Taken out by Temple Guardian

Last night my level 65 seraphim was taken out by one of the traps of a Temple Guardian in the Great Machine. Does anyone know what kind of damage they do? I'm running Battle Stance at roughly level 50, and have Armor Lore, Combat Reflexes, Constitution and Toughness(All between 55-70 with soft skill points) as defensive skills. What can I do to mitigate the damage I took?

They do magic damage even if they look red, equip your arcane relics and be sure to move around a lot in areas that have TG's.

Yeah, I am hearing both magic and fire over on the international forums. I was trying to rush through and finish gold before bed and I now realize I still had three Ice relics equipped from the Fen Fire in the jungle. I'll throw on three Magic and Fire and give it a shot tonight. Thanks.
