Sacred 2 on Windows 8 freezes - pls help

I just bought a Windows 8 and can't ge past the startup screen. I did once, but that just happened and now it freezes. Can someone help? Thanks.

You may need to set the game to compatibiliy with a different version of Windows. I'm not sure how to do that with Windows 8 though.

You'll need to set both the destination game shortcut executable and s2gs(the game server) to Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3 compatibility.

If you check Properties of your Sacred 2 shortcut, it should tell you where Sacred2.exe is located. Just right click on the file, choose Properties, and switch Compatibility to XP SP 3. Do the same for S2GS.exe
