  1. I want to express my gratitude for awesome job you are doing
  2. Ahh thank you for welcoming me here, I feel happy when and if I can be of some use . I would like to believe that this "template" tehnique still may be usefull to some of older PC online players too, if for nothing than for fast testing before they do it for real online . Having said that, and apologizing in advance for every PC player that already knows that, I would like to share another little discoveries I made. First few days Playing Sacred 2 I have spent fighting with my PC mouse everytime when I wanted to organize stuff I found /bought. Here is what I have learned so far , In addition to already well know Ctrl + left mouse button clicked on item when trading or clearing stuff in your personal inventory for diminished amount of gold compared to when it is done when trading with NPC traders, YOU CAN: SHIFT +Left mouse Button to make an item drop on the ground. This is possible on your personal inventory screen or also in your private section of the chest. (unfortunately SHIFT + left click doesnt work on your shared bellonging part of the chest ) Now, this comes handy especially if you want to clear your personal chest tab from hundreds of small 1 squire-sized items, like rings amulets and other non stackable items. Unfortunately , it dosent work with potions. Workaround for stackable items would be picking (press Left mouse button )those items and and droping (release left mouse button)them outside of storage window ....you drop all needed flasks on the ground and when done you just collect them with "Q". Tehnique that works even faster and is exellent for transfer rings and amulets, and works even when you transfering stuff from shared bellongings part of the chest is simple clicking with Right mouse button.Game will equip that item, but only one ring or amu slots gets replaced and it is always the same. Your untill know weared ring or amulet will be placed somwhere in your personal inventory. Keep him on some easy to find spot ( for example in one of corners in your inventory screen), because if you are about to transfer 1 hundred rings it can easyly "get lost". After that just keep Right mouse clicking on rings / amulets you want to be transfered. Each time you click it will replace previous one on the same slot. When done...just reequip your original current gear belonging ring or amulet. This speeds transfering alot . If you are about to use "template" tehinque , this may also proove to be very handy . Btw did I mentioned that there is one more fil in Root sacred2 directory and it is called chest.sacred2chest ? Well, this is the fil where game saves your present shared bellongings part of the chest, and It can be backuped and save /copy /pasted just the on same way as you can backup your chars. On this way you can organize your shared chest to have multiple different collections for example only starting gear, or gear around level 30, or only +all skills rings and amulets or whatever you like. You can even make a Class related collections. Thanks for reading and have a fun Ellder
  3. Hello everyone ( this is my first post on this forum, so I humbly ask you to forgive me any errors and mistakes, English is not my native languige ) Let me first present my self, I am an almost 50 years old (young) man (child) that got fascinated by Sacred 2. I am even more fascinated by creativity, knowledge, advices and guildes I found on this forum and you deserve all compliments. Now back to to the business...HOW to SAVE your preciouse time and get chance to explore every possible build in this game. This will be guide for Single Player and ,although, some things might work the same way on some kinds of multyplayer I would rather not go there, not yet ... . We gonnna use save // copy // paste of saved chars files to make a backups, and after we make a backups we could utilize them in a few very cool ways. The most time saving way would be to make a "class template char" and save it at any desirable number of saved lvls.I making backup after each gained level. and even before boss fights. One template char would be, ideally, a char played with only 1 rune in every CA invested , Skills- no single point invested, and attributes no single point invested. However, If you already have shopper or any other high level supporting char you might use his services trough shared belongings tab in your chest. Making a + to combat arts gear is very advicable, mainly because casting buffs in such gear and after casting re-equiping back to your normal fighting gear will make your playing life a lot easyer - especially while playing "templates". Let's imagine, we leveled our template char up to level 80. After we saved it we will be able to reload it as many time we wish and spec it every time differently. So basicaly you will be cappable to explore countless builds without need to play trough first 80 lvls. How high you wish to go with templates is up to you, but higher levels templates will save you more time . I will give you some more ideas a bit later, first let me explain how are templates made and handled after. Sacred 2 saves your char into two separate files called Sacred2save-fil and sacred2stats-fil they are named the same, it will be always hero followed by number , like hero01 -Sacred2save-fil and hero01 - sacred2stats-fil. I assume that you already have some saved chars lets say 20 , if you gonna make a new char it will be saved as hero21. If you want to see (I did ) under what numbers are hiden rest of your chars you can right-click on sacred2stat-fil and open it with notepad.Somwhere at the beggining you will be able to see the name of char. After you've discovered the name connected with number, you may exit notepad and create a new folder and name it Character backups..or ay other name you like.(btw, don't bother with changing anything within Notepad-you can't hack your char into level 200 just by retyping it ) Inside that folder you create new folder and give it a same name of char you want to take a backup. Backuping and recalling your chars will be main tehnique. Another cool thing is that you can backup your char at any time..let's say you are in front of nasty boss just before engaging it, your survival bonus is 90% and you are not sure what outcome of fight will be. Simple, press F9, -this will save game at your present location...than Alt+tab and use explorer to reach newly saved fil ( on my computer it looks like... E:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Mine dokumenter\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2 ) just copy both files with a same number like hero03 save and hero03 stat-fil and paste it in some new by you created folder called "before X... fight"..or name it whatever you like.. on my computer it looks like...E:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Mine dokumenter\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2\Dryad templates\level 61\Unlocked - before the last fight If you are not sure where your saved game files are...use "search" on your computer and search for word hero01.. If you die not a big deal...exit the game but only up to loading char screen...no need to fully exit game.....than Alt+tab and go to your last- before the boss fight folder...copy those 2 files...and paste them into Sacred2 root folder...replace old ones...go back to your game to your char -load it,and you will be exsactly at the same place where you saved the game before..in front of the boss....only thing you should care is-to rebuff your self again and adjuste you tactic. For boss fights is advicable to keep your only for buffing + to all CAs gear in your personal inventory. The very same tehnic can be used as an tehnic for duping a some nice rings amulets or whatever you like, only this time you will need to use Shared bellongings. Process looks like this...first save with "F9" your present char with desired item in personal inventory. Alt tab..and copy that hero..and create new folder where you will paste newly saved file. After that..alt back to game...and now leave that item into shared bellongings and than exit the game ( only up to loading char screen). Alt + tab to last placed backup saved files-----copy them...and paste them in root sacred2 folder- replace old saved fils there. Log back into game and you will have two same items..one in your back and another in your shared belongings....you can repeate this proces if you want to multiply even more your items (usefull when multiplying some +all skills amulets and rings or + all Ca amulets, no sure if rings with + all ca on them spawns.... It takes some time to backup but it certainly takes less than if you try to Bargain the same number of +all level rings and amulets. Note for players that are new to this game : Having socketed +all skills socketed on all possible gear helps on shoper char. This tehnic can help you even if you don't have any supporting char from before. You can use your template char at any level... log on your template and start to transforming it to, let's say shoper. Just assign all needed skill points into bargain, get some + bargain relics and pres F9. Beofore you start shoping save your newly made char and paste it into new folder (you have to create and name new folder ) it will be saved with all gold you had on this char..name it something like shoper level xx. When yoy are done with shoping pres again F9 and copy saved files from root folder into another new folder ( you need to make your folders your self:) name it storage 1 or whatever you like). When you are out of gold just reload your first saved shoper files and repeat the process . Stuff I found worth "duping" ----Mentor pots are on first place..no need to explain why However, If you choose to use this tehnic, be warned that some bosses could be quite hard because your template is fighting with only level 1 skills and no modded level 1 Combat Arts. Way to higher lvls may feel much harder and slower because of that, but once you got your template up to by you desired level, time saving is tremendous (think of how much time would take to level up to level 100 - 1 hundred differend builds? or 2 hudred?...you may experiment even with wildest possible combinations without fear that afer 3 days you gonna just discover that your build sucks in Niob. However, if you like leveling from level 1 every your char just forget this little guide..or you may use it just for backuping your chars? At the end, this tehnic may by many be considered as a cheeting, so if you are one of those ,feel welcome to not to use it. No harm done. This tehnic is not invented by me, it was // is used on Single player Diablo II so I am not responsible and not deserving any credit save for sharing this knowledge with you. If any creative thinking was involved from my side it was introduction of Clas "template chars" If my post doesn't get deleted as an offence to forum rulles, I may add a few more practical advices that involves organising your saved templetes // shopers and storage chars. By than Thanks for your time spent reading this and I wish you Happy playing , and as soon I am done with my Single Player explorations I hope I will see you and play with some of you online. Ellder
