Could you please tell me which version cm-disable reverts to. The installer tells that the result would be 2.65.1, yet it was installed on 2.65.2 and the game thinks it's 2.65.2 now. Which one is correct?
Its a kind of spelling mistake in the current patcher. It reverts back to whatever version you had before. It reads "2.65.x" in the coming releases.

Your MD5 Hash is completely wrong and does not match any previous version.
The Patchlog clearly states that 2.65.2 installed correctly on 16.12.2010. The MD5 hash in there proves it did.
Someone or Something changed your executable thereafter.

my computer's being stupid again.
I completely de-installed the game, and then installed it again.
but that, the 2.40 patch says it can't locate the game on the computer, and that I should re-install it, but that doesn't seem to work.
anyone know whaty's wrong now?
Keep in Mind, that there are two 2.40 Patches. One is for patching v2.34->v2.40 and the other is for v2.0.2->v2.40. The latter one being about 1GB in size and the first about 200MB.
Select the correct one for your currently installed version.

According to the patchlog everything is fine, your game was successfully patched to 2.65.2.
Are you using the crashfix from Prinz v.H.?

Seems there is sth. wrong with the exe and this happened between 16.12. and 26.12.
Maybe the largeaddressaware-flag fix has been set for useage of bigger memory or sth. else.

Hehe. Don't worry. Those are the famous mutation Sets. We have been onto those for about half a year, and they will be included in the next release.
The blueprint numbers are different for Ice and Blood by the way.

They are invisible in russian version for some unknown reason. I tried various filters but server list is either empty or lists only russian ones.
That is because you probably use the east-european lobby for connection to closed net. You can change it to the european one with a optionsCustom.txt entry, but then you have to create a new account there of course. You can play with all the dudes from this forum there then.
The actual reason behind this post is that I wanted to ask you whether or not you encountered one problem. Minimap settings (at least its size) are reset to default when you quit to the main menu. In 2.43 all settings vere reset. In 2.65.2 with community patch the scale seems to be saved, yet its size still resets every time you enter the game. That fact is definitely true to the russian version since all the people I know encountered this problem. I'm not sure about other versions though. It is proven that due to the bad localisation russian version has more bugs than all the others. Well, russian version was issued long before the european one. In fact our publishers translated a half-baked version. It still echoes sometimes.
The minimap settings somehow do not get saved in the optionsCustom.txt. Put these in there and set the numbers to your liking:
options.map_mini_curv = 3.33333
options.map_mini_icon = 0.8
options.map_mini_rot = 1
options.map_mini_size = 8
options.map_mini_transp = 1
options.map_mini_zoom = 0.2

It really a work of art. Out of curiosity, Czevak, do you know how long it takes Dimitrius to put work together like this? Is he planning on creating any more?

Agreed. I don't know how long it took him to do this, but I know the amount of work that goes into sth. like that since I do a bit of this meself. I would reckon about two to four weeks if you don't push excessively and workflow allows for a bit of casual life.
Of course you could do it in one day if you work day and night and have no respect for your health.
I definitely know there are some bits more to come yet, having asked him to do a bit here and there and he has agreed to do it.
Btw: Did the thread starter merit a one way ticket out of the forum, or why is he "John Doe" all of a sudden? (Just curious.)

@Silver_fox: Minor translation fixes are also a part of our (and I guess in the future also your) To-Do-List.
The versions 2.65.1 and 2.65.2 are both able to connect to an 2.65.1 Closed Net server. Seems to me like your russian servers are still running on 2.64.

Nope, nothing.
Only ever play on closed so have never edited anything. I hope a fresh install is not the only answer to this.
Just to clarify, does the version actually show up as 2.65.2 when you run Sacred 2 in win7?
Yes it does.
Have you modded the sacred2.exe for Largeaddressawareness (Memory 4GB Patch), by any chance?
You can also check up if all your Sacred 2 registry keys are present and correct.

By the way, does anyone know the way to return to 2.64 from 2.65.1 other then reinstalling? Those lasy creatures still haven't applied 2.65.1 to russian closed net servers. I suppose they never would.
Sorry, no. I think it is possible to have another paralell installation somehow, but I am a bit unsure about the specifics that would entail...

Hi everyone, I started playing sacred 2 now and are using the cm-patch v0100, my question is about the lightsabers. Here in the topic is said that now the lightsabers are willpower based, this means that to increase de damage and accuracy of the atacks I have to spend my points in willpower:) If I also use the lightsabers mod, the one that replace the skins of some swords of the game so they look like lightsabers, in this case, the attribute that increase the damage and accuracy of the attacks,of this replaced skins swords, will be strenght right:)

Congratulations for the excellent work.
Depends on how the replacement is done. If it just sets the existing lightsaber itemtypes as itemtype for the swords to be replaced, then it remains willpower. If the mod actually contains renamed GR2 models to replace the models of the swords then they are strength.
I would expect the first case, though.

Just wanted to thank you for all the interesting things you are doing. Tried the patch on my version. Unlike one of the previos commenters I had no problems with it. All the features I checked so far worked perfectly. The only thing that looked strange is that the Captain in Thylysium was an elf again. Wasn't he supposed to be a kobold?
The only thing I don't understand so far is that whether or not russian translation is available. I would be happy to help you with translation if needed. Just tell me and it'd be finished soon. Unlike my english, my russian is quite good. I downloaded text archives and was surprised to see half the lines translated while others being in english.
P.S. Sorry for my crappy english. I'm good with reading english texts but sadly not with writing. Feel free to correct me.
Actually we need someone to translate the CM-Content to russian, that is why some lines are still english right now.

I've used what you call an axe for wood chopping
I'm not sure if it's the best tool for it, but we used a neat trick which involves driving the blade into a log, and then hit the stuck axe-head onto a wooden surface in an upside-down motion. The log basically chops itself, and it doesn't matter if the axe is too light
Just what I wanted to add. I prefer this method to hammer and splitter when the woodchops are max. 25cm in diameter. You get a nice workout swinging the log with the axe overhead onto the block.
You have to be sure it is really stuck for good, or you can get a headache... XD

Are the new SW armor pieces implemented?
Sorry Furian, no new sets for SW so far. We gave priority to Highelve and Seraphim this time, since SW already got two new sets with previous releases.
The new pieces by dimitrius are on the to-do List for v0110. There is some adjusting necessary to make them separate new items instead of modded versions replacing existing ones.

do you or anyone else know which Combat Arts in game have this as a mod we can choose to modify Combat Arts with? I know it's there for Darting Assault and Ice Shards...is there any others?

Is there any way to change the divine gift of an existing character? I found a character editor but I cannot change the deity...
I actually want to know this because I have a problem: after moding some of the .txt files the divine gift of my main character has somehow disappeared...

Do the other spells and CAs work fine? Then I would have a close look at your toons godspell in spells.txt (search for "gott_"). Maybe there is a slight error there. If you can't find anything, tell me your deity and I will look up the original spell entry and post it here for you to compare.

This won't work. Changeing the Subfamily of a weapon also affects how this weapon is handled. Your toon will start to hit opponents over the head with the bow...

Nice. Umm...Bulletpoints.
Well the CM Patch is missing some characteristics of a full Addon, like new Character Classes and Regions but I get your meaning. We already joked about the "CM Addon" internally.
I would mention:
Several entirely new Quests never seen before.
Tons of fixes for smooth gameplay and increased stability.
Lots of brand new Items, Sets and Bosses.
I want to stay away from explicit numbers, since I am a) too lazy to count them all and b) there is still a lot in the pipeline to be integrated.
I don't want to announce too much of the coming releases, because it might invite some guys to ask a lot of when? and if? questions.
However on top of fixing and tweaking some buggy stuff, there are several new sets still yet to come for all classes and I know that marcus has some new quests planned too.
