I worked for a utility company for several years and would often find myself in neighborhoods where owners would have pets which were poorly cared for. Many had no water left in their water bowls on days which were well over 38°C. I would refill their empty bowls and later warn the owners. One day I encountered several mange-affected dogs fettered by long, thick chains. They were so badly affected by peeling skin that I felt that I had no choice; I contacted county animal control. There are laws which protect animals. But sadly, there are few infractions which are reported to authorities.

The cold weather is rolling in to Texas, including further south to my area on Monday. The forecast is for a windchill under zero degrees, well-below freezing temperatures and lots of winter precipitation, sleet, freezing rain, and snow! It should warm back up a bit by next weekend.
Snow and ice is rare (except for the panhandle and far north Texas) so that most folks don't know how to drive safely on ice and snow.

I was just so gung ho to get started and used to always having to install a patch that I didn't read page one. Are the Trimmed Elite Textures already included in PFP?

It may be somewhat confusing to others as well, as the Community Patch might be thought of as "the latest official patch."
So then, installing the GOG or Steam version already includes the patch?
Do I need to reinstall the game and start a new character? Or should I "disable" the Patch? I haven't experienced any other unusual issues.

@Flix I recently downloaded the most recent Community Patch and then activated the Purist Fixpack with the Generic Mod Enabler. I am loving the graphics with the Trimmed Elite Textures and the improvements that have been so painstakingly undertaken.
I noticed that the quest Suspicion doesn't trigger. The commander never offers the quest upon completion of the rat infestation.

The picture in the video is a fabrication. However, the video includes actual videos of real whirlpools. One is a huge and regularly occurring aquatic vortex which regularly appears off the coast of Norway. It is capable of swallowing full-size boats.

My daughter and I just finished watching The Polar Express on DVD. It's a yearly tradition. The first year it was released, we all went together. My parents treated us... her, me, and my wife. We have loved the movie and it has been a family tradition ever since that day.
