all I believe there's work ongoing on Places, NPCs, the Bestiary, pretty much anywhere you can find something that isn't already mentioned in the wiki! @Ysne - you could always make a daily/per playing session dump of your character files to a memory stick, they're not that big... Yeah, and then it gets lost when one of the kiddies needs it for homework and erases my files. Anyway, I just got the Tarek the Minotaur filled in for S1. I just hate insomnia. Later: I started filling in the Shining Light quest in S1. I have collected lot's of info on quests in both S1 and Sacred 2 from gamefaqs and other places that I have collated, which I do use to help verify that the info is correct. I am willing tol start inputting where quests can be found and beginning info for the Sacred 2 quests that aren't filled in yet. That should help ZGold with adding the information because I will already have the templates added. Is that plan ok with you ZGold That sounds good, rather than adding the pages though, just make sure the (red) page missing links are on the side/chain/character etc. pages - that way I can see at a glance what's missing
  20. Right, I know this quest is one that's come up in the quests thread, but I'm posting this here because it relates to putting accurate quest information on the wiki First (to get it out of my system), I would like to know who's responsible for this quest (the programmer/designer) and their current address so that I can go 'explain' to them how many headaches they've caused me (6...one for each character that's taken part in the information gathering below). Second, an overview of why this chain quest is such a ** pain... Protection Money is a two or three part chain quest, with your decisions influencing whether you get two parts or three parts...except, if you get two parts, you aren't getting any 'less' quest than if you get three parts, you're just getting it in two chunks rather than three. Everyone sufficiently confused now? So, today's research has shown (aside from the fact that it is possible to get a new dryad from her start location to Teardrop Hamlet and only gain 3 levels): * Light Character, Declining and Declining (Kills Ringleader, refuses to bribe Gardener) * Sapless potions: Received from merchant, talk to Rina, kill Racketeers, talk to Ringleader; decline (fail), talk to Ringleader * Renik the Priest: Automatically received after talking to Ringleader for second time, kill Ringleader, go to Renik’s house (success; Sapless potions now unmarked) * Renik’s End: Talk to Gardener; decline (Sapless potions now marked fail, Renik the Priest still marked success), talk to Gardener (receive quest), kill Renik, talk to merchant (01 fail, 02 success, 03 success) * Light Character, Declining and Accepting (Kills Ringleader, bribes Gardener) * Sapless potions: Received from merchant, talk to Rina, kill Racketeers, talk to Ringleader; decline (fail), talk to Ringleader * Renik the Priest: Automatically received after talking to Ringleader for second time, kill Ringleader, go to Renik’s house (success; Sapless potions now unmarked) * Renik’s End: Talk to Gardener; accept (Sapless potions now marked success, Renik the Priest still marked success), talk to Gardener (receive quest), kill Renik, talk to merchant (01 success, 02 success, 03 success) * Light Character, Accepting and Declining (Ringleader lives, refuses to bribe Gardener) * Sapless potions: Received from merchant, talk to Rina, kill Racketeers, talk to Ringleader; accept (no quest end update), talk to Ringleader, go to Renik’s house (no quest end update), talk to Gardener; decline (Sapless potions now marked fail) * Renik the Priest: (does not appear in logbook) * Renik’s End: Talk to Gardener (receive quest), kill Renik, talk to merchant (01 fail, 02 n/a, 03 success) * Light Character, Accepting and Accepting (Ringleader lives, bribes Gardener) * Sapless potions: Received from merchant, talk to Rina, kill Racketeers, talk to Ringleader; accept (no quest end update), talk to Ringleader, go to Renik’s house (no quest end update), talk to Gardener; accept (Sapless potions now marked success) * Renik the Priest: (does not appear in logbook) * Renik’s End: Talk to Gardener (receive quest), kill Renik, talk to merchant (01 success, 02 n/a, 03 success) Getting to the point (at long last), I would be grateful if someone with rather more time on their hands through the week than me (and probably more patience too), could check the same accept/decline combinations as above with a Shadow character (of any kind, with any deity, and in any SP mode - HC/bronze/silver/gold etc.) and post the results here. There is a logbook bug when you let the Ringleader live that puts the quest Renik's end at the bottom of the logbook (usually under Holdup), but aside from Renik sometimes failing to spawn or spawning under the terrain etc. that is the only bug that I'm aware of...unless you consider the 'sometimes missing' second quest a bug *shrugs* somehow it wouldn't surprise me if it was.
  21. Ty, ty all I believe there's work ongoing on Places, NPCs, the Bestiary, pretty much anywhere you can find something that isn't already mentioned in the wiki! @Ysne - you could always make a daily/per playing session dump of your character files to a memory stick, they're not that big...
  22. Think we're all insane? I don't know about anyone else, but I know we're all insane! But I agree, that person does have far too much time on their hands...a condition I believe is caused by too much sanity... I'll take crazy (and ninjas) any day! I'll take crazy too. I am plaing throught all character classes in Sacred 2 on the desktop and S1 I'm playing the Daemon, now in silver. I'll start filling quests in for S1 again as soon as I'm back at Silver Creek. My offer to double check stuff for you remains open ZGold. It's the main reason I'm working my way through Sacred 2 right now. I do remain hopeful that eventually there will be a release of the expansion in North America. I can't even find the expansion in the UK, so... *sighs* Yeah, I have *counts* eight or nine different characters at the moment, and that will jump to 14 or 15 when I get around to making a start on the class/blue chain quests we're currently missing info for... The plus side to that is when I have a slow-brain (or no-brain!) day I have plenty of other characters that can check things out. The first region is easy to get new characters around after all. I'll probably be looking for volunteers *cough*victims*cough* to double check me in the human region though, especially with the deity quests... Anyway! Added quest info for: * The Wolf Problem * Slaves... (The Escaped Slaves, Mutiny?) * The Slave-driver (The Escaped Slaves, Uncovered) * Servant Troubles * The Thief of Roses * Hungry Wolves I count 32 individual quests (I.e. single side quests + parts of chain quests) in Chapter 1 still without information on the Wiki (based on my own spreadsheet of quests, which could be wrong/out of date). The end of the High Elf region is nigh! And in other news, someone who knows the interactive map better and/or is working on the Places project needs to correct the location link for Blessed Rock Manor, as it's currently pointing at the Broken Lance Tavern... - DONE
  23. Think we're all insane? I don't know about anyone else, but I know we're all insane! But I agree, that person does have far too much time on their hands...a condition I believe is caused by too much sanity... I'll take crazy (and ninjas) any day!
  24. Excel and the sort function is my alphabetiser I'll put together a page for it sometime over the next week - in between questing! Added quest info for: * Commander Lothar (Deserters, Wet Graves, The Lich) * The Alchemist (Mana Stones, Ghost Energy) -- Alchemist Jacobas quest still needs all its details, but I'll do that when I move onto the Human region, if someone doesn't beat me to it! And just for gogo, . . . . .
