Question about updating/patching

Hello everyone,

Is it necessary to patch the game? I've been reading the forum and people seem to have problems patching the US version. I can still get online and play, but right before I enter the lobby it tells me to visit the Sacred 2 website for the latest version. What do you recommend doing?

To play online (at least on OPEN/CLOSED) you have no other choice than to patch. The servers run on the latest patch, older versions will not be able to connect.

If you only play SP, it's up to you. However, patches always fix stuff, so you'd better patch the game anyway.

So if I am able to get online on closed net, that means I am fully patched correct? I should thus disregard the message about the newest version?

Yes. The message they send is to remind people that to play online, they need the latest patch

Simply check your version (in the lower left corner of the menu screen). If it says '2.34', then you have the latest version.
