Dam Still Remaining From Wet Danger Quest?

Hello friends, I'm in a weird spot with the storyline mission "Wet Danger." I have done the things required of me to fight the McOctopus, but even though combat logs show that I've successfully destroyed it the dam remains there. Not really sure what to do, any advice would be appreciated.

I have seen the error in my ways and defeated the McOcto. Thank you for letting me figure this out, as I should use more of my brain
