Possible to edit save game files on PS3?

I've been wondering whether it's possible to edit the save game files on PS3.

 

I've seen people edit their save files on the Xbox360 but am wondering if the same could be done with save files from the PS3.

 

Also...can you download other peoples Sacred 2 files to play on your own system or would it be account restricted?
