  1. I would not leave out shield lore. Its quite helpful. I suggest dropping combat discipline or delphic lore for it depending on what exactly you want to do. In hardcore especially the extra defense would be welcome. I fully agree with the usefulness of ice focus for modding cascading shroud and ice skin for certain situations.

  2. Gogo, was your test on twisted torment on ice & blood or not?

    I wouldn't really know how to test this actually since with my blazing tempest stuff goes down so fast anyways.... I guess I always assumed that because deathblow works with spells, it also worked with the burning damage on Blazing Tempest. It did not occur to me that it might not.

  3. Was wondering if the bonuses to "attack and defense" would stack with the attack bonus from duel wield or if I would be leveling this skill strictly for the run bonus. Anyone have any ideas on the pros and cons of adding speed lore as a final skill?

    Soldats on speedlore: "02. speed lore- increases run speed, attack and defense values by %. mastery unlocks include a 9% bonus to run speed and 135% bonus to atk/def values. 9% at mastery is a joke and a travesty in my eyes. at level 5, you can shop for gear[without bargaining, even] with run speed in the 10%'s in silver. at level 200 gear, you can find run speed in the 30%'s. seeing as how run speed is capped at 150% in generally most situations, choosing this skill for something that can be replaced by gear THREEFOLD is saddening. the atk/def value only benefits weapon based characters, leaving spell casters to benefit from def value only. chance to evade eclipses the bonus def value provides."

    What build are you considering? There is probably a better choice than speedlore available to you.

  4. Congratulations, that's great! I like Elliott a lot. References to Elliott in pop culture include Eliot Ness, Kevin Costner's character in the movie "The untouchables" and Pete's dragon (remember that disney movie?) who was named Elliott.

    Alexander is a good name but its somewhat long so you and/or his friends may end up calling him alex. The other names are one or two syllables so they probably won't get shortened. I have a 3-syllable name also and people ended up just calling me by my last name because my first was too long for them apparently.

    Let us know which one you pick.

  5. Registration has been disabled by the administrator.

    too bad they're not using the old site. Its very good! The new site is ugly at the moment, they'll probably do something about that (I hope so). The old site was also well organized and had a lot of good information. If they split the sites, they'll probably eventually close the old one. Good thing we have independent dark matters forum.

  6. :thumbsup:

    What about diminishing on socketing attack speed via jewelry...is there dminishing on it, has anyont tested?

    :)

    gogo

    Good thing to test. I'd like to see how high the attack speed bonuses can get at max levels from jewelry/items too.

    Another good thing to test is if there is diminishing returns on attack speed from use of several sources of increase.

    Ex: if you have jewelry 5%, Combat Art 10% and weapon 10% does that make +25%?

    Added weapon types to the uniques on that page except the ones I couldn't figure out.

    Added the combat arts that can effect attack speed.

  7. High spell resistance/spell banishing/Combat Art reflect/CAblock should stop the griffin from debuffing you. There arent too many monsters that do it so its not so much of a worry in PVE. Griffin and harpy queen I think? PVP is another story entirely because almost all elves are Explusle-magic-happy because its so uber :thumbsup:.

  8. I took out CD from the wiki BFG page as I agree that's probably not correct. CD would increase damage of Combat Arts, not normal attacks following buffs.

    Yes, goal is to beat niob at lowest level possible. Its just for fun to add an extra challenge because I think the BFG seraphim is the character that can do it at lowest level possible.

    I'll think more about live thanks for the offer anyways :tease:.

  9. I have not seen any posts about voltage not working on the PC version. If something works correctly on Xbox, it is generally safe to assume that it works correctly on PC since PCs have later patches. I think he recommends the healing mod in his guide.

  10. I updated that page gogo.

    Thanks for the info Sarcolemming, could you do the same tests with the following if you have some time?

    * Halberds

    * Javelins

    * Poles

    * Mage Staves

    * 2H mage staves

    That's all thats missing from the table now.

    My guess is that 2H polearms and 2H mage staves will be about the same speed as 2H axes/swords but I could be wrong.

    I was surprised that clubs are faster than axes which are faster than hammers.

  11. Thanks, I'll try to do the test with revered lore if I get a chance this week.

    By the way, there's something in the wiki that seems off for BeeEffGee: "Combat Discipline will directly raise it's damage."

    I think that CD would raise the damage of BFG only if the weapon is used in a combat art but it should not effect the damage of the BFG when used as a regular attack, correct?

  12. Yes that seems to be true. These speeds are also modified by mounts.

    What post were you referring to antitrust? do you think that if 2 different classes have the same weapon and the same attack speed, they will or will not hit with the same speed? If there is a difference between speed of Shadow Warrior and seraphim swinging a sword at 100% attack speed for example this would be interesting to put on wiki.

    Also would be interesting to put on wiki the effect of sitting on a mount on attack speed.

  13. I think this is a great site and really the ads don't bother me, we're pretty used to seeing ads online. There may come a time when there will be less traffic for these sites & we would like to keep them going as long as possible, so now while we've got so many page views, I think we should put more ads in (especially if its pay per page view? or pay per month?) which would allow us to save for later and keep the site going.

  14. I updated the wiki page for BeeEffGee recently, take a look and feel free to add/change: http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:BeeEffGee

    Can you confirm whether revered lore really increases the damage for BFG? Its not listed currently as something that effects it. What is listed is:

    * Revered Technology Focus will lower it's regeneration time

    * Tactics Lore will raise damage of BeeEffGee

    * Ranged Weapons increases chance to hit & rate of fire. BeeEffGee comes with a native bonus to Ranged Weapons skill.

    * Combat Discipline will directly raise it's damage.

    I suppose we should add:

    * Dexterity will increase hit chance and damage?

    * Revered lore will increase damage?

    * Stamina reduces regen penalty?

    By the way, I don't understand what the "native bonus to ranged weapons skill" is? I assume this requires you to actually have the ranged weapons skill to unlock?
