I was onboard ship at one time in a situation where I was able to set my own hours. It seemed like I needed at least 6 hours sleep in every 35. I know there were some who thought I never slept!

Not to mention all that methane gas. Of course, the earth has now entered a period of global cooling, so perhaps the extra methane will help warm things up a bit.

I quickly learned to simply stab it with a fork and gnaw off a hunk. I still use that tactic when I'm alone.

I broke mine once and just couldn't keep as still as the doctor wanted me to while it was healing. I have a big knot where the bones knit out of true. It doesn't hurt but it's a weird feeling when I think about it.
At the time I was due to go out on a workup for a deployment and everyone in the squadron swore I did it to get out of workups.

We used to own a Time-Share Condo which was right on the water in Ocean City, Maryland. It was on the bay side but it still got a lot of wind and water during storms.
We've been to Rehoboth Beach and it's a pretty area.

Since this is my first post in here, I guess this is an as appropriate place as any. I have tried to use "Spock" or some derivative since 1966-67. STTOS was just out and I was on an Aircraft Carrier in the Gulf of Tonkin. I had just learned my Grandmother had died, I found out the girl I had thought I was going to marry because she had had a baby had gotten pregnant from someone else, I had also just learned a friend of mine from the previous cruise had died in-country. A lot of the planes we were sending in on strikes weren't coming back and I just felt totally down. I was standing on the fantail looking out at the phosphorescent wake of the carrier thinking how peaceful it looked and how I wouldn't have to worry about any more problems if I just ended it all right then.
For some reason I thought of this new SciFi show that was even now just being shown onboard and one particular character. Once I thought to myself, "What would Spock do?" nothing was ever the same again. Since, I have tried to run my life with as much logic and dispassion as Spock. I haven't always succeeded but it is always in the back of my mind ... using the character name as a Username helps remind me of my origins.

Hmm. I tried to resize my current avatar to expand it to 120px but the width is wrong. It should be 77 px, not 120 ... is there anyone here who can fix that?

No, They use the Columbus Method, you know, find a key and land on it!
Yo need to be careful. If you move at all it will shift your clavicle and it will not fuse properly. Take your thumbs and put them side-by-side so you can see the thumbnails. That is how my clavicle fused because I couldn't keep from moving it. It doesn't hurt but it sure feels weird.
