Sacred 2 Activation Problem Solving

Heyas. Thought this troubleshooting guide might be handy around here. Originally from the SIF

If you encounter problems with activating your Sacred 2 game, the following 3 steps, taken in order, will assist in resolving any problems as quickly as possible:

 

1) Review the information here: http://www.unlock.sacred2.com/

 

2) If you don't find the information you need there, check the links on this page (click the error message for more information). If your error message isn't listed contact SecuROM Support at: support@secuROM.com

 

3) If you are still unable to resolve your problem, please contact official support for your version. Contact information for all regional versions can be found in this FAQ: Official Support Contact Information

 

 

Edit:

The following information was posted regarding a specific but rare problem/message that occurs the first time you try to launch the game. If you got this message, please follow these instructions:

Message: Quote: "Could not write license data!"

Please delete the subfolder "UserData" out of the following folder:

 

(Vista): C:\Users\USERNAME\Appdata\Roaming\SecuROM

(XP): C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\SecuROM

 

Note: These folders "AppData" and "Securom" are hidden by default. To change

that setting open the control panel and choose "folder options". In the new

window choose the tab "View" and enable the option "show all files and

folders" and disable the option "hide extensions for known file types". Then

close the window by clicking OK.

 

 

Should the problem persist please repeat the instruction described above and

do the following steps additionally:

 

- click on "Start" and choose "Run" or simply type "WIN + R"

- in the new window please type "regedit" (without "") and confirm by OK

- now the registry editor should start. please move to the following folder:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SecuROM\

- there please delete the subfolder "UserData"

- then close the registry editor.

 

Now it should be possible to start the game.

 

 

Should the problem persist though please follow this instuction:

 

- insert the original cd

- restart windows

- do a right-click on the protected executable in the program-folder

- choose "launch analysis" with the left mouse-butten

- confirm the message-box with "yes"

- this process creates a file 'AnalysisLog.sr0' on your drive c:\ in root

- attach this file to a mail and send it to the technical support of securom:

 

==> support@SecuROM.com Note: as you see, on the http://www.unlock.sacred2.com/ another email address is listed for the support than the one Caro posted. After asking Sony, they informed us that BOTH email addresses are working, so take the one you feel confortable with.

 

So the support addresses for the licence trouble are:

 

support_pa@securom.com and support@secuROM.com
