  1. ( I now see this posts belongs in the bugs/glitches thread, and I thought thats were I was posting it ... my bad ) ok this is a really weird situation and I havent found this problem anywhere so here goes... I beat the game on gold last night and I started a game in free world on platnium. well I thought it was weird but the intro video began playing... (mind you I did select free world) I really didnt think anything of it, but then I started in the shaddowy catacombs instead of the start island... I got that fixed buy messing around and teleporting to different places so now when I start the game in free world he begins at the start island ... no big deal right:) Well I started the game in campaign mode for platnium and I did NOT get the intro video and I started in the shaddow catacombs with no main quest to start! ... so I did what everyone would do I quit the game exited the game alltogether and started it again. I picked platnium campaign and started it again... I now saw the main quest line BUT I WAS INVISIBLE! no weapons seen no buffs seen (except when I put them on for the first time) and you couldnt even hear him teleport. the only thing I had to go buy was the mini map and the sound of him swinging his swords. I have tried quiting and telelporting and just abot everything I can think of. When I get on my mount he is visible. I have no idea whats going on, but I hate riding the mount and when I get to the seraphim islands I am going to be in trouble! or any cave for that matter .. someone please help a brother out! EDIT: So I never got this problem fixed despite thta I played with a few people online and had them run me through the campaign. When I got to niob, my SW was visible again! I went back and checked all other modes of play and it is only the platnium campaign where this problem exists. FREAKING weird
  2. Was this in the niobium difficulty? And so when you got 75 hard points in barganing you stopped? Do you get more of a bonus if you keep leveling barganing or does it just benifit you to make a really good suit?
  3. well I play the donkey balls out of this game as I am an addict! the hardest part for em is to pick a build I like and want to stick with. ive given up on the builds that take ep and barganing and went for 2 seperate characters for each. my elf is doing fine (for now) with barganing and ive started a seraphim for enhanced perception (wanted it to be the shaddow warrior but he has to pick something first and I just cant see wasting a skill on something I cant use). My pyro/shopper elf couldnt last verry ling in niobium with the skills that ive picked I dont belive so I only want her there for shopping and forging. I've run into the money problem as their isnt a way for me to trnsfer the money from other characters and my chest is full of stuff I want to use. Either that or I end up just giving it away becasue I have duplicates of it. But now im getting off topic sooo back to it... If I do indeed have a sole character for EP will that matter to much for my other characters? Or am I just wasting my time
  4. WOW that is scary that I would assume that someone is really attempting to reach 30000+ soft bargaining points!SO basically it is best to get to niobium with a shoper then STOP leveling...right? I have also been acumulating a few tests of my own (well they probably have been done already but, hey thats the fun part) Ill take a lower level character and fill his/her suit with the highest plus all skills I can find with my shopper and then his/her barganing is 4 times better at that level than mine was with my orginal shopper, so forth and so forth. Like growing exponentially. How in the world are people finding all these plus 13 and plus 14 all skills jewlery:) Are they using that method I described? if not let me know how to get those bad boys!
  5. thank you for answering my second question , now for the first would that mess up my barganing yeild?
  6. MY HE is level 73 and has a suit for +xp/damage and a suit for barganing. The suit for barganing gives her arounf 280 barganing. My questiion is: if I go out and wear my xp/damage suit and level up and go sell all my items with that suit on does that hurt my barganing yeild? The only reason im asking is becasue I noticed the other day that when I went shopping for an hour with my bargaining suit on I started to notice that the quality of the rares in the shops was slightly lower than normal. I still could find +6 all skills but they were few and far between. And now when im searching merchants and ruin masters for stuff I see a few regular where as before I only saw mostly rares and 1 star items (magic or whatever the class is) I see posts everywhere about people talking about they only find rares at shops or mostly rares. My second question is how high do I need to get her barganing so that I only see rares or about 90% rares?
  7. I dont have an exact answer for you, but I do have some experience with the high elf. My HE is at level 64 and her regen time for the fireball is at 0.2 and the rest of the tree is at 0.6. She does plenty of damage; they are just so low becasue I have about 85+all skills. I have read tons of ruins and they are still low. As for the amount of ruins you should read, everyone is right. It is totally up to you and your toon. Everyone plays different. I like low regen times so I keep tons of +all skills in my armor and weapons and find other ways to raise the damage. I try and find +all combat arts to put on when I go fight bosses or every once in a while now ill read a ruin. Its all about balance and how you like to play. And you shouldn't worry aout the exact number of ruins your read just the benifits and the consequences of what reading the next on will be
  8. OK... I have to pick the last skill for her and I cant decide between Shield Lore and Combat Discipline. She's hurting in gold at level 64 near the jungle but I dont know if thats becasue she only has 8600+ HP (probably), but never the less I'm at an impass here. If I take SL ill porbably survive a bit better since I have the stalinworth (or whatever) at level 75 If I take CD ill probably mow people down alot quicker. I guess what I need to know before I pick either of them is how much will each of them increase my stats. I do have about 85+all skills on so whichever I chose will increase either subsantionaly. My fireballs: 0.2 regen/1200 damage Temptest: 0.6 regen/500 and 800 per second burn Shower: 0.6regen/1756 damage How much would they increase if I chose CD since it will be at 86? Now sheild lore, this would be the first time I picked it so im not sure how much it would benifit me or even where I could find out. SO if anyone can shed a little light on this matter I would apprciate it.
  9. ok well I did get the all skills ring from the benny person in the swamp, a few pieces of hero armor (sucked), a hammer "Stradal's Hammer", and some weird potions that said (power up) next to them...what does that mean?
  10. so I finnaly finished this quest and LONG is an understatement! I do have a question about the items I got as a reward, but I dont want to post them here becasue I dont know how to edit the title to say spoilers so could someone pm that way I can ask?
  11. I've never heard of the mount trick, but it worked ... thank you very much
  12. There is a girl in the dryad relm thats supposed to be in a tower next to a merchant... Well in my game she is directly below that position on a freaking ROCK! I cant jump to here I can be right next to her on a mount and it wont let me talk to her. there are 2 other characters there but they are of no importance (not merchants or anything) so I've quit the teleported and came back shes still on the rock .. ive quit the game and shes still on the rock! I dont wanna attempt to finish this quest if she is just gonna be stuck all the time, im really glad I found out before I had almost all of em found!
  13. wow you have been a huge help. I cant tell you how much I appriciate all your help and time you've spent answering my questions. I'll probably be posting for other stuff as I have 4 or 5 characters and I still have alot to learn. One more thing before I stop bugging you (for now ) I have yet to see damage mitigation armor in the shops with my HE shopper or drops from my SW... is their a specific place I can find it or do I have to just keep shopping around and looking for drops?
  14. That seems easy enough to grasp I wonder why no one explains it like that .. basicall mitigation meaning doesnt hurt you... then comes off your armor ... then comes off your hp. Got it. I see now why everyone in higher difficulties is talking about having diferent suits to fight different types of monters. one with 80% physical mitigation the others with magic and so forth. That or their so afraid to get hit they look for tons of deathblow stuff and life leach and try to kill them first. (ide hate to see them in a room full of those fire fen things on niob! their hard enough to hit period let alone trying to kill them first!) so now I should be looking for armor with damage mitigation? and as far as I have seen I should neglect sets becasue I havent seen any with that damage mitigation I have seen tons of amulets and rings that have all types of damage -XX% ... does that factor in there somewhere also?
  15. I hear about damage mtigation alot and I dont think I fully understand what it actually is... EDIT: WOW I had no idea that combat discipline would extend my damage that much. I suppose I totally forgot about the +70 allskills
  16. Well I guess it will be time to pick it as ive reached 65 this morning...its so set in stone after this lol. No turning back. I belive I have already modded out reflective emanation, but I supose it should still be ok. I never really intended on using the skelies, but I guess since I picked constitution for help with regen I might as well take advatage of it. Grim resiliance: Fortify--discipline--safegaurd Reflective Emanation: Tough--Unstopable--Riposte My regen times are fantastic for him: demonic blow is at 0.7 as well as the rest of that skill tree and doing around 2500 damage. I have been taking it a little slow in gold to get to level 75 so I can master the skills I need to be mastered. Along with constitution and concentration, what else do you think should be at mastery by level 75?
  17. MY SW is level 62 skills as follows Tactics Lore 62 (138) AL Focus 9 (81) Armor Lore 23 (81) Dual Wield 42 (103) Concentration 14 (77) DW Focus 16 (74) Constitution 60 (121) Toughness 2 (60) MC Focus 2 (60) I am uncertian what to do about the last skill. I want to be able to play in niob so I dont wanna through it away on somthing foolish if it wasn't necessary. Ive contemplated: Combat Discipline Combat Reflexes Enhanced Perception (with 50% of the map explored and a SB of 89% this would be great ,Until I die! ) Astral Lore (dont even use it really that much other than to slap em with the hand to get there atention and mabe us the skell's at 75 concentration) Anyone tryed something like this and succeeded?
  18. III-Perfect-III I have a chest full of unique weapons (levels 20-75), about 500 ruins, lots of seraphim set armor (levels 1-40. ALWAYS looking for trades Currently searching for slotted swords and shields levels 60-80) Someone help me clean it out! Level 66 seraphim Level 51 HE pyro shopper (dark) Level 61 Shaddow warrior (dark) Level 35 TG Devout gaurdian/shopper (dark) Level 41 Inquisitor DW Astute
  19. Well well well, it would appear that I was a little premature to be complaining about my HE. I spent a couple of hours shopping around like was suggested, however, I didnt find as many +fire dammage with +all skills in them. I did find quite a bit of +5all skills and +4... kinda started becasue I was so angry for not being able to find the stupid light sabers everyone is so desperate to find... during my search I kept coming across more and more +all skills so I really couldnt complain. Since my previous post ive bumped up my +57 all skills to about +67 (and found four light sabers with 3 slots in each ) well my damage almost tripled with the increase of the all skills!! I was so excited I almost pee'd my pants. not really but ya know. I have 2 more questions though A. Do Uniques for armor ever show up in the shops? my baragning is almost 3 times my level and I havent seen hardly any 3 star armor peices B. I understand that SB must = MR right? If so now that the % has dropped will it be more difficult to find set armor? And in saying that ive noticed when I start a MP game when there are different characters in the game I find their crap in the shops and drops. Does there SB and EP play a roll in the drops I get as well? Thank you all for the reply's; been really helpful
  20. "niob damage forge" ok that doesnt ring a bell <----and thats sad casue if I had to guess I would assume something with the niobium difficulty but the rest no clue I have tryed to add to fire damage when I can, its just really difficult to find specific things and here lately it seems all becasue I died once its getting extremely difficult to find rares at all
  21. Thank you gogo ... I see your post quite a bit. MOst of the time I find my answers from your posts. Hope someone responds soon or ill be forced to go back to my shaddow warrior not that theirs anything wrong with him I just need to farm for all skills and better weaponry with my elf. And shes strugeling to stay alive
  22. So I belive I put this in the wrong post becasue it was moved on me (sorry). And by the way I really do enjoy this site and coming here for help..decided to join up finally I have a high elf that is level 51 HE and her barganing is at 132 (with +57 all skills and a few general skills) she was finding good stuff at the shops until recently... I was doing the orc cave and all of the sudden all four of the orcs hit me with about 1100 damage twice at the same time so I couldnt get my potions drank in time. She did havea survival bonus of about 89% now she has 22%. My question is: what affect does the suvival bonus have on your character in regaurds to drops and things you find at shops? Also, it would seem that everytime I put more all skill stuff on (like adding to the +57) her combat arts drop in damage. now I have not eaten but one ruin in each combat art, becasue I was under the impresion that it was not needed until much higher levels (so most of the build guids suggest). Her regen times are great (0.1 for fireball and 0.3 for the rest off the tree) so she can make up for damage by casting them so fast. I dont wanna eat ruins in fear of changing armor and lossing my regen times. so what I'm getting at is, is there a way to raise my combat art damage with out sacrificing regen times too much becase I love to cast about 6 temtest waves all over the screen and mow mobs down. it would seem that now in gold it is not enough and I KNOW in platnium and beyond it WILL NOT be enough... Help is much appriciated! EDIT: (AND I think I put it in the wrong place once again -- Please forgive the noob )
