Battle Below Ground!

I am creating this topic in an attempt to get the solution out to all those other console players having immense frustration with this quest.

 

I read somewhere that it was possible (maybe only on the PS3) to use a jumping Combat Art (Belligerant Vault, Forest Flight, etc. to get through the darkness and complete the quest.

 

If you have anything that might help, it would be very much appreciated.
