  1. Hmm, though I don't have the last dlc released for Borderlands, I think Sacred 2 is probably bigger as travel in Borderlands is mostly by the cars in that game, so time taken going from one place to the next is shorter, and much of the travel time is spent just driving to a new quest, grinding mobs won't assist you as much as they all have set levels, they don't level up as you do, so you can easily out level most of the things in game. I never ended the game, like most games I spend more time restarting than finishing. They aren't the same type of game so it is a hard call. The world map in Red Dead Redemption is probably bigger than it. (not that I will buy RDR, I am not a cowboy), and some online mmo's cover multiple universes. Comparing Sacred 2 to an ongoing MMO is just unfair. Sacred 2 development stopped a year ago (excluding Ice and Blood & the CM patch) whereas WOW is still growing because of the profit it makes daily. If Sacred 2 had 14 million or more players still paying Ascaron to play game, things would be different.
  2. This email address might help you out, though Llama8 might have a better idea now.
  3. I normally cannot last that long, but there is one forum type thing I am a member of that I have never posted on for 2 years now. Mainly as I don't want to be proven to be an idiot. Silence doesn't give that clue. Lurking is a great way to learn from other people's mistakes.
  4. Spacebar, it heals you and your escorts.
  5. Its a tough comparison, there is a lot more space in wow since Burning Crusade added an entire new world to play in, and Cataclysm will probably add more. Sacred 2 got 2 new regions in Ice and Blood but that hardly competes. The one thing you can say is most regions in Sacred 2 get used, there are a few in wow that may not be very crowded at the moment (Last time I started a character, the beginning world was a ghost town since every one above level 60 were in the new areas, it was impossible to get any one interested in running many instances before level 50), Desolace might be still living up to its name (though I see it is being redone in next expansion). You can't, as such, run across all of wow as even the basic game is on 2 continents. Car game? You mean GTA4 or JC2? JC2 is a big map but it all gets boring since you can only destroy so many military bases that have the same floor plan. The main quest is too short and can almost be overlooked, Sacred 2 isn't like that at all (length wise anyway, the quest itself is not memorable (I have done campaign tons of times and still don't understand it)).
  6. Perhaps there needs to be a random button on front page to allow people to get a random page on wiki to look at. Pretty sure there is stuff in there I have never seen.
  7. Depending on your pc, phsyx can cause Sacred 2 to crash a lot more than it does if physx is disabled. It does look good with it running, but game looks good enough without it.
  8. I thought it was Alt Z but that doesn't work, I have done a few searches of Sacred International Forum but nothing shows in my search terms. The wiki may have it somewhere but its well hidden. I take it its all the gui and not just the mini map as there are options for transparency in the options menu you get by clicking the buttons in top right hand corner. I am sure it exists, I just can't recall off hand what it is.
  9. There aren't many scarabs outside the desert though there are a few around in various quests. I will keep an eye on them, I have confirmed it is the non champions who have no stats. offtopic: the fist weapons have given me another reason to enjoy having dual wield/sword weapons. Shame both I have need mastery. Are there any uniques?
  10. I haven't played Multi player but I would guess it does. I know the manual mentions the strength of enemies will be higher. See below: That is out of original manual, it has probably changed since then. So if monster level is higher, the drops should be better (provided your survival bonus isn't 0).
  11. I think you have done a great job with this patch. I have noticed that the focus still doesn't update on most quests in that once you do a part of a quest, it doesn't automatically link to next part - this was a bug with Ice and Blood so it is not your fault
  12. I know the patch 2.65.1 fixed them up so they give experience but they aren't very competitive now. Most of them have these stats for me: Whereas some have: I am sure the ones with good stats aren't all champions, it isn't that obvious how it works them out. 1 normal scarab will have stats, the next won't. If all the non champs have no stats, I can understand why they never gave experience originally in Ice and Blood as they are no challenge and might as well not exist. This still happens in the CM patch too. I wonder if its fixable.
  13. Is there a list of the changes/additions made game from patch (in English)? I had never seen Burning liquid before so I assume that was in game somewhere but not an active drop? I assume you didn't change the colour of Niokaste's set as I am sure it was bluer than it is now. I must be dreaming.
  14. It loaded so fast I didn't believe it had worked at first, then the red text and new start showed it had. Then I got: which was unexpected but its nice they swapped the weapon skill to swords. Now just to get mastery.
  15. I remember that one, you do a bunch of quests for guys out at a camp near the river and they send you in there. I too had a close call with said demon the 1st time around and am wary of it now. It is Ice and Blood only. Since cursed forest is a new region added to expansion.
  16. Search is dumb, you need to know the exact term to get a page link. If you search for Weapon Modifications, you get nothing. If you search for Item Modifications, it works as that is right term. Is there a way to fix that? Perhaps link weapon & armor modification searches to items page... or am I asking too much? If you search the index for modifications, it refers to Combat Arts, not item mods. I know how to find the proper link, its just buried in weapon listings in the uniques section. The wiki has heaps of interesting links, its just hard to get to some of them. Is the map of Ancaria on the side heading staying as default map to help non Ice and Blood users? I never noticed the actual Ice and Blood map until today.
  17. I may have to try this patch out, does it also let the Shadow Warrior sets marked as Xbox sets in expansion drop also? Love to find Bergonix too...
  18. It does determine the level of the weapon you equip though. If your dw score is lower than your sword lore, the minute you equip 2 weapons your max level weapon you can equip drops and you would need to use lower level weapons to use 2. I know this as I see it in reverse on my seraphim, if she swaps here two Khandar's Slicers out, her max level in swords drops about 20 lvls below what her dw max level is. True, the swords I have are socketed so the bonus is more than 14 lvls Really good reason to choose DW first and another weapon lore second, if you ever intend to use 2 weapons and have the weapon bonuses active (as that is all you get from 2 weapon lores).
  19. I would think you need the following: Constitution: All life helps, and the regen at mastery is a nice helper Concentration: so you can use GR DW Focus: for mod points in GR & raise its maximum level. Without GR or constitution, you may run low on life and RE can only do so much. Last skill is your choice, toughness is nice but so is Combat reflexes. Combat Discipline is good too but there aren't that many combos that require 3 Combat Art's You could go without DW focus, as Tactics gives mod points in both DW & MC trees. I haven't tried a single aspect SW yet. Not sure you need spell resistance.
  20. That is ok, I forgot the paste it into paint part. Follow mine and he will have a blank white screen The beauty of the game and all the extra little things you can stumble across are what make playing game so much fun. I am still finding new things after over a year playing it.
  21. The main problem I think is the files are saved as TGA files and may be harder to find than say JPG would be, Mine are in a folder d:\Pictures\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2 but yours might be different. Also fact they are all called Bigx.tga may make them harder to track down. The x value increases by 1 for every photo you have (mine is at 441, so its big_0441.tga) What I always do is after hitting print screen, I alt tab to desktop, open paint and save the file with a name that means something to me, and save it to a different location. Then I can edit it using a program like ACDSee and post the edited version to my photobucket account and then post the link here or on SIF
  22. I played for several hours yesterday and got no crashes. I can see the grass being drawn around me but I can live with that. Grass was main reason I bought a GTX260 but that was in another game (Age of Conan) and being able to see grass in that game made it an entirely new experience. Its close in this but game is pretty ncie to look at without it. I don't mind the ctd after exiting game as characters are saved by then, its the ones you get after playing 4 hours and knowing you have to redo that area again (though quests are saved, items tend to disappear). My seraphim should be doing the Dragon caves but after a crash a few weeks ago, I just don't feel like it (and that place is somewhere you have to want to do) and have been killing things in Grunwald. Have to move on soon or I will outlevel a few regions (this usually happens after the swamp)
  23. Curious now how much the weapon lore affects the level of weapons you can equip, the wiki mentions both do increase it but they don't spell out exactly how many skill points you need to boost the level. I suspect its every 5 skill points = 1 level raised above your level. My seraphim can use level 105 Dual wielding anything & same in sword lore (but as Dw is at Mastery & sword lore is level 20 with bonuses, I can't really test it). It would be interesting to see what happens.
  24. Almost glad I am too stupid to understand the numbers and just work it out as I go. Sounds like a mod would be ideal for this, to alter the amount reduced each level, as not everyone has the time to get to 200 (though if I had stuck to 1 character, I might be close by now). It probably wouldn't work in closed though, but what does it matter what people do to themselves in Single player.
