joanofarc 1
Hi everybody. I am new to TG and it seems a bit weak. What kind of temple guardian do u suggest which is very strong build? I am new to Sacred 2 world, but I have played a level 90 Dwaft in platinum and a Level 60 Dark Elf in Gold in Sacred 1. I tried the Hybrid seraphim build, but for Her Colossus is awesome hard. My brother might start with a TG in single player. What do you suggest? Could you offer other great TG guides which can be played solo (without able to swap item though the net, because lack of net) and able to get through Colossus which is an awesome opponent ? How to use and eat runes properly, because after eating 1 and again 2 the regeneration time increasing highly. We cant get special gears for it. Thx. Link to comment
essjayehm 58
Temple Guardians are very weak to start the game, but once they get rolling, they can be a major force! http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8730 I think a pure-Devout TG would be best for a newer player with limited experience with Sacred 2. IIRC you are playing an early version of the game, and so I linked Llama's build/guide for you here since it may be helpful (was written in 2008!) even though he uses the Source Warden aspect as well. It has a "learning" aspect to the build/thread, where he puts forth his ideas, and reports back on how things worked out. But peruse the other TG builds, there are more than enough to get a good idea of how we build these characters. The only thing I would avoid taking Concentration skill and do not use the Untouchable Force buff. Combat Art regnereation times are tough enough to get a handle on (as you've discovered) with 1 buff, nevemind 2 (or 3!). Ensure you also get Bargaining skill since you are not on-line, this will be the only way for you to get decent equipment. I replied to your rune-eating query in another thread... joanofarc 1
Heya. Thanks Esslayem. Could you give some sdvice how to lower regeneration time (without equipments ans slots) for my Hybris DW seraphim? Like for High Elf GRAND INVIGORATION lowers reg. time? Which one is better to take EP or bargaining (just only 1) and why in a not-online play? Edited November 26, 2010 by joanofarc Link to comment

Little Faith 24
I am actually going to disagree with the general consensus about the best TG build for starters. Melee TG's take a LONG time to mature. Your main (only) mass killer, Deathly Spears only gets good at mid-high levels, and Battle Extension is just a plain weak skill. Dedicated Blow does get nice later on when you can put some runes in it without killing your regen and it's special only start to be truly good in the higher difficulties where monster armour start to really matter. If you want to make a fairly general-purpose TG that starts to be good in the earlier game you want a Source Warden/Devout Guardian hybrid. Focusing on Source Warden first. Fiery Ember is actually quite good at mass slaughtering kobolds and undead. As you mature Deathly Spears becomes available giving you the "punch" to go after tougher targets, like bosses. Icy Evanescence is also pretty good at taking out mobs - provided you've got a few runes invested in the CA. While it might not kill higher ranked mobs outright, it can do significant damage to them so they're one shot-able. Link to comment
