  1. Well Genenut and I are enjoying this game, we find it a nice diversion after a long and stressful day at work.
  2. It must have gotten you a great moment from your Dad when you gave it to him. gogo[/color] Actually it gave me two great moments with him. Just over two years ago he came down with Viral encephalitis. It attacked the speech and memory centers of his brain. He is having a wonderful recovery and only doesn't remember six months of his life (six months that he doesn't want to remember). And his speech is back to where it was before he got ill. But during his recovery I got to give it to him again and it was a second first time for him to read it.
  3. Gordon Lightfoot --- Blackberry Wine " It's a sin to be sober to long ..."
  4. Yes Quaker Does .... Quaker Grits instant too.
  5. I'm not sure if that's a spider, yes it has eight legs, but it appears to only have two eyes and it has antenna. and because of the shape of it's carapace it looks like a beetle to me.
  6. Genenut and I own movies that we have enjoyed on the big screen and on the boob tube. there have been times we have pulled out a film that we own that is in the tv line up to watch at the same time just to watch it unedited and without commercials. And we will pull them out just to have an at home movie marathon from time to time.
  7. I just tried this Dundee honey brown lager and I finally have found a beer that I like. I'm going to have to try the other brews that they make. They are out of Rochester New York.
  8. Hello Bond Bug, Was doing a search for another of your threads to do a post and came across this site Brew Your own and was wondering what your opinion of it might be as a source? It appears to have a ton of information, including recipes.
  9. A rub is usually a blend of dry herbs and spices that are rubbed over the meat before grilling. Normally you would also apply the rub a few hours before it hits the grill.
  10. Oh My God, Relative of US coach killed I n China . This is a news story I just read, Has anyone else seen it?
  11. Hey Tomi, Mom and I are watching the opening right now, and are loving it. We have been impressed by the simple beauty and elegance. We love seeing a little of these other nations and their cultures. And these are almost the only sports I watch. I loved living in Japan and watching the Olympics when it was there, we recorded the whole thing. We enjoyed the difference in the broadcast between here and there. Here in the states, even when we were hosting we still had commercials during the opening ceremonies and when watching it in Japan there were no commercials. Did anyone else have commercials or did you get to see it uninterrupted?
  12. This is one I wrote for Mom/Genenut while out to sea. My Spring Rose With each day that passes, that special place you have in my heart aches for you. The touch of your hand will be like the soft caress of a spring breeze when I feel it once again. The smell of your hair will be like the perfume of the flowers that ride upon that gentle wind when I smell it once again. Having your arms around me will be like lying in a bed of spring flowers when you hold me once again. And your lips when you kiss me will be like kissing the soft petals of a rose in full bloom when our lips meet once again. The distance between us whenever we are apart is not unlike the first frost of winter that sends the flowers in the garden of my heart into that deep winter sleep. All the flowers sleep, all but one, the spring rose in the center of my garden, it is kept warm by my love. It's bloom is beautiful, and eternal. Never fading always growing, becoming more beautiful with each passing day. Just the thought of my rose brings a smile to my heart, while the sight of my rose fills my soul with love and joy. That love I feel I give back to my spring rose, one hundred times over, to tend it, to keep it safe, and to help it grow. You are the spring rose that grows in the center of the garden of my heart that my love tends to every day. © Todd R James 1994 - all rights reserved.
  13. Here is a poem I wrote and gave to my Dad. It has even more meaning to me now. To My Dad His smile a ray of sunshine, his voice a song of joy, a source of gentle guidance for a treasured girl or boy. His Back can be a strong and noble steed his arms a source of comfort in a time of need. He can be a teacher of many, many things of camping, fishing, and how to tie shoe strings. But most important of all mine taught me through it all, that of all men, A dad can be a friend. © Todd R James 1998 - all rights reserved.
  14. Rain, for six or seven days in a row. Our area has been in a flood watch for the last three days. I'm glad we live in a condo on the second floor.
