  1. Having just finished the Unholy Crusade arc, I was wondering, which of the two Demordrey's do you consider the better villain? Personally, I prefer Baron Demordrey (the Demordrey from Sacred 2 shall henceforth be known as Ancestor Demordrey, due to 2 being a prequel). Ancestor Demordrey seemed like your generic villain, and didn't seem to have any plan aside from "have the crusaders kill everyone while I summon a demon for the lulz." Baron Demordrey, however, had a big plan, arguably verging on Magnificent Barsteward territory. Its clear that he was planning his coup for quite a while, and the sudden orc invasion gave him the perfect window of opportunity. He effortlessly manipulates the surrounding baronies and ensures he has his own men on the inside, arranges the deaths of you and Wilbur in a way that makes it seem like an accident (which fails, naturally), and finally used all the influence he had gathered to ensure his seat on Ancaria's throne. Hell, if it weren't for Shadarr, the Shakkara Demon, and of course, the player, he may very well have won.
  2. Hmm, I never thought of it that way. Alright, in that case, I think I'll wait until the endgame (Wastelands/Great Machine). Thanks for the heads up.
  3. Sorry, I misspoke. I meant that BG seems to hate hafted weapon users BECAUSE none of their weapons are hafted, and considering that Shadow Warriors are my class of choice besides Seraphim... Also, thanks for the info. =)
  4. Ok, thanks for the Relic advice. I've decided that I will tackle CI and the IaB content AFTER I clear out Tyr Lasia, at least up to the point where I complete the Undead Legion and ESPECIALLY the Blind Guardian quest for the epic reward gear (sadly, it will only be useful to my Seraphim, as BG apparently hates hafted weapon users. =( ) One last thing, which of the two IaB regions is better to start with first?
  5. I was just wondering if there's a consensus here. Last time I accessed the Christmas Island and Ice and Blood content, it was after completing all the quests in Thylisium. But...is it better to wait until later? I ask because while the Blood Island was manageable, the Ghost of Christmas Future kicked my ass, and I was playing on BRONZE at the time.
  6. Single. Not much of an online MP guy, really.
  7. I didn't think Silver mode would have such an effect on the game, but boy was I wrong. The bosses and mobs are actually CHALLENGING, no matter your own level. Indeed, taking down the White Griffin was a major hassle. On the plus side, leveling a lot easier now. I've just finished all the quests in western Tyr Lais (Bloodtongue, the Griffin, Abbess, etc) before heading to the next major town after Sloeford, and I'm already level 19. At this right, I may very well hit 25 before I even get to Thylisium. And I'm loving every minute of it. =D
  8. That's done. I've created the In Search of Life(Light version) page with the parts I've completed so far. Someone else is going to have to finish it, though, as I've only gotten as far as talking to the priest. Hope you like it. =)
  9. Oh yeah. Well, those parts are now corrected. Thanks for the heads up. =)
  10. And besides, I already put a more general Pet The Dog entry for Shadow characters in general.
  11. I'm willing to write the first few parts of the Shadow Warrior's In Search of Life(Light version) character quest if someone's willing to add relevant pictures/continue from where I left off, as I haven't actually completed that quest yet.
  12. Hmm...well, I've always been a sucker for rpgs of all types. JRPG, WRPG, SRPG, ARPG, I love em all. Ironically enough, I had gotten the original Sacred by accident. I had intended to get Fatal Frame 2, but my mother suggested Sacred as an alternative since FF2 seemed too scary for me (I was about 14-15 at the time). And...the rest is history. Now, as to why I enjoy the Sacred series: -The near seamless blend of the hack n slash gameplay of Diablo and the open world aspect of Elder Scrolls -Impressive graphics -Plots that managed to balance humor and seriousness. (Though in 2, most of the humor comes from idle chatter from enemies and NPCs) -The sheer amount of ingame customization -The bitching music (especially in 2) -The fact that, even with Ascaron gone, companies like Deep Silver were able to pitch in to make Ice and Blood/Gold available to us non-Europeans. -And finally, possibly most important of all....the community, modding or otherwise, its created. Seriously, I think it was browsing this board, this wiki, that reignited my dying interest in the franchise. I probably would never have gotten both games' Gold Editions otherwise. And 2's CM Patch and Escort Invincibility mod are lifesavers. The only negative thing is that, to my knowledge, such modding isn't possible in the original's Gold Edition.
  13. Really? I never heard that. :/ By the way, did I get the plot summaries for Underworld and 2 right? I'm still fairly early in both. Also, if anyone wants an edit to a certain trope entry on the page or a new trope, feel free to let me know. =)
  14. Ok, thanks. But...sorry, I'm still learning the more advanced mechanics, whats LL% mean?
  15. For an Exalted Warrior focused Seraphim, is it better to use two handed swords, or a sword/shield combo?
  16. Just...just great. It worked, but the Undead Legion quest (and a bunch of others) have complete reset. My character file is ruined now. Hopefully the next update is soon. D=
  17. I already talked to the Easter Bunny, and I've been looking in the upper right corner of the altar room, but I've found nothing. It just isn't there. I think I may have found a bug. :/
  18. I'm having trouble find the egg in Thylisium for the Easter quest. I go to the Inquisition's temple, but there's nothing. The vases just have generic loot, and I'm pretty sure there aren't any "sparkly" hiding spots that I can see. Help, please? Note, I'm using CM Patch v0100.
  19. I don't know if anyone here already knows this, but TvTropes has an article for the Sacred series that I've been expanding on recently. Link, if anyone's interested.
  20. One last thing, where can I find the new Undead Legion prelude quest? In Thylessium?
  21. Well, that worked. Good thing I still have the Gold Edition's installation file from DL Gamer. And I'll be sure to keep the CM file this time, just in case.
  22. My version is the latest, but I haven't used any mods. All I've done is make a minor script edit so NPCs can't hurt/kill eachother (for escort quests, mostly). Hmm, does anyone happen to have a link to the old 0094 version? Maybe I have to disable that, and I kinda deleted my file of it without knowing of the deactivation tool.
  23. Er...I tried to install the latest version (0100), but it says that my language (english) is not compatible.
  24. Well, right now I'm on Blood Isle, but before I was still in Tyr Whatever, getting ready to do any remaining sidequests before heading for the human lands for the next part of the main quest.
