501105 0
Some new pics: http://www.krawall.de/web/Sacred_2_F.....;/id,29447/s,,c Also a german preview a interesting read: http://www.krawall.de/web/Sacred_2_F.....;/id,29476/s,,c Few facts from it: max lv 216. Difficulties:bronze, silver, gold, platinum, Niob and Hardcore, in the last difficulty when you die you are really dead. The kraken on one of the pics is a boss. You can get a horse at the start of the game and get the char exclusive ride by doing a quest. All 94 ascaron employees are working on sacred 2. Traveling from one point of the land to another (as long of a route as possible) will take about 6 hours if you walk. There will be achievements to unlock for both the pc and 360 version. The pc version is currently looking the best because it is a few weeks ahead of the 360 version. There are many different kinds of areas, they talked about an aztec pyramid that looks like it came out of a tomb raider game and a swamp as examples. They are putting a lot of time in adding small details to make the world feel as real as possible. The dark or light choice you make before beginning the game will influence atleast half of the mainquests which means more replay value. Link to comment
gogoblender 3,077
Wonderful find 501105, great newscatching! I'm quite impressed with how the game's shaping up, because some of the lighting and concepts was still so early...but this new batch has firmly cemented in place for me Sacred 2's place as one of the most important releases this coming year. A great find and I was able to get some pics hosted from the link you posted here for everyone to feast upon: The history of the mysterious T-energy makes you curious. The scenario was well chosen. All 94 Ascaron employees are working on Sacred 2 to release it in a fantastic state Sacred 2 should be suited for the mass-market. The gameplay tries to be the border between accesibility and complexity The extensive mainquest drives the player through 180 quests. Also playing for a second time will be rewarding. The new 3D-gameworld has been beautifully created. The engine unfortunately cannot create a high range of vision. (similar to oblivion`s grass/land popping up) We have convinced ourselves: With Sacred 2 Ascaron has an amazing game. gogo Big thanks to 501105 who has translated the German text for us into English! gogoblender 3,077
501105 Thanks for the translation! I've added your English notes into the first post. I also wanted to say that I think the blue light on the left of the Shadow Warrior's armor is superb. Kind of reminds me of the mix of super sorcery technology that hellgate was done with. And did you guys check out the Combat Arts tree? Deliciously complex gogo Link to comment
