Silver_fox 397
I just wanted to note that this quest is a bit incomplete in v110. It would most likely be changed in the next version. 1 Link to comment

wolfie2kX 528
does anyone know on how or where to get this quest? its a total mystery to me? or has anyone had any experience with this quest at all? Sheesh.. How ever did this thread get past me...? As a matter of fact, I do know where. I had a hand in creating it... You need CM Patch 110 or later installed. You need to be playing the main quest line and make it to the lair of the master letch librarian, Mr Giles on Seraphim Island. After your first meeting with Mr Giles, as you're leaving the building, you get a dialog pop up as your character notices a guy standing at the side near a T-Energy Console. You need to talk to him. His name is Toren and he'll give you the quest. It's a rather long schlep all the way back to Tyr Lysia (good thing there's teleporters!), you have to go to a cave, and have a nice, challenging fight there (4 bosses!). I'll let you discover the rest of the quest when you do it.. One note, however, there are some books involved - they're works in progress and should be ready sometime in the near future. 1 Link to comment
Dragon Brother 619
Cool quest Shame the books aren't implemented yet, but I assume those are the ones you posted a while back wolfie? Link to comment
wolfie2kX 528
Cool quest Shame the books aren't implemented yet, but I assume those are the ones you posted a while back wolfie? Yah.. For the most part. I've got a few um...editorial issues that need to be dealt with. Beyond a few spellink errors, there's a few things that didn't sit well with some of the editors as they are contrary to what is deemed 'canon'... So... I'm in the process of doing a few rewrites. shopperen 0
I would like to know if there is anything more happening after you get the four books (which for now are empty, maybe they will later lead to to the next part of the quest). Or does it stop after you talk to Toron again (after which you get the books)? Link to comment
wolfie2kX 528
OK.. Time to necropost this thread.. And give an update. CM Patch 140 is now available and 4 of the 5 books in the series are now available for reading in the game! (yay! finally!) The fifth one got kinda forgotten - but it's slated for CM Patch v 150 which will be out - well. when it's ready. The quest is pretty much over after you talk to Toren the 2nd time and collect your booty (the 4 books). At the moment we're looking at how best to implement the 5th tome - the one with the payoff to the whole series. The CM Patch guys are looking at maybe extending the quest to have a hidden trigger - one that reopens the quest when you get near the book - just so you don't miss finding it. Needless to say, tweaks are in progress. In the mean time enjoy! Link to comment
Saphalond 0
Awesome news! Both about this quest and the fact that you mention a 150 version for the CM. I had assumed this was it since it took so long to release. Once again, great news on both fronts! Thanks wolfie! Link to comment
wolfie2kX 528
Actuallly... It kinda sorta was supposed to be the end of the road. BUT... A few niggling little problems popped up - like the missing tome, among other things, so it looks like there will be a need for a 150 build. When and where? I don't know - when it's ready.
