Untwinked and Iron Characters?

Anyone played this way? Please share....

 

Edit: the point of this is not to argue that these rules make the game super difficult aka the ultimate challenge or whatever. The point is that you make it more difficult to break the game by exploits. Its also a bit more of a challenge..I am already noticing that I am more attentive and excited by the game and it is seeming less like 'work'.

 

 

 

Untwinked- Does not utilize handouts from the shared hero's chest (I'm NOT saying that is cheating just this is a extra handicap). Does not trade. Does not exploit xp from multiplayer (5 man game ok.....another high level character setting you up (see level 13 in 5 minutes thread) to receive quests rewards not....Another no no is having a high level character (or twinked character) escort you through bosses/difficulties). You may party against bosses with other characters playing Untwinked.

 

 

Untwinked may be softcore (whimps) or hardcore... Most likely only experts will see gold in untwinked/hardcore mode.

 

Untwinked may also be iron or not. Iron is always additionally untwinked or else very little point (have another character shop?)

 

Untwinked + Iron-

 

You may not go to shops or use the runemaster. May not party or receive help from others unless they are also Untwinked + Iron.

 

Iron light: may use runemaster but not shops..

 

 

 

 

Note: I am looking for people to play this way with on the US servers! PM me.. Please don't cheat if you do this with me. Your allowed to quit at anytime, but don't cheat advantages and lie about it..

 

 

Export only rule: to prevent the destruction of cool drops, both these characters may use the shared chest but in an export only fashion. They may put something in the shared stash, but once they put it they may not take it out.

 

Grandfather Rule (optional): Your Grand father has left you items from a level 5 trader! You may have: A chestpiece, 1 other armor, whatever fills 1 weapon slot (1 only), 4 rings, 4 amulets. This is just to make the beginning of the game a little less painful. Because your pretty much relient on luck with runes at first.. NOTE: NOPE YOU MAY NOT PUT NIOB SMITH ARTS IN Grandfather items. You may put level 5 silver merchantsmith arts in any sockets.

Yes I played one character like that (well it was the last character I have played and it's still alive), but I just cannot get beyond level 20 whitout getting bored on the game, so cannot say when it turns interesting. I thought it would be really hard to survive in HC, but atleast Dryad can survive just fine whitout using anything but what the foes drop.

 

Back in Plus and Underworld this kind of playstyle was atleast in two big challenges, where you had to do something extra good on top of surviving, like exploring certain % of the map or beat some giant monster (like a dragon) or get fastest to certain level whit enought map discovered..
