  1. Heya,

got both in a combo and both at level 150-160 ish... dont know for sure.

DA lasts longer, DP must be around 45 or so. I will check again in a few minutes, so I can be sure :bounce:

DP does not stack, nor will WE regen when DP is cast... WE is then down and needs to be reactivated

    Greetz

Thanks, do you remember at what level duration exceeded cooldown? Was it 34ish like wiki says for DP?

  2. The reason I wanted to put it in was because there are sooo many combos that are nice with this build (see above) and reducing the regen time would be nice. Agreed that big shields are very good. For warding energy, I'm thinking Field Force, Magic Mirror, Dunno. I read that DP blocks CAs rather than reflecting. Does magic mirror actually reflect and if you cast DP on top of it will that reduce your chance of reflecting?

  3. I always use this CA with beginning seraphims. It allows you to not need health potions at the beginning of the game which is nice. On console, you have unlimited potions which take up no space.

On PC, you might not need to carry so many potions if you use this ca freeing up more space.

  4. Anyone know the duration of divine protection around level 50? 100? 200?

Dashing alacrity appears to be 45-50 seconds according to wiki. I wonder if DP is the same.

If the warding energy lore shield goes down and you stay in combat and cast divine protection, will the warding energy shield really start regenerating as it will not be taking hits?

Saw this in kaballah's guide "Versus many bosses, it (warding energy) will still be reduced to zero and stop mitigating damage; in that case, you can either kite the boss for a few seconds and let your shields recharge, or just cast Divine Protection."

Do multiple castings of divine protection stack? is divine protection "nerfed" in console versions?

I know it got a nerf in pc versions but don't know if that nerf got to console. Anyone know at what level it becomes chain castable with the extend duration and reduce cooldown mods on console? Wiki says level 34.2 but I don't know if this is still applicable.

  5. Just saw the topic where you actually got a seraphim to 100% mitigation and it looks like it was done around level 144 and required a high level seraphim shopper, which I don't have. This is making my all out mitigation idea to beat niob at level 75 seem not so good. On the fence about what skill to drop for combat discipline between toughness & constitution or maybe I just leave combat discipline out.

If your shield never goes down you probably don't need constitution but it might well go down in niob at some point. I'll let you know how it goes.

  6. I redid my BFG character following this guideline and its rocking at level 20.

The white griffon is a bit slow to go down but kobold cheif is very quick. I found that a good way to level up to 20 is to repeatedly do the kobold chieftan quest in silver and make sure you do that cave at the entrance to the kobold layer thats got tons of kobolds. Chance for good drops form boss & quest reward.

    Skills so far:

    Concentration

    Armor lore

    Ranged Weapons

    Tactics Lore

    Revered Focus

... so far so good. Found a regen per hit ring and its really helping at low levels.

Slot 1 = Using divine protection and dashing alacrity in a combo and

Slot 2 = soul hammer + pelting strikes in a combo, works great. Normal attacks while the Warrior combo is recharging.

    Slot 3 = Flaring nova + Archangel's wrath.

Solt 4 = Hallowed restoration to conserve health pots.

Read 2 runes in battle stance and 3 in BFG. Dobri, How many runes did you end up reading in both of these skills at levels 30, 50, 75?

Modded bfg for more damage, don't know about penetrate or accuracy... If I will not have any problems hitting penetrate would be better but maybe I will have problems hitting? True its rare for the mobs to be lined up like ducks but it definately does happen especially in caves and I think the BFG range is quite far so it might hit things off screen?

I think combat discipline would add a lot to this build by reducing combo regen times and upping damage for both warrior and revered Combat Arts.

Is constitution the proper defensive skill to drop?

This would leave us with: Toughness, Armor, Warding Lore for defense.

I want to try to beat niob at level 75 I think this build can do it.

If I drop constitution should I put all points in vitality?

  7. Thanks ansgar. What's your tg build, are you using lost fusion or DG only. What level did you finish niob? Good to know the mods don't work in passive mode.

How do you recommend modding battle extension and/or dedicated blow and which one is more useful?

For the silver mod, zinsho said something like that there are 2 types of shield regen: the amount you get from the silver mod which is the only type that works in combat and your basic shield regen which only works out of combat but never works in combat even if you have the shield regen in combat mod. He seemed to recommend the mitigation silver mod because the amount of shield regen you can get in combat is so low and the other type of shield regen which is much higher does not work in combat. That's kinda hard to get my head around but I think that's how I understood it. If that's right the mitigation silver mod would be better especially with toughness.

The reason I considered toughness over constitution was that from what I read, 100% mitigation seems to be relatively easy to obtain with the TG as long as you have armor and toughness and Warding lore? If 100% mitigation cannot be obtained easily, perhaps more health is better. I dunno.

  8. Equip ice relics vs the mist boss. He can weaken you if you stand in the mist so try to stay out of it and just kill the skellies. Weaken = reduction of your max hp which makes it easier for him to kill you with those big hits he does when you stand in the mist sometimes. Make sure to equip plenty of poison relics vs the last guardian and lots of magic and ice relics when going through the great machine to handle the temple guardian fire traps (which do magic damage, not fire damage) and those blue balls that do ice damage.

  9. Hi Guys,

    Playing on X360.

I thought the boss killer TG build looked quite cool but I wonder about which mods to pick on some CAs as this is my first experience with TG and energy shields and I have no idea. I want to try to beat niob at the earliest level possible because that is fun to me.

What's the deal with the battle extension and DB Mods and this active slot stuff? For example, if I choose hydraulics and efficiency, will they increase my weapon damage and reduce regen for all cas when battle extension is in the active slot?

    How to mod T-energy shroud?

Bronze: Damage or more shield - the question is if I have enough mitigation, perhaps I won't need the extra shield?

Silver: Regen in combat or dampening - I heard regen in combat does not regen very much. The use I see is if the shield goes down, it could reactivate the buff = damage and weaken chance - without me having to recast it:) Which is the better choice here? Is dampening really all channel damage mitigation or something else?

Gold: More shield will block more all around damage - the last guardian doesn't have that many "spells" (maybe)? - but if I get my mitigation high enough I won't need the extra shield values and reflecting back to monsters will help me kill them faster? I might have a hard time getting to 100% Mitigation if I don't use modded jolting touch in this build?

I'm thinking Force, Dampen, Reflection or Force

    Combat Alert: Assault, Riposte

Dedicated blow: Bedazzle (?), confident, enforce. I'm thinking that if I have one weapon per damage type and I know what bosses/areas are least resistant to what elements, transformation would be a waste?

    Deathly Spears:Batter, Singe, Jab

    Fiery Ember: Incinerate, Churn, Sustain

    Primal mutation: Theurgy, helpless, helpless

Charged Grid: Havoc, Unnatural selection, Longevity

Here are the skills I'm thinking of:

    Tactics

    Armor

    Devout Focus

    Fusion Focus

    Warding Energy lore

Sword Lore (for hit chance and combo execution speed)

    Combat Discipline

    Concentration

    Toughness

Last choice is tough: Fusion Lore, Constitution, or maybe take both and drop concentration

    I want 11 skills, help :).

Combos I would use would be:

    - Fiery Ember, Charged Grid (combo to reduce regen and add execution speed)

    - Deathly Spears (in a combo to reduce regen)

    - Combat alert by itself or Combat Alert/Primal mutation for bosses

    - Dedicated blow (in a combo to reduce regen)

    Mount: Shield regen mount?

Plan to have it setup like this:

Just t-shroud initially, Keep combat alert as a castable unless regen times get really low later then consider making it a buff

  10. Hey Knuckles, first here is the link to download the full version of warbreaker for free : http://www.brandonsanderson.com/drafts/war...over_1st_ed.pdf

Here's the information about how to order a signed/numbered copy of the gathering storm.

Read Item #4 on this page: http://brandonsanderson.com/article/57/THE...-Release-Events!

The page is somewhat long so scroll down to item number 4.

The bookstore that is selling them doesn't have a website so you have to call them or email to place the order.

He will even personalize the signature for you :sigh:.

Edit: the last date to get a personnalized copy is Oct 19th: http://www.brandonsanderson.com/blog/832/M...c-Table-Updates

You can still order signed/numbered copies after that but they won't be personnalized after that.

  11. A mention on brandon sanderson: His books are very good too. I read elantris and mistborn and liked both very much. He even has his latest released hardcover, warbreaker available for free download on his website as a way to incite people to discover his writing and hopefully buy that book or other books of his, which I think is great. Personally, I will wait for the paperback of warbreaker to come out before buying it. I read some of it online and found it very good but reading online is much less comfortable than buying the book and reading it in that format.

He is also working on a new series of which the first book will be called way of kings that has a cool concept.

I think he will do a great job with wheel of time and I ordered a signed/numbered copy of the gathering storm.

  12. Hey, great guide. What's the lowest level you think its possible to beat niob with this build? My goal is always to beat the last boss at the lowest level possible and have very fast mob killing.

I would use toughness instead of combat reflexes.

I wonder if its a good idea to drop one of the following defensive skills for Source Warden lore which would boost your ember, untouchable force damage, etc.... which seems to be what you're using for a lot of the mob killing:

    - Warding Energy Lore, Toughness, Constitution

Obviously the other 7 skills stay.

What do you think about this? Which skill to drop for source warden lore or should I just leave it out and take the 3 above defensive skills?

  13. Just finished re-reading the wheel of time Books 1-11. One of the best fantasy series ever.

Waiting for book 12/14 to come out. Frustrated that they released chapter 1 and 2 free and the prologue (100+ pages) was also released early but it costs 3 dollars to download and I don't want to pay for this content twice so I'll just have to wait for the book to come out around october 27th. Don't want to read the first 2 chapters before the prologue.

If you've never read this series, its great.
