This is what our friend Halenthal over from the SIF says

Extremely addictive, very hard and very VERY rewarding.

All ascii graphics and the game actually generates your own world depending on how powerful your comp is within a matter of time.

The more powerful your comp, the faster your world will generate. Usually takes about an hour and apparently you can see it happening in front of you and it's a worthwhile process.

Helanethal, the guy who writes about this game is a huge tech expert at Sacred International Forum, does work all over the computer realm and is an expert game player and tester.

Quitting oGame has left me gameless... Gamelessness does my head in

 

When I saw this thread, I thought I would give Dwarf Fortress a go...

 

So far I have watched my world generate... IMHO this was the most boring experience ever... Saying that tho, I did sit here and watch for over an hour as it generated

 

I will start playing today and get back to you

Halenthal has gone through TONS of games, and he's a professional tester...if he says something is very cool, I'm so intersted in know what someone else thinks of it as well.

Dyin to know how you like it and if it's as cool as he says it is.

Be mighty careful with this one...

 

I got a full system crash with the BSOD... video driver issue.

 

If anybody really does figure it out, let us know...
