  1. Free time is something I am not gonna have, I am very happy with it, though. But if I get any drawing done, be sure that I'll be posting it here. Thanks for the good wishes dear friend and I wish all the best for you too.
  2. B2 (used for the line art) B4 (used for the re-enforcing the line art -where needed- and for lighter shading) B6 (used for the stronger shading and also to help with the blending of tones) A good way of using this combination (when shading) is by starting with B2 laying the indicial lighter color shading, then add a bit of B4 to darken the parts that should have a median shading, finally use the B6 to fill in the very dark areas. Remember not to apply too much pressure to your pencils. So, that you can avoid unwanted marks. Also, for blending the colors you can use; blending stumps, tortillos, chamois cloth. Unfortunately, however, I did not have any of them so I used… my wife’s make up brush to blend the colors. Then, after she got upset with me I gave up on her make up kit and took her painting brushes. So as you can see we can always get around the absence of a tool and yet achieve a nice result. * Do not use your fingers to blend colors… Our skin has oils that can damage the quality of the paper and with it the drawing. However, feel free to experiment with all the pencils and tool available as soon as you are able to get them. There is a big variety of them so you can try them all and see what brings better results. I think that the secret of drawings is held by those who know how to use the tools they got to get the best possible results. Though, don’t let excuses stop you from drawing… Excuses just keep us from achieving our goals in life. Remember, all what we need to draw… we already have within ourselves, so let us use it. I hope that I answered your question my friend. Oh! besure that I would love to see one of your drawings.
  3. Dear friends, I'll be posting here everytime I have to go in vacation mode. Please, feel free to use this thread as well to notify your fellow community friends of your absence, so that we all know what is going on with you and don't get worried. Dear friends, I also would like to add that, I am going on vecation. As you know I live in Thailand and my family lives in Brazil. So, I'll be going to visit them. However, the place where I am going we don't have much iternet cafe available. Due to that I won't be able to post till the nex 5th of January 2009. So, I take this opportunity to wish you all my dear Dark matter Friend a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I truly wish that you and your loved ones go into the New Year with lots of reasons to smile and be happy. Love you all Rss
  4. For those of you who did not see it at Sacred wiki... here it is.
  5. Here is the final steps for our tutoring. As you can see, what I did here was to improve each drawing by correcting mistakes and erasing lines that should not be there till finally it got the look I wanted. 1) I used a pencil (B2) and an eraser to go from steps 1 up to step 5. (Seeing in the pictures in previous posts) 2) After that, I used tracing paper for creating the armor and clothes and to join them to the body of the drawing eliminating the parts I did not need. 3) Finally, I used a light box to add details and shadows and to get the final look you can see below. I also used tracing paper to cover the parts I was not drawing on, in order not to durty the drawing. For the final drawing I used pencils B2, B4, B6. For creating this tutorial I used a light box. However, if you are planning to make your own tutorial, you can record the steps as your drawing develops instead of waiting to do it once the drawing is done. Here is the finished drawing. Well, I think that is all for now.
  6. Yes, you got it right. It is also very helpful to keep you drawings clean. As you are working on a drawing your hand sometimes dumage or get the drawing dirty in areas that should be white. So you can use it to protect your drawing while you are working on it and at the same time to have a full view of the part covered by the tracing paper. As for design composition of clothes, armors and almost anything... it is a very a good help. Of course if you can have a light box that would make you life easier, but that is much more expensive. Anyway, I'll be getting into more detales soon. Also, with some pictures on how to get it done. P.s. Dear Schot, Thank you very much for all the care you are having with me. Actually, you and Gogo are really two amazing people, which make me honored to be a member in the same wonderful community as you. Not only you guy, but also the other members have the power to make me feel at home here. Concerning my drawings… I will not pretend here that I am a professional for I am not. However, I am taking the learning very serious and little by little I’ll get there. As I go learning, I’ll share everything with you guys and with it you will be able to see my Art work improving as I go. If I had more time I would be able to get faster results and post more drawings. Though, one have to put all the excuses aside in order to active any goal in life. So, I be always putting the best of me into my drawings for I am drawing for friends… For you Schot… For you Gogo… For you Telari… For you Nervous… and all the other members of this so unique community. Many of you I have known for many years from other forum. I hope to one day be able to meet you all in person. I sincerely thank you for having created this section as it gives me more inspiration to draw and to share my drawings with you guys. Best regards, Rss
  7. I think he is the smallest gladiator of all... A very funny drawing indeed. An army of those little glads would be an interesting view. Also, for cartoon animation, it would be very interesting. Imagine the arsenal of weapons this little glad can keep under his beard. You know, in cartoon everything is possible.
  8. Yes, Gogo. It is all me. Here is one more and as you can see I have added the armor and clothes to the character. How to do that? Once you have done the character's body you can use a tracing paper to design the armor and clothes. That will make it easier for you to correct any mistakes. Actually, a tracing paper (as shown in example 6) is very useful and better than that is a light box. However, a light box is more expensive. So, tracing paper comes handy. In example 7 we can see it all together. As you can see the character is getting shape. Now we are close to the end, but if you can't wait to see the final drawing you can have a pick at the original drawing at Sacred wiki "S1 Fan Art".
  9. Thanks dear Schot for the help. Please, feel free to do as you wish. As for the title you can name it as you think is best. I'll be posting more drawings to be added to it soon. By the way, I hope you all are having a very nice weekend.
  10. "Angel falls first" I love this one too.
  11. Now, we get the model 3 (skeleton) and we work on it as can be seen below: Yes, we are in the right direction, let us see where we can get with it.
  12. As we can see in the previous post.... It is going to be an Dark elf fighting a Dragon. For now let us concentrate on the Dark elf, then, once we are done with him we do the Dragon. Following the same idea of the original sketch (previous post), we keep his pose and from a simple center line we build the skeleton of the fugure. As can be seen below: Din't get your percil yet? Come on... try it, it is gonna be fun.
  13. Ok, let us move on on this and have some fun! Get a pencil and let us draw. First we start with a very super basic drawing as can be seeing below: Please, don't laugh! I will make it look better soon, but this is from where we start.
  14. No, that is not what I meant... Wherever one goes in Sacrewiki, the navegation panel remains the same. Showing always the categories below: Search Navigation sacred 2 sacred Toolbox Within each category we can see their subcategories. Like in "Sacred 2" as can be seen below: sacred 2 Fallen Angel Characters Combat Arts Mounts Fan Art <------ (here we have it... A link to the Sacred 2 fan Art) Video Garden Above we can see the words "Fan art", but in the category Sacred there is no direct link to it as can be seen below: sacred Underworld Characters Combat Arts Enemies Items Runes <----------- (Here we don't have any "Fan art" for sacred) As the navegation panel is always there no matter where we go in winki it, is very easy to find the Fan Art section at the Sacred 2. However, the new link to Sacrad Fan art (In my opinion) is not so easy to find. Well, I hope you understood what I mean. Anyway, it does not matter... The important is that the page is already created and I know where it is. So, I'll be posting my drawing there. Thank you my friend.
  15. What a trap you set to me. I followed the link and there it was... But I got all the codes right... I hope. Well, The page is already done. However, How do I add a link to at the Sacred section? As you know, when we get to the Wiki main page we see: Search Navigation sacred 2 sacred <------- (How do I add the link - "Fan Art" - to this section? The page is already created, the link to it I don't know how to do.) Toolbox
  16. Thank you my friend! You just brought a smile to my face. Thank you indeed for the nice words. Well, as you know I am still drawing characters from the original Sacred game. When I came here for the first time and visited the Wiki page. I saw that there, there are two sections; one for Sacred 2 and one for Sacred. However, only Sacred 2 has a section for fan art, while sacred has not. I think that Sacred should have a fan art link too just as Sacred 2 has. That would keep things more organized, But I don’t know how to add a link myself or how to create the sacred fan art section there. I also did not want to bother you with that. Anyway, I am almost done with the sacred characters. I have drawn the Battle Mage, the Gladiator, The Seraphim… Now, I am drawing the Dark Elf, then I’ll draw the Wood Elf. But my final drawing is going to have all the Sacred characters together. So, we have more 3 drawings to go and after that I’ll move on to Sacred 2 characters. Then… Finally… I'll start adding my Drawings there. Till now I have just added the seraphim because she is in Sacred 2. However, if you think that there is no problem on mixing the old Sacred characters in a section meant only for Sacred 2... I can add them there, no problem. But I think that it becomes a bit confuse. Well, I think I talk too much! Let us go back to the drawings…
  17. I love Dragons! That is why I have the name Dragon added in my user name. So, when I came here and saw your drawing I was very pleased with the view. Before reading anything I had a nice and long look in the drawing and what I felt of it was.... 1. for me the white was a female and the black was a male. 2. The way they are positioned gives a feeling of closer relationship. 3. Their necks and heads togetter gives the impression of a heart shape, which really enhances the romantic feeling of the drawing. 4. It looks likethat the Male is courting the female. 5. There is no feeling of animosity at all (In my opinion) Then I went reading and after reading your comment I was like... "What!" Well, I guess I completely guessed wrong! Anyway, as usual you have brought to us a beautiful drawing. beautiful! Ps. I completely love you avatar... I can see a lot of you in it!
  18. Hi dear friends! Hope that you all are doing fine. Yes, you got it right... I am back! Now I am going to get back to my drawings right from where I had stopped. Next on the line is "The Dark elf" Soon I'll be post a Drawing of him... I know that you all are with your heads on Sacred 2. Sorry if I am still stuck wth the original sacred and underworld game characters. I'll make some drawings of Sacred 2 as soon as I get the game. For now, however, I'll resume with sacred only. Schot @ Thank you mate. Well, metal is very hard to draw... But I think for a simple drawing that is Ok. Also, it makes it easier for me to get it done. Yes, it is hot! Telariturunen @ All the personall feelings are on every lines that I tried to get right... GogoBlender @ You always get thing right mate. Nervousbreakdown @ Me too... ladies are very hard to draw yet it can be very easy if we like to look at them carefully and closelly, which I do so much. Ok guys, I'll be posting my Drawing soon.
  19. Important Please read. Dear friends, I'll be away for a while. But, don't worry for everything is fine with me. I'll be back as soon as I can. Love you all... Rss.
  20. Well done mate. It seems that he is ready to get into action. Cool!
  21. I got a bit confused about the fangs... In the game she can shifit from the human form to the vampire form. Quite hard for me to show that difference. So, I just added the fangs just to enhance the fact that she is a vamp. It does not look so much cool, but I decided to leave that way.
  22. For those who miss the old Sacred game... Here is our beloved Vampiress.
  23. Wonderful and well balanced.... In my opinion, this is one of your best drawings. I really like it.
  24. First of all you will have to make a copy of the Original picture you want to place there. You then size it to thumbnail size. The one I did for you as can be seen below has 275X200. But you can resize your drawings in the way you think it is going to look better. Once you have donel your little thumbnails and they are well hosted at your file storage place that you use to store your original size drawings, you are ready to go. All you have to do now is to go to Sacred Wiki, log in using your user name and the same password you use to log in Darkmatters. Once you are there, I have added one of your drawings Already (the one I like the most). So, all you have to do is to edit where your name is displayed at the little blue word edit. You will see the following code below, but the thumbnail you see here will be also displayed as a code there. You can then replay my links for your links. Being that the first link is the Original size picture and the second link is the smalled size picture. To check if you did it right, just click at the "Show preview" and you will see a preview of what you have just done. If anithining is wrong you just correct it at the code section and press "Show preview". You can do that till you get it right. To add a new drawing, Just copy the part that is show below as thumbnail (Don't copy your name and the other codes, copy only the codes for the links) and past them below the one you already have posted there. For adding the name just do as the examples below. Everything you do will be only between the last word..... "top" and the sign......... l} the rest remain unchanged. Any doughts you can ask here or you send a Pm to Gogo (he is one of the big brains here) and ask him how to do. Ok, I wish you luck and hope that you get it right. Of course, you can always ask to Gogo if there is an easier to do it. It is better than trying to figure it out on your own like I did. It is terrible! == ''' Nervusbreakdown ''' == <div class="plainlinks"> {|valign="top" width="100%" padding="10px" style="font-size:1em;font-weight:bold;" |-valign="top" |Dryad and the Seraphim |} </div>
  25. Dear Gogo, I added My latest picture to the Sacred Wiki... I think I did not mess anything out, but you can go and check it out just to make sure. All the best Rss
