  1. I can agree with you on the Morrowind theme. Haven't heard the music in Killzone 3 and the other ones though. What are some of your favourite film scores then? Mine must be: A clockwork orange Apocalypse Now Blade Runner Blue Velvet Bronson Conan the barbarian Dario Agento's "Tenebre" and "Suspiria" Das Boot Dune Lawrence of Arabia The Clint Eastwood "Money"-trilogy The Shining .. and generally anything done by Vangelis. The main theme from Das Boot, in case you haven't heard it yet:
  2. Some time ago, I realized that videogames are a goldmine for music-lovers like me. Share your all-time favourites here. Perhaps the song has a sentimental value to you, or maybe you just think it's very good. I'll go ahead and post a few of mine for starters: This is a song from the submarine combat game "Critical Depth" from 1997. It was made for Playstation by the same people who made Twisted Metal. This game didn't catch on as well as the TM series, but it has a soundtrack that makes up to it by FAR! Another favourite of mine. Medievil, from 1998. This game is Playstation's answer to Nintendo's Castlevania. It features an AMAZING soundtrack, as well as the best graphics you'll ever see in a Playstation game. Dark and gothic, but at the same time cartoonish and comical: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9SW_-gDENY&fmt=18 To another game with great music: Heroes of might and magic 3, released in 1999. This game was often cast aside by true RPG and strategy fans for being turn based. It was one of the first PC-games I owned, and I loved every minute of it! Even though I was really bad at it, I loved to stay in the towns listening to the background music that represented each of them. It features highly detailed old-school graphics and very atmospherical music. This is the theme for the Rampart town. They are one of the good guys, which is reflected by the calm and soothing music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFs5nYHejDU&fmt=18 Here is the theme for the Inferno town. These are one of the bad guys, as you can clearly hear with the threatning and dramatic music. (Notice satan himself looking all grim in the background) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6LO1ZSzdmQ&feature=related&fmt=18 I hope you liked these, and I hope you share some of yours with me.
  3. Wow, thank you ^^

I thought all of you had forgotten about me.

I was seconds away from crying ;)

  4. Yeah, good job dude. Haven't seen you around here before. Nice to see more people playing the game =P The rules state that if you get one right, you can post your own set of pics. So if you want to post any, just go ahead.
  5. Wow, Chattius. Despite all the info, I can't seem to find the name of this movie. I guess I haven't really seen that many old films. Anybody else has an answer?
  6. I actually have a cooling pad. A real nice looking one with three fans and blue LED lights. It does it's main job, which is lifting the computer a couple of inches so that air can move more freely. I have also cleared the fan for dust. This is very frustrating, as I bought this laptop about two years ago at a quite high price. Will the same thing happen if I switch back to Vista? (which is my laptop's default OS)
  7. You got it right, Chattius! Do you want to post some new pics now?
  8. Not sure if I got all that, Chattius. I just wanted to eliminate the CPU downclocking so that my games will work. I don't mind the fan noise. Isn't the fan supposed to cool your CPU without killing the speed?
  9. Ah, now, this is gonna stun you then: My laptop is always plugged in. I can choose between "Active" which will increase fan speed before slowing down processor, and "Passive" which will slow down processor before increasing fan speed.
  10. After alot of research and some lucky turn of events, I finally managed to identify the problem that have caused me so much grief as a gamer. I have a laptop with somewhat limited power. Still, I like playing games like Battlefield Heroes, Sacred 2, etc. After playing 10 minutes of either game, my computer steps up and says "NO!" The issue presents itself in the shape of FAST fan speed and a great decrease in MHZ. The main problem lies with Windows 7. In the advanced power options, you can go to "Processor power management" and then "System cooling policy". There you will see that if "active" it will "decrease fan speed before slowing the processor". I repeat: Slowing the processor. Would ANY gamer want that as an option? This has cause me much grief when running a number of games on my laptop. Is there any way to increase fan speed WITHOUT downclocking the CPU? (any help here would be MUCH appreciated)
  11. Wolfie, wrong answer Wolfen looks cool, Chattius. Second hint: It's a russian movie
  12. Alright, I don't want to post any hints yet. Let's see just how much you people know about movies. Anyone else?
  13. Alright guys and gals, let's see if you can work this one out:
  14. All are correct, Brilliant movies all of them. Take it away, Steve.
  15. That's what I mean with cute cartoon Easy: Medium: Hard: (I know they're not too hard.)
  16. The rules say that I am to post next, but if you want a go, Chattius, be my guest.
  17. Easy: Kick-Ass Hard: No clue. Looks like a cute cartoon though ^^
  18. Well, tell your friends to buy you a kitchen/cleaning game then. Everybody's happy, hahahah!
