  1. I cast the spell while running away, after discovering the "malfunction" of the space bar... I'm glad that guy didn't attack me at that moment I'll stress the importance of the God spells again - they are not the "I win" buttons, they are the "I don't lose" buttons. Each can be very useful if you pick the right moment to cast it. Even the demon can distract the opponent for a second.
  2. I have updated the first post with the details of my latest Jedi seraphim (at the bottom of the post). The one that beat Silver at level 26 That was a very rewarding experience, though rather dangerous. Yay I knew this one would restore the balance of the force, she has always been special (she even got green hair when she was born). May the force be with you all
  3. Bragging thread I have just set an important record (for myself that is) My youngest padawan decided to break the unlucky streak that has been haunting the Jedi Seras. She slashed her way through the enemies, going directly towards the ultimate goal... and emerged victorious!! She beat Silver at level 26, hardcore. During the final battle she ran out of health potions... Of course she noticed it when it was almost too late... With her last breath she spoke a word of prayer to Kybele... Her fatal wounds have suddenly disappeared... She saw her enemy, also struggling to shake off the clutches of death... With a mighty thrust she delivered the Coup de Grace, ending his miserable existance. Phew, my hands are still shaking. If that's not the ultimate reward of hardcore, I don't know what is... Perhaps for some builds it's easy to achieve this, but it's been a really tough run for me. I'll post some details (and spoilers) of the progress in the build thread of this character.
  4. I'm adding one more trophy - Mechanical part thingy, seems to work like the Accumulator one. I'm not sure if they were added in the new patch, I had lost some end-game ones in a death in one of the previous patches. Now I'm stashing them right away into the shared. There might be one or two more trophy types. If you see one, let me know
  5. I added 3 trophies to the wiki Accumulator, Branch and Harpy feather. The first one is rather funny, it needs Warding Energy Lore instead of Alchemy. We also need to find a way to link to the potions table on Nightwolfe's site. They did quite a remarkable job on testing their effects and I don't feel like doing the same thing again. That info seems accurate enough, except for Undead potions that shoould be 90% instead of 100%, and duration of Concentration potion which should be 20 sec. Relevant stuff: Alchemy, updated Warding Energy Lore. Potions at Wolfe's Lair. edit: Removed obsolete links. Updated links: Potions and Trophies
  6. Globetrotter - if it indeed is about map revealed, it might be for 14,5%. I got it right after killing Kral, which was at a pretty low level so it could be for completing some quests within a time limit. edit: same with Explorer, got it right after talking to a main quest NPC, no map discovery was involved. And it's an umpteenth character that got Ambler after talking to the specific orc of the main quest (after killinq quest elementals).
  7. At least in the new patch, the mount is not leveling up with you, so his "All Combat Arts Regeneration + 50%" is lowered as you level. I have a level 11 tiger while I'm level 14. His regen penalty dropped to 42,2%, other stats are unaffected. We should pick a mount and stick with it for the entire game, since you can't buy a low level mount later on Here is how the bonus is displayed, without and with Riding:
  8. Yes, the "All Combat Arts Regeneration + 50%" is the regen penalty for mounting. I wanted to include it in the wiki to make it more clear, but forgot about it
  9. aww sorry to hear This is so depressing. I wonder what kind of nasty death will happen to my seraphim...
  10. Thankfully I had no problem installing. Has the "UI scaling" option been there in the previous patches? The one near the AA option.
  11. I made an example table for a mount that gives 30% penalty. It's in the subpage of the riding skill now. I updated the Riding page accordingly. If your mount has a different penalty than 30%, I believe you can still roughly calculate its penalty value. It should be reduced by 2/3 at around skill level 75. This 2/3 seems to be a working rule of thumb.
  12. At the Amazon Basin we are using a tool called Weasel Tech. It's basically a web page that you login to get the current password. Of course, Weasel Tech is custom-made and very sophisticated. It was made to protect thousands of players. You could do with something simpler.
  13. They appear on the stats they affect, so you need to look for them Weaken shows in the skill window, Freeze shows in the inventory overview tooltip (where survival bonus is located) as a reduced Run Speed. Here are the weakened stats, though I don't see any point in adding them to the other stuff
  14. I believe they cancel out, though it might be more complicated and not exactly like I described. Unfortunately now the mounts seem to be messed up, so it's not easy to get a completely accurate answer. The aspect mounts seem to act as +50% penalty for non-aspect arts and as +30% penalty for the aspect arts. This results in about 3% bonus to the aspect when you ride one, but it still seems to cancel out some way or another.
  15. If you ask me, I'd say a leaping horse is usually a better option. It saves time (since you don't need to shop stuff) and survivability (since you can equip better stuff). Plus, Leap allows you to make some shortcuts Charger should be the best leaper, as it has the highest level combat arts (smaller cooldown).
  16. Yes, we should be able to use these effects on enemies, though there is no easy way to test it. The effects I'm trying to cover here are Weaken (magic damage, T-mutant creatures and stuff), Freeze (ice damage), Wound (physical damage by itself or specific creature abilities, still not sure about it), Stun etc. There are also poison/burn, but I can't get more than screenshots of them There might be other effects as well, but I can't think of any right now...
  17. No, this is where the "This bonus is diminishing, so you get less benefit at higher levels (don't expect to hit 0% penalty)." is kicking in. The 121% reduction would actually be much smaller. I'll try to make an example table to address this, like gogo suggested. ~~~~~~ Think of them as extra buffs. You have both the penalty and the bonus active. A unique mount gives like: ~50% penalty to all aspects ~30% bonus to an aspect (resulting in only 20% penalty to this aspect). If you put enough points in Riding, you will bring down the 50%, for example at skill level 75 it should be 15,3%. Now you have: ~15,3% penalty to all aspects ~30% bonus to an aspect (resulting in 14,7% bonus to this aspect). ~~~~~~ It's the "+50% for all then -33.3% for Arrant Pyromancer" part.
  18. Here I'll try to gather some info about the detrimental effects, at least what I think are detrimental effects. More testing still needs to be done. Most curse effects can be identified by the cloud of small coloured particles that hover around character's head. _____________________________________________________________________________ Weaken Weaken reduces all character's stats (Strength etc) by about 20% for a few seconds. Uses the common curse animation (pic above). _____________________________________________________________________________ Freeze Freeze uses the same curse animation (except on NPCs, who get the blue-colored poison animation instead). Freeze effect behaves in a strange way. It doesn't actually freeze anything solid, but rather slows the target (affects Run Speed, not Attack Speed). There seem to be two types of this effect. In melee it seems to apply a 20% slow (unaffected by armor), for a duration of about 9 seconds. This slow effect stacks somewhat strangely with Run Speed bonus, it's not added directly. In a ranged attack it somehow applies a 33,4 slow effect (percentage affected by armor), for a small duration of about half a second. This stacks with the melee slow, for a total of 42,9% slow effect (but switches to the 20% after about half a second). I tested it on the Ice elementals from the Seraphim Island. Monster/character/damage levels might be affecting it as well. ___________________________________________________________________________ Opponent's Defense Value -% This effect is sometimes found on rings. It also has the usual curse animation. It is only applied after a successful hit (but it always works), even though the tooltip doesn't say so. ___________________________________________________________________________ Opponent's Armor: Physical -% This applies a non-cumulative effect that reduces opponents physical armor by the shown percentage. It is only applied after a successful hit, has the usual curse animation and lasts for 30 seconds (Long Debuff). It usually spawns on hafted weapons and two-handed swords (requires Sword Mastery skill to be unlocked).
  19. Huh? European or African Seraphim? I dunno... Anyway, while we can't really calculate the exact speed of characters, we can tell if one is moving faster than the others (which they do). Here's some useless but fun numbers. I'm not quite sure if we can wikify them. Different classes have different movement speeds, on foot and mounted. E.g., Inquisitor is the slowest while on his spider, but not while on foot. In a MP game the differences will not be very noticeable. However, even a dead horse gives you a very significant speed boost. Some people mentioned that they move faster on foot than on a mount, I say they imagined it since you need a lot of Run Speed bonus to equal that Riding at level 75 adds a bonus on top of the mount boost. This is mostly noticeable for the slowest-moving characters, others will not experience an earth-shattering visual difference (even though they will really move "much" faster). That's because the bonus is percentage based. On foot Seraphim and Shadow Warrior are the slowest of all (and move at the same speed). Others move roughly 4% faster. On an Epic Mount - "60% faster" roughly equivalents equipping 60% of Run Speed Shadow Warrior - 60% faster than SW on foot (fastest unique mount rider along with Temple Guardian) Temple Guardian - 55% faster than on foot (on mobiculum speed is the same as SW's on helhound) High Elf, Dryad - 48% faster than on foot (slower than SW and TG by roughly 5%) Seraphim - 40% faster than seraphim on foot (slower than SW by roughly 15%) Inquisitor - 30% faster than on foot (slower than SW by 20%) On a Horse - All chars move at the same speed while on a horse. Below is a comparison with their "on foot" and "on an epic mount" speed. Inquisitor - 48% faster than on foot, about 15% faster than on spider Seraphim - 53% faster than on foot, about 10% faster than on tiger High elf, Dryad - 48% faster than on foot, same as with their serpent and lizard Shadow Warrior - 53% faster than on foot, about 5% slower than on hellhound Temple Guardian - 48% faster than on foot, about 5% slower than on mobiculum Notes: - "+% Run speed" on equipment and mounts does not apply to mounts. - Mount level does not give a penalty to speed, but the mount has its level lowered next time you load a game (this is not affected by Riding). Relevant stuff: updated Riding on the wiki, updated Horse on the wiki.
  20. Did you know that the Ker's summoned Sakkara Demon becomes a boss when you lose control?
  21. That is assuming that 180% is actually not 80%. Still, a nice discovery.
  22. Level 31, died at the scorpion boss in a lag spike. Who needs the Sith, there are better ways to decimate the numbers of Jedis. Life has no meaning... except 42...
