  1. The time is 03:59 AM, and this is my weather report: Temperature is just below 60 degrees, and the moon can barely be seen behind a cover of clouds. My balcony is moist and cold to the touch, and I seriously need a hobby.
  2. Oh yeah, when the head just drops off, gets legs and start walking away. Haha, that's a good scene. Everyone just stands by watching it in horror and confusion before mr Russell decides it's time for a quick incineration. Priceless.
  3. I agree. I hope it'll be great. Would suck if they destroyed the legacy of a great movie with mediocre effort and acting. Let's just hope. I'm also looking forward to the new alien film that's coming out around June 2012. From what I know, it's going to be called "Prometheus", and be directed by good ol' Ridley Scott. Are we looking at another sci-fi prequel?
  4. Yeah, you got it man. That's the sadomasicist Kakihara with his infamous needles. You can post the next picture, if you want it.
  5. If you're referring to the '82 Carpenter film, it starts with a helicopter with two Norwegian scientists chasing a dog across the ice. (one of the pilots is Carpenter himself) They land to pursue the dog on foot, shooting violently after it, completely ignoring the Americans watching the whole thing, ending in one of the bystanders getting hit. This forces one of the Americans to shoot and kill the gunman. (the other one had already killed himself with a grenade). And yes, I've seen this movie a couple of times to say the least
  6. Remember John Carpenter's The Thing from 1982? Or the original one, The thing from another world? Well, they just made a new one that is to be released this year. But this one is supposed to be a prequel, not simply a remake. Half the cast is Norwegian, and featuring some of our finest actors. (almost all of them, haha) I've added a trailer for the movie. I have to say, as a huge fan of the '82 movie, I'm looking forward to seing this. Let's just HOPE that it will not be a mediocre CGI-fest, huh? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI_v0758XhY
  7. Around 70 degrees today in western Norway. Been alot of sunny days lately, but today it's rather overcast and foggy in the distance. I feel fit for fight. I work best in 60-70 degrees, no doubt.
  8. Alright, looks like nothing is happening here. I'll post another one for you:
  9. Sunny as hell here today. And very hot too. Perhaps 25 celcius. I'm sweating like crazy, and I haven't even been out yet. I have several hornets nests on my balcony, so sitting in the sun is out of the question. Anyway, I find lying around in the sun awfully boring, so it probably won't happen until I'm as pale as an arctic ghost with the flu.
  10. I'm back to Dead can dance again. Can share another song with you if you like. Real nice stuff. Enchanting and fantasy-inducing.
  11. I'm glad to see a fellow metal-fan here, Schniepel. I love the 70's era Judas Priest, and they are one of my favourites of the genre. Just can't stand the "Breakin' the law"-period they went through, even though it was with British Steel they got world famous. I would also say that I'm quite open-minded when it comes to music. Classical, Opera, 50's - 80's pop, Folk music, Rock/Hard rock, some electronica and trance. But I don't like what the young kids are into today. Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and everything including autotuned vocals. I steer away from that whenever I can. I also found another old recording of a guy who really creeps me out. Just imagine walking alone through a dark forest and suddenly hearing a strange noise behind you. You turn around, only to see this guy coming towards you from a distance with tiny, fast steps while violently playing his ukulele and singing with a weird grin on his face. Dread!
  12. At the moment? Well.. (also featuring a cameo by captain Picard, in blue outfit) Hahahahaha, HEY!
  13. Thank you, stubbie. Would be very helpful.. if it worked. I tried following excactly what they put out, but with no success. My harddrive's location is "Location 0 (Channel 0, Target 0, Lun 0", yet, when I put this into my command line: reg.exe add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci\Controller0\Channel0" /f /v TreatAsInternalPort /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001 ..and restart my computer, nothing has changed.
  14. I'm in need of a computer-wiz here. My laptop was originally delivered with Windows Vista, which I soon swapped for Windows 7 (32). It all worked well except for one thing: In the far right corner of my toolbar, where some of the launched programs icons are, there is an icon that says "safely remove hardware and eject media". This one usually pops up when you have plugged in a USB-flash drive. When I press it, it says "Eject Hitachi HTS543232L9A300 ATA device", which is my internal and only hard-drive. Is there any way to make this go away? Obviously, the system doesn't quite recognize my hard-drive, and thinks that it's a removable external HDD. I have tried updating the driver, but it says that it already have the most recent one. I've also tried searching around google, but I couldn't find any suiting answer.
  15. As of 6/2/2011, 07:52 Norwegian time, I am unable to log on to Playstation network. I was just about to download some DLC's for Dragon Age when I got that dreaded ERROR 80710101 code again. What excactly ARE the oompa loompas over at sony's doing? Isn't it about time they put up the "Don't press the red button"-sign? I just hope they keep their promises when PSN Store re-opens. They better give me alot of free stuff for my troubles. Have anyone else had this problem today? (Edit: typo! God forbid)
  16. I recently started to listen to Dead can dance. Believe me, their stuff is of utmost musical poetry, and feels like a dark dream upon the listener. Here's a song that I've been listening alot to lately. It's from their gloomy 1987 release "Within the realm of a dying sun". You need to be in a calmed state of mind to fully enjoy this, I think.
  17. It's rainy here. Have been raining all week, and quite frankly, that's the way I like it. Too much sun is much more straining than a few drops of rain.
  18. I know how that feels, Chattius. We had one incident in Norway some years ago where people got really sick from eating one special kind of sausage. They had found Escherichia coli bacterias which also exist in human feces. How nasty is that? I'm just glad I didn't eat that sausage at all. I also had a friend who worked at one of those factories, and I asked him if he was the one that had pooped in the sausage-tank. He kindly answered yes. I hope he was joking.
  19. Yeah, I just finished wathcing the first season on DVD, so I'm going to continue playing now. I was just waiting for an episode where Macgyver was pinned down between loads of badguys in grey suits shooting at him, and then he just thinks "to hell with this ethical sh*t, eat some lead!", and then he just picks up the meanest gun and shoots the crap out of everyone within a hundred yards. Hahaha. That would make my day. Back to topic: You should definately try the demo for this game, and buy it if you think it kicks ass. There are some MEAN fatalities and x-ray moves in there that is bound to have you laughing from the extremely exaggerated violence on display.
  20. Yeah, it is fun. But one thing bothers me.. Either I am a little bad at this game, or it is just made for people with ultra speed reflexes. To block some attacks, I swear you need to be connected with the matrix and slow down time. I play this game at the easiest setting: Beginner. That's like the bottom of a list of 6 difficulty settings. Imagine playing on the top one. Also, I tend to get a little annoyed when I lose a game too often. To avoid losing my nerve, I guess I should take a short break and watch some Macgyver instead. He'll know what to do.
  21. Yeah, been playing it now. It's alot of fun, for sure. Learning a character's different attacks is quite easy after a few tries, but you need to be really fast to block your opponent's assault at times. I haven't tried half of the different features in the game yet. I've only been playing practice and story mode. I have to say this: I really recommend this game! If you are a fan of fighting-games, this one is truly essential. The whole ultraviolent theme it's got going, with slow motion x-ray impact damage and stuff, is just so much fun.
  22. I pre-ordered the (K)ollector's edition of the game as soon as I finished the demo. It actually cost me like 100 dollars, but you get BONUS stuff both outside of the game and in. Really hope that it is worth it. Here's a photo of what you get if you are willing to spend some dough: There's an artbook to the right with artwork for each character, a steel-case for the game itself, and a collec.. sorry, (K)ollection figurine of scorpion and sub-zero duking it out inside the package there. Additionally, you will get some extra stuff for the game, like old-school outfits for certain characters and some custom avatars. I also got a free T-shirt with my order. The size was, ofcourse, Medium. WHO uses MEDIUM nowadays? At least not grown men.. I use XXL myself, so I would look VERY suspicious in it. Would look like a short top, for sure. Too bad though, I think it looks cool.
  23. I like simply the stability. Windows XP and Vista has frozen on me several times, requiring a full system restart. I have never had to do that with Windows 7. Also, only XP used less memory while running. My laptop ran Vista originally, which ate up over half of my available memory even in standby mode. This system is quite self-explanatory and logical, and very easy to use. I think that windows 7 is my favourite operative system. Just the MS paint was better on XP.
  24. Ah, yes. It's coming back to me now. Thanks for clearing it up, haha. I think the Necromancers were a pain in the ass to beat. They always re-aninmated dead enemies and brought an army of like 30K skeletons with them. Their town theme is definately one of the best though. So creepy!
