Pyro High Elf Build Question

Recommended Posts

Hello, I just got this game for Xbox 360 (don't hit me, I'm a PC gamer too but my gf only has an xbox and I wanted her to play this with me lol). I made an inquisitor and a serephim and messed up my builds a ton and now I am on my Pyro high elf which I absolutely adore. I would like to have my skill choices observed and get some constrictive criticism. This is what it boils down to, I want a solid badass character and I don't want bargaining or enhanced perception and as a level 25 its working out just fine for me but I don't know if it will hurt me down the road. I have played many games but never really played one that made me use skills (other than crafting skills) to gear myself out so I'm a lil iffy here. This is what I want:

- Arrant Pyromancer Lore - 175

- Arrant Pyromancer Focus - 175

- Armor Lore - 75

- Concentration - 75

- Ancient Magic - 75

- Delphic Arcana Focus - 9 points (to max out Grand Invigoration)

- Constitution - 75

- Combat Discipline - 75+

- ?

- ?

This is 734 points so far and I believe you get a total of 911, So I would have 177 left but I may also decide to put 150 or so in combat discipline. Maybe I could just say forget it and put concentration and combat discipline at 150 lol. This built is a slightly varied build based on little sara's.

I currently use a shield and a gun, mainly to keep my distance when I need to use my regular attack and utilize the defense bonus from the shield. I would like to get ranged possibly but that would require putting points into tactics lore and I'm not a huge fan of that. I have also considered shield lore and riding for my other two skills or MAYBE riding and perception. I do not yet understand how much more riding helps your mounts stats either. I just wanna be the best damage dealer I can be and I am willing to dedicate time to finding gear, I don't need it right away. Thanks for your time guys.

Welcome to FDM imbetterthanulol. Hope you have a great time here and hope to help you out with some ideas on this matter.

1.Why Combat Discipline? This Skill is for Weapon based CAs. Since you are a spell caster well it wont be recommended to fight up close. IF you wanted a CA to get your damage level up the a better choice will be Damage Lore.

2. Why only 9 points in Delphic Arcana Focus? This will give you the mods for GI but it wont get the max level of CAs without penalty high for you to not be forced to rad a million runes.

3. I wouldnt spend that many points in the Pyro focus and lore since after level 100 you get little return for the hard points you spend there. Better let gear do the work like +skills amulets

4. You said you use a shield then I recommend shield lore when you get it to mastery you get the beautiful chance to block close combat attacks since I tested it I saw it does wonders.

5. If you go mounted for the final skill you can always chose riding.

Hope that helps a bit and gives you a noter look.

1. It increases the damage of all combat arts it says. There are other High Elf Pyro builds on this site that recommend it.

2. Because leveling it ridiculously for one ability is wasteful.

3. How high should I go?

4. Thank you

5. MMMMMMk =]

So if I were to choose:

- Arrant Pyromancer Lore

- Arrant Pyromancer Focus

- Armor Lore

- Concentration

- Ancient Magic

- Delphic Arcana Focus

- Constitution

- Combat Discipline

- Shield Lore

- Riding

How would you suggest that I distribute my points?

you're right about combat discipline, just checked it for you and it does improve your damage output, in or out of a combo. One tip, put you're combat arts in a combo even if it excist of only one spell. you get the regeneration bonus.

btw take concentration first so you ca have two buffs!

I also just bought it for the 360 and looking for people to play/trade with and talk about the skills

gameraccount is NL Vegeta NL add me if you want

This is the order I would take them in. Take the advantage of the skill point you have and make sure you get 3 mastery's when you hit level 75. I would get the in the same order as they are set there. For more look up my guide.

As for Combat Discipline I still stand that you dont need it and the bonus you get wont be wornt that much. Pyro High Elfs never lack damage when built right.
