  1. Ahhh, for French I didn't add the Diablo 2 voices, since I don't know if there even are any. French players should probably just leave commentary "on" and hear the normal Sacred 2 voices. Well, yes, if you want to hear the English Diablo 2 voices in an otherwise French installation, yes you could do exactly that.
  2. I love how the little girl has your damage aura buff. Give 'em hell kid!
  3. No, I'm sorry. All the changes are too intertwined throughout all the scripts and graphics files. It would take a long time to disentangle them all and make custom versions of the mod.
  4. This is not a character from Diablo 2, but rather a Diablo-fication of a classic Sacred 2 villain: The Black Seraphim. Since all the angels of Sacred 2 got a revamp in the mod, the evil angels did too! Generic Seraphim: Archangel Sophia: Izual (another corrupt angel): They're actually based on the Demon Hunter model from D3, which you might recognize.
  5. Thanks. I can't figure out why this would be. Everything seems in order in the script. Consider this a perk of the spell.
  6. Yeah! See, I've seen that spell in the scripts, but he's never used it against me, and I've fought him dozens and dozens of times. I think maybe the CM Patch changed something about his AI that's causing him to be less aggressive than he should be or something. There's stuff in the patch notes about changes to the boss, I should go check.
  7. Did anyone else find the fight against the Mist of Miasma kind of boring? It doesn't even attack you, just summons undead and floats around looking bored while you kill the undead. The Mist is scripted to have all kinds of nefarious attack spells, but I've never seen it use ANY of them. Have any of you ever seen the Mist actually use any attacks against you? Might be something to look into...
  8. Thanks guys. After talking it over with Pesmontis, we both agree to try go forward with the Werebear replacing the Dragon form. It's not certain yet, it could only be added IF we're able to adapt it to the frame and animations of an existing creature in Sacred 2. If we're successful I'll start a discussion about the Sorceress's Firewall vs. Blaze in her thread.
  9. I'm very glad to share it. Credit for this one goes entirely to Pesmontis and Silver Fox. The former designed the smoke shield and the latter named and designed a whole set around it. Silver Fox did a great write-up of Smoke Without Fire in this post.
  10. The format would be SET_XXX There's also CREATURE_XXXX for new entries in creatures.txt, and TASKCREATURE_XXXX and TASKITEM_XXXX for quest-related creatures and items in quest.txt There's probably lots more, but the online knowledge base made by the creators of the tool was lost in some kind of freak occurrence. Using the tool for me has been a bit like finding a crashed alien spaceship and trying to figure out how to make it fly again.
  11. Run the program, then look for the text box next to "Our own hash" You'll need the blueprint ID of your new item. Type BLUEPRINT_XXXX where "XXXX" is the blueprint ID of the item. Then click "Our own hash." It will generate the hash for the new item. Paste that number into the decoded global texts and add the name of the item next to it. Remember the space between number and name is a single <TAB> not two spaces! When you add new entries to global.res you have to be sure to add a + at the end of the command when you encode it. So the command would look like: S2rw.v1.7.exe globalEn_texts.txt En+ Good luck. I hope your sister likes her items.
  12. Thanks for the feedback. I'll wait and see who else responds but this has been a quiet development cycle for the mod. Yeah, think strength over speed. Hits slower but harder. Moves slower but soaks up more damage. More Defense, Armor, etc. BTW I sped up the Werewolf's move speed in this next version regardless. It depends. If added as a new full-fledged shapeshifting form, then yes. I was thinking adaptations of Rabies, Fire Claws, and Shockwave. To make it a bit more versatile in terms of damage output and also give it a spellcaster feel despite being a tank. If it was added as an upgrade to Werewolf, then no. It would still just have Maul and Fury, though it could still gain the tankiness. Basically it would just upgrade the Werewolf's stats and appearance.
  13. Creature Update # 20: Friendly NPC's part 3 (Re)Introducing you to even more friendly faces you may see in your quest across Ancaria in the next version of the mod. Flavie "Beware! The evil is strong ahead." Warriv "Better an empty pocket than a full grave." Lysander "Oh. Deafness has its advantages, you know. I'm no longer forced to overhear the tedious gossip of others." Ormus "When speaking of the dead, it is best to remain cryptic." Larzuk "I fear the time is near when I must put down my hammer and take up a sword, instead." Jerhyn "I'm beginning to like you, traveler." Halbu "Hail to you, champion." Jamella "Hail to you, champion." I hope you're as excited to see these characters again as I was to add them into the game! Once again Pesmontis has worked his magic to convert these models for use in the mod. Bonus: the High Pirate was just too cute to only use once so I gave her appearances in a few other places. Look for her in Thylysium's harbor, the Bluestonberry docks, and at Pirate Bay. This concludes the named-NPC's returning from Diablo 2, however it is not the end! Many more creatures, both friendly factions and enemies, are in development for the release of Beta 7!
  14. Werebear or Dragon form? I need opinions from players of the mod: should I replace Dragon shapeshifting form with Werebear? Pros: Werebear is more authentic and faithful to the original Diablo 2 Druid's shapeshifting forms Dragon form is just a copy of the Dragon Mage spell, nothing to do with Diablo The only reason Werebear was not in the mod from the start is because I couldn't find a good model for the creature - now I have one Form will get 3 new attack Combat Arts based on the Werebear from D2 Cons: Dragon form is a more unique, magic-using form that would be replaced with another melee form No more swift flying, or Leap, Blaze, and Fireball Combat Arts Previous players of the Dragon form will have to deal with the sudden change (the mod is still in Beta testing status though) Dragons are cool Misc: The game can only support TWO shapeshifting forms for the Druid. A choice must be made. If replaced with the Werebear, the Dragon's current Blaze CA may become the Sorceress's new Firewall, because this spell is more similar to the original D2 Firewall than the current "flame pillar." EDIT: Possible third option: Werebear can be made as an upgraded form to Werewolf, by taking an optional gold modification. Werewolf modifications would have to be reworked. But this would allow all three forms to exist, in a sense. Neither the CA name nor any description text could be changed to Werebear however, it would still be called Werewolf. What are people's thoughts?
  15. Well there's always more neat stuff to add to the Downloads sections besides items. Characters and builds, mods, resources. I'm just happy we've been able to complete the core, a complete items database, a pretty rare thing!
  16. Today marks a huge occasion for the DarkMatters Downloads Section: The items database is finally complete! Yes, now all unique, legendary, and set items (and more!), including those from the expansion and the Community Patch, are now available for download. Thanks to all the previous uploaders who contributed and especially to Hooyaah for his inhuman effort in uploading the remaining 60+ Fallen Angel uniques in the last few days. Amazing!
  17. It's best to do a clean install of the game, then apply the CM Patch. In previous posts, you had talked about making changes to your game install yourself that were messing up installation of the CM Patch. This may also be why uninstallation is not working. The CM Patch enabler and disabler do an integrity check of all the game's files to verify the game version. If you've changed anything they won't function correctly. So, my recommendation is uninstall and do a clean reinstall, and then install the CM Patch on top of that. Then make any changes you want to files, backing them up beforehand so you can restore them to clean state if necessary.
  18. Creature Update # 19: Friendly NPC's part 2 (Re)Introducing you to some more friendly faces you may see in your quest across Ancaria in the next version of the mod. These characters are located in the places you would expect if you played Diablo 2 -- though some are in unexpected spots! I won't spoil the fun of hunting them down by telling the exact location. See if you can guess! Fara "Faith is stronger than any armor. The shield will protect the body, but Faith will strengthen the courageous heart." Charsi "I'm a little jealous, I wish I could go off adventuring with you." Qual-Kehk "So, you still live. You're either quick or a coward." Asheara "Things are getting wilder than Ladies Night at the Slippery Fist." Anya "We are a people of strong blood. I shall do what I can and let fate do the rest." Kaelan "Stay out of trouble." Malah "Be cautious, warrior. Though I am an experienced healer, resurrection is beyond my powers." Natalya "I've heard of your exploits and... I'm quite impressed." Deckard Cain "Stay a while, and listen!" Huuuuuge thanks to Pesmontis who converted these models to be used in Sacred 2. I think he's done outstanding work and there's even more exciting things to come!
  19. I've had minimal crashing, but it's always in the same few places. Grunwald Forest, Field of Eternal Pain, and one or two other spots. This is across multiple gaming rigs and OS's. I think there are some spots that are just kind of glitchy. That being said, that's pretty much the only crashing and freezing I've ever had, so I think I'm in the lucky bunch. My number 1 complaint is SLOWDOWN. I get it really bad in crowded cities. Now I have a good graphics card and lots of memory, so I think it might be a CPU bottleneck issue. Do other people get slowdown when they're running through crowded cities like Griffinborough? It's not a constant low framerate, it's a severe stuttering where the game hitches, then catches up back up to 60FPS, then back down to 15 and back up again. Like the game just can't produce everything in time. I don't think the CM Patch would have either a positive or a negative effect on overall performance or stability. Many severe bugs and errors were fixed, but nothing that was causing crashing or freezing AFAIK. That's just my 2 cents.
  20. Yes. One you get skill mastery the game literally calls on a completely different tooltip with more information.
  21. Hmm. It's not just that she's naked. She's completely missing the right base skin textures as well, judging by the red eyes. What's your character level? Have you changed between low/high/elite textures? Made any other modifications to any files? Installed any other mods? I see you're using Tiny Items. Did you install that mod "as is" or did you alter iteminfo.txt yourself to resize all the items? EDIT: Hang on, did she come in contact with T-Energy? Every creature has a "tenergy_creature_id" line which defines what kind of thing they mutate into. For summons I've been sure to keep the id the same as the main creature entry, so T-Energy can't mutate them. However creatures I made very early on may have slipped by my notice since I wasn't as keenly aware of this parameter. The Valkyrie is one such creature. She is scripted to mutate into a Dark Stalker (Harbinger of Death). I'll fix this for Beta 7. Try leading her into a pool of T-Energy and see if she changes. That will confirm the cause of the bug.
  22. Hello and welcome. That install order is wrong - there will be many errors and bugs. Here is correct install order: Item Mod 1.2a Hotfix Elite Mounts Mod Wardust's Serious Textures Enhanced Spells Mod Sacred 2 undressed Mod ESM - undressed Mod Patch Sacred 2 Fog Mod (this is only mod where order doesn't matter, it can literally go anywhere in the list, first or last) There will be lots of overwrite warnings of course, but with this install order everything will work correctly. Flix's Music Mod and Boss Arena could also go anywhere within that setup. Just make sure Wardust's mod is the one I uploaded to Sacred2Nexus. The original one he released is--and I say this with love--a big hot mess full of bugs. You may have seen different instructions on older downloads or threads. This was before I updated everything and initiated cross-compatibility between all mods -- as much as possible anyway. If you see some instructions written somewhere else that contradict the install order above let me know so I can address it.
  23. Thanks for the heads-up. I've just done a preliminary comparison between the Druid's bonus Aspect: Nature Summons +X and the Necromancer's Aspect: Dark Summons +X bonuses. And you're right, it does seem that there's some kind of imbalance. The Necromancer's bonus appears in 20 different bonusgroups across a range of item types and tiers, while the Druid's corresponding bonus only appears in 2 bonusgroups! It may be that when I look at the other bonuses to aspects, individual CA's, and aspect skills, I could find the same lack. If so, I have my work cut out for me. Bonusgroups are long boring lists of numbers and there are a lot of bonuses to distribute to the proper places. I can only imagine this oversight must have been due to Ascaron rushing out Ice and Blood. This is definitely not something I caused.
  24. Hello. Do you have any other mods installed? Duration is fixed at 15 seconds. I'll add it to the tooltip. Its movement speed is out of my control, and can't be changed AFAIK. This thread is a catch-all for general development so questions on mixed topics are fine here, but feel free to use the individual threads for the character classes if you have specific questions about them or other specific topics (enemies, items, divine gifts).
