  1. So it's kinda sorta spring up here in Canada... warm enough that the snow is melted and we can start to do some yard work, anyways. So we head down to the local Canadian Tire for some yard work supplies (your basic hardware store, for those that don't know). While we're there we decide to stop at the "Burger Shack" that's perpetually located in the parking lot. It's ran by this older local fellow who's well known for cooking and such. Here's what the place looks like: I decided to try the Greek Burger combo... never had it before, I like greek food... so why not? Here's what I got: This thing has local fresh Lamb patty, feta cheese, black olives, homemade relish, pickles, tomatoes, carmalized and fresh onions, and olive oil... and probably some other tasty stuff I'm forgetting. Absolutely awesome! The smell.... ah! I could eat this stuff all day... soooo good! Oh, and here's the poutine that my significant other grabbed: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?s=...t&p=6883401 All in all, an absolutely fantastic lunch. Gotta love Canadian food!
  2. This one's from a local burger shack that we just went to for lunch. Excellent stuff:
  3. Isn't this just tethering over USB? If it is, you may want to check and make sure your plan supports this... you could very well wind up with a hefty bill for the data you use otherwise. Typically, most providers don't support multiple mac addresses from non-mobile devices on their network. They usually have a clause in their contracts that say stuff like unlimited browsing for "on-device browsing" and so on... just a heads up, in case you weren't already aware of it.
  4. I'll wait for the next version... hopefully we'll have multitasking and a camera by then. Plus there should be a hell of a lot of apps for this thing too...
  5. On console these rings are easy as pie to find at lower levels... although the damage bonus is negligible. I have yet to see any with decent additional stats though. Even a small damage boost from these rings can be pretty noticeable when dual wielding.
  6. I really like this thread, gives me hope that I might still find an illusive legendary item yet! Golddigging on console would be awesome... I'm always trying to see how hard I can push my brand new characters and I think this would be a great reason to do some boss runs.
  7. Yes, what was the original link, gogo? Haha! I haven't yet watched the last two seasons of Lost, but I thoroughly enjoyed the first four seasons. I'll wait until the last season releases on DVD and pick up the rest of the seasons then. I'm hoping they've cleared up some of the questions... like what the hell the smoke monster dealio is all about and all that...
  8. Too bad this doesn't work under OS X. I have Diablo 2 installed on my harddrive still... fantastic game!
  9. Seems that I missed out on all of this conversation! Yeah, it's been available for download in the US and Canada since March 16th. I haven't picked it up yet... I hear physical copies are available at retail (probably at a universally lower price), so I may go that route. Mind you, I like not having to swap discs, so maybe I'll suck it up and pay for the digital version. Yeah, it's pretty much Baldur's Gate with simplified class skill/ability trees and far better production values. Not a bad thing... although I like Baldur's Gates 50+ classes and 350+ spells much better!
  10. I'm seriously considering passing on this just due to the price tag. On the 360, it's 3200 points... which is like $55. Seeming as you can't buy the exact amount of points, you'll wind up spending more money just to buy it. Too bad too, since the original was a really solid RPG. Anybody else gonna get this? I hear it's $10 cheaper on PC....
  11. The timed eatings I had mentioned a page or two back was specifically for the ridiculously large hamburger. Not sure if anybody does something similar with poutine... although that would be awesome! Until you got tired of sodium, at any rate... I think I would need a better health insurance package before I tackled either of those meals... yikes. Can't imagine paying for those. Think of the doggy bag!
  12. ...and I lasted a whopping 5 months! Woot... Just got back from quitting my job. That's the first time I've ever done that without having something better to move on to. Yikes. What can I say? Night shift + 2 year old daughter = Epic Fail. I value the time with my family far more than the sub-par wage, no doubt about it. Ah well. Off to find another day job!
  13. I'm not sure what the HP regen for GI with 200 runes is, but it has to be a hell of a lot more than what I was pushing with my low level Dryad. I only had a single ruin on GGT, and with the mod point I think the HP regen was at 61HP per second... which is really low considering how high it can get. As far as my Shadow Warrior goes, I didn't used Shadow Veil at all... I just went toe to toe with him chugging whatever potions I had found and using summoned skeletons and Skeletal Tower to drop his health. Pretty dicey for a bit there though... I think I've only fought that boss a total of maybe three times now. His energy shield is a bit of a pain. Other than that, he's not too tough. Probably a pain in the ass at higher difficulty levels though. seraphim's have a ridiculous amount of shield protection if built right. Not much at lower levels, but for the long game they're nuts.
  14. I have yet to get anywhere near high enough level to have these kinds of results... gives me something to look forward to though!
  15. You're welcome, gogo! Always happy to help. I too started playing when I was much younger, and just never quit... It's a fantastic game, if you can wrap you brain around all of the rules and mechanics (it does eventually become instinctive, like anything else you do repeatedly). This game is pretty much a culmination of everything that I like about video games + a little extra. It's a huge creative outlet that allows for basically limitless customization and is almost infinitely expandable. Plus there's a very big social element to it as well (I've met some of my best friends through playing this game). And hey, if I were to ever become really good at the game (or really dedicated haha!) I could alway take a stab at the Pro Tour and wind up like this guy:
  16. Sorry gogo, the word "broken" is a slang term. Definition of broken: "In reference to a game (e.g. video game or collectible card game,) "broken" implies there is some rule, character, method of play, or specific card that wields so much power it effectively "breaks" the game." The card shown here is potentially broken in that, at a minimum, it lets you draw four cards when you play it (this is really good and works in any color, since the card is colorless to play). For reference, each player only draws one card per turn normally, so this card puts you ahead by four turns right away. If the card makes it to the table and isn't somehow killed, your opponent has to sacrifice four cards in play each turn it attacks (also really good!). If your opponent manages to kill this card, you get to shuffle all of your discarded or dead cards back into your deck, including this card itself (also really good!). It has 12 power and 12 toughness, which is really big and hard to kill (for reference, players life totals start at 20 in this game, so this creature is HUGE)... So if I were to play this card and attack with it once, I'm guaranteeing myself an advantage of 8 cards to 1 (the four cards I drew plus the four cards my opponent is loosing when I attack in exchange for the one card that I played). In terms of game theory, this is rock solid. The only downside of this card is that it costs 10 mana to play. That's easy enough to get around, and like I said... you can play this dude in any deck, regardless of color. Also, the game has all kinds of cards that allow you to "cheat" cards like this into play, in order to get around paying 10 mana. Long story short: Pretty broken.
  17. Welcome to the forum, BuddhaKhan! Hope you manage to make it all the way through the game this time... there's a ton of great info and ideas on these boards, so enjoy the resources! Also, don't forget about the Sacred Wiki!
  18. You actually have a total of 10 skill slots available to you once you hit level 65, so you can probably knock a bunch of those skills down to 75 (mastery) and use those extra points on something else.
  19. So you're looking to trade for EP rings? Why not just buy them from a vendor? They're fairly common at shops if you have even a few points put into the Bargaining skill.
  20. Also good to know! Although I'm finding that switching from ranged to melee isn't nearly as responsive as it should be... might just have to stick with ranged only. I was considering taking shield lore and using shurikens (throwing daggers aren't usable by Dryads, despite what the wiki says), but from looking at the shurikens available to my higher level seraphim, I don't think it's really worth it. Nothing really special about them, unlike the instant hit from Blowpipes and such.
  21. I haven't tried a rider build yet. Is there anything in particular that makes them special? Not being able to use buffs seems like a big deal.
  22. Yes... those guardians are pretty sneaky! I guess that's the catch though, making sure our builds are well rounded enough to not be completely dependent on one particular skill throughout the whole game.
  23. Oh. Well... I guess that's better than nothing, although it does seem kinda pointless. A lot of people already do boss runs just for the item drops, so it's not like we needed another excuse to kill these bosses over and over again. Still, can't complain about free XP.
  24. Yeah, they do a good job on the artwork for sure. Um... what happened to the pic that was there? Eh... I'll fix that.... Fixed!
  25. Does that mean that all of the bosses have a specific quest attached to them now? That would be pretty cool.
