  1. No but there are plenty of women on the net and In general we dont like to be called girls much like most men dont like to be called boys .... I don't mind being called a girl, but maybe this speaks of my 8 years old persona. I even find it sort of awkward to be called a woman. I'm also often taken for underage and don't mind at all (while I'm 26). Oh and umm, welcome Asuka. I'm sorta new myself, but sorta active too
  2. Lv 26, 17k enemies killed, SB of 82% Survival Bonus is dependant on time spent in battle, which means time where you attack or get attacked. It's only based on time, not actual damage received/done. It grows slower as its higher, and its impossible to have beyond 100% apparently.
  3. That's because its not *supposed* to be 50% penalty. It's supposed to be 30%ish penalty, see the description at the unique mount guy, and notice the number changes as soon as you buy one.
  4. Earlier than Sacred. Getting rid of T-Energy in the world apparently gives way for the stage of Sacred 1 to be set, where High Elves aren't even there instead of being the dominant race.
  5. Think of them as extra buffs. You have both the penalty and the bonus active. A unique mount gives like: ~50% penalty to all aspects ~30% bonus to an aspect (resulting in only 20% penalty to this aspect). If you put enough points in Riding, you will bring down the 50%, for example at skill level 75 it should be 15,3%. Now you have: ~15,3% penalty to all aspects ~30% bonus to an aspect (resulting in 14,7% bonus to this aspect). Are you sure it results like this, like they cancel each other out? As in 50-30%= 20% penalty, instead of say: 100 +50% = 150 then 150 -33.3% = 100? (Which order you do it doesn't matter). I'm saying this because other regeneration bonuses stack on top of each other (instead of add up to each other). Arrant Pyromancer Focus (regen bonus) * Concentration (regen bonus) * Combat Discipline 75+ (20% regen bonus) * Grand Invigoration (regen bonus) then there's Incandescent Skin which has the same factor (a bonus, and a penalty to all) If they simply added up I would have a negative regeneration time. Damage is similarly calculated by multiplying: Arrant Pyromancer CA base-damage and DoT * Arrant Pyromancer Lore (dmg/crit bonus) * Ancient Magic (dmg/pierce immunity bonus) * Combat Discipline (dmg bonus) which results in pretty impressive amounts at lv 200 Base Damage of 620 (lv 102 effective lv) * 450% dmg or so * 190% or so * 235% or so = 12,500 dmg fireballs (2 of them)* Counting Lore 175+0 Ancient Magic 75+0 Combat Discipline 150+0, example is hypothetical
  6. Weaken is the effect of Magic-type damage. My Seraphim has one sword 28% converts to Magic and one sword 28% converts to Fire, resulting in ~8% chance to Weaken and ~8% chance to Burn
  7. From the wiki By the calculation you say here, by skill level 30, you would have 30 - 30x121% = 6% regeneration BONUS, no? Does riding affect unique mounts other than the speed bonus? Edit: Another point here. About unique mounts, they say Regeneration of all combat arts +~35% and Regeneration of specific aspect -33.3%, (though currently there's a bug making the penalty reach 50% when the mount is your level). Does that make one aspect have both the penalty and bonus or is this aspect "immune" from the "All combat arts" penalty because the mount is of this aspect? For example, my High Elf has 100% regeneration for Arrant Pyromancer, Mystic Stormite and Delphic Arcana. She buys, and mounts a Pyromancer-type mount. Is her Regeneration rate +50% for all then -33.3% for Arrant Pyromancer, or simply -33.3% for Pyromancer and +50% for the two others? Meaning the end result would either be: 100% Arrant Pyromancer (100+50% = 150 -33.3% = 100) 150% Mystic Stormite 150% Delphic Arcana vs 66.7% Pyromancer (100-33.3% only) 150% Stormite 150% Arcana
  8. Besides the obvious differences in main quest, and class quests, there are side quests that you can only take if you are x character, have y deity, or are z alignment (good or bad). High Elf can take the "Order of the Seraphim" quests, where she kills an elemental, kills kobold gravepillars, and then goes to check on the Abbess, inside the "sanctuary" (that's actually a rather creepy dungeon). Seraphim can't take it, even though she's Light inherently. Any Shadow Campaign character will instead get a quest from an Inquisition Guard to "strengthen the demon-controlling spell on the Abbess", but none of the others. A Temple Guardian will have someone asking them to get oil stones, to help their joints. A Seraphim gets to save another Seraphim trapped in a cave. and so on
  9. Like I said, its counted together with other MF+, if it wasn't then there might be questions. Like I know for example that multiple bonuses of +% chance to evade from difference sources will stack independantly. Say my base chance to evade is 20%, and I got +11% (from mount), its now 22.2%, and I got +40% from gear/CAs, its now about 31.0%. The problem is there is no "base chance for MF". What accounts for MF = 1) Difficulty 2) Danger class of enemy (boss is highest no doubt) 3) Base rate for Blue, for Yellow, for Gold, for Green, for Orange, separately, and depending on mob. Some mobs may also only drop certain item types (Ghosts only drop: rings, amulets, money and potions for example). I doubt Factor 3 could be affected directly, as in not by a multiplier. If you have against enemy x a factor of 2% chance for Blue, 0.4% chance for Yellow, 0.1% chance for Gold, 0.05% chance for Green and 0.01% chance for Orange, and say Bronze has a 1.00x multiplier, and enemy x has a 1.00x danger class multiplier, it would drop at those rate multiplied by your "Chance to find Valuables" bonus seen in sigma. If not, this opens the door to enemies dropping Orange not at 0.01%, but at 1.61% (say, you explore 64% of map), which is absurd considering its 16100%! of the original value. Note: The percent values shown here are not representative of what's in the game. Blues probably drop more often...and Orange maybe even less.
  10. Its 768 MB VRAM minimum, but to run it smoothly I'd say 1-1.5 GB minimum, and IMO its not worth it. It makes your FPS plunge and even normal play (without elite) can make your card overheat after enough time. My card kept making me crash after about 12-14 hours of play.
  11. Gogo, I don't know what you have internally;but, this is what I have... I've got 2 bfg 7950 gt 512 mb. OC PCIe 2.0 video cards SLi'ed together;but, this game only wants to see one of them--and, pushs the setting to reveal this. I have gone in and re-set the Nvidia Control Panel(For this game---specifically..) ,and made the "correct" adjustments, which are : for Mulit-display/mixed-GPU accelleration is set to Single display performance mode, and under the setting for SLI performance mode: set it to NIVIDIA recommended. But, I have to check this every so often, due to the fact that Sacred2s' internal programming whats it set,to SEE only one of my two SLI'ed cards--weird... Putting ALL the burden on just one of the two cards--go figure! I can't make sense out of that. I have sent an e-mail to OCZ due to their TWO matched set ram modules both FAILING the Microsoft ram tester program. I had taken ALL of my ram modules out--then, tested each--one of them --individually. My corsair matched set--tested PERFECT--no problems;but, the two OCZ modules both individually failed--right off the bat in the same testing phase. I wish when I had purchased these 4 modules I had aquired 2 2pair corsair. I kind a remmeber at that time, for some reason--- I couldn't locate 2 2-pair matched sets of PC 3200(1 gig each) dual channel corsair ram. I indicated my concern of possible "compatiblility" issues which was brought to my attention by a Tech(adminstrator) at Sacred2s' Tech forum. I, in turn have recently sent an e-mail--back to OCZ of my concerns of "compatiblity" issues,which--was atttached to my "already" existing/assigned ticket number(and, OCZ has already assigned an RMA number to my tickect number --concerning their failed ram.) So, that's my story--and I'm stick'in to it... What your "take" on this:) And, yes--it's a very cool wallpaper. Especially set to the max rez. Joe You shouldn't run Elite Graphics without 768 MB VRAM or more on a single card, unless you like them crashes. I run the game on a 8800 GTS 320 MB just fine at medium in 1280x1024 settings. I put PhysX on CPU and the card to performance, its not noticeably worse graphically, but its definitely rendered faster.
  12. The fourth one of course, I don't use CAs, I'd be a fool to get -33.3% CA regen, when I can get +11.1% evade. By the way, I now have over 1000 Light Health Potions stashed in my chest...I stash them in case I ever need them, but also because selling them is worthless.
  13. Can you explain that? Static, how would that make it valuable? The players on the German forum said it was a mistake that it was 0.1%, and should be 1% I hope I'm guessing right, well if the value was 0.1% for Legendary, you'd say it makes it 0.2%, but I doubt it. For one, the WD Magic Find is counted together with equipment Magic Find (and perhaps Enhanced Perception Mastery MF).
  14. Here's my awesomeness killing Gar'Colossus in under 15 seconds at Bronze. Just check out the damage The 300s are mine, the 100s are him reflecting it in his face because of Reflect: Close Combat. And here is my Seraphim, on her Tiger, next to Excalibur
  15. Heh, I wonder if debug areas on the map count for WD, since they're not normally accessible (unless you have debug teleport). I'm curious about two places. High Elf region: North side of the big lake that's at the extreme east. There is a quest that can't be reached, do I need to go all the way around the lake (as I haven't yet, I had sorta planned to wait for the Ascaron quest to go), and is there a way from there? Human region: At Artamark's Gate, there is a volcan-shaped island just off the coast, seems you could almost walk on it...almost. There's a quest on the island just besides it, but there's no way to get there. Anyone knows how?
  16. According to someone on the official forums, only Physical damage is shown. I'd think the damage shown would take into account: Damage + xx% Damage: Physical +xx% Armor: Physical of enemy. (with weapon-based attacks - this would be shown in character info, in Damage, the physical part at least) What it doesn't take into account: Apparently, Seraphim shielding, unless the damage done is to the actual shield.* Damage Fire, Ice, Poison, Magic Damage +xx% for any of those non-physical Debateable wether it counts: Damage +xx% on y type, but I think it does. (but its obviously not shown in character info, since it varies depending on target) *I get trapped and I see 18, 18, 18, 18 (in red), yet when I check my lifebar, it's still at max, only my shield was dented, and it doesn't have 18 Damage Mitigation, only 7. Sometimes I get attacked by a mob, see a number in the two digits, then attack one with life leech right off, and it says Healing: 0, or nothing (meaning I'm full health). @Putrescine: Do you say Dryad is better with short swords/daggers because she has naturally higher dex, or because she's naturally faster-hitting with them?
  17. Well I can't be sure, I got it at 10,287 kills, after I got Slaughterer.
  18. In Ultima Online, you were able to "farm" your own Fire Wall spell to gain Magic Resistance (one of the hardest skills to get, since you have to get damaged by magic, you'd rather it be controlled by you, than some Lich Lord). Though at some point they "fixed it" so it was no longer possible. The spell didn't damage you, and so you couldn't gain points in skill anymore.
  19. My screenshots dont use Elite Graphics, are in Medium, with PhysX by CPU, in 1280x1024, and I still take pretty nice .bmp pics using Fraps.
  20. If I'm right, reaching Gold is Perseverance, reaching Platinum is Heroic Perseverance and reaching Niob is Legendary Perseverance, and if you play HC, you'll need a legendary build to not die.
  21. At low level you'd barely be able to kill it, even though it's your level. At lv 10 you'd run out of potions for example. Above 20 it's beatable. The drops aren't all that great I think.
  22. Heh, I had to throw 200 away by scrapping/selling them. I put 400 in my shared stash, and about 120 in my personal one. I still have over 500 Light Health Potions on me. I had to get rid of Blue, Yellow, Green and Purple ones too, but not as much, I put them in my personal stash, what exceeded 200 of each. LoL, tbh, I'm impressed there ought to be an achievement for collecting that many potions. Frankly, I use more potions to keep hirelings/escorts alive than I do for myself, though it helps that monsters cap at 19 in this region and I'm 25... I beat 7 optional bosses so far.
  23. I had that same issue, this is the software not the hardware that made it froze.
  24. You have a total of 921 skill points to pick. This sounds like a build I would do on my Dryad. As for my Seraphim, I'd probably keep Bargaining at 75 + bonuses, simply because compared to my other skills its crappy. I also bring none to 200, because its not needed. If you DO get +100 for all skills, and +30 for Bargaining, and +30 for Enhanced Perception on another set of relics, well you'd have 200 in both. The problem with having 330 is not that it isn't higher, it's that it's diminishing returns and god knows what benefit you have from having a skill +130 from your level.
