dalion 0
Hello one and all, I'm new the game and to the community, so please bare with me. I play on the PS3 and I'm liking it so far. I've only got about 20ish hours of game play on a single character, and about 10ish on 2 other lower leveled characters. Interestingly enough, I found the wiki site AFTER playing those hours, and have come to realized that I have majorly messed up my characters. Hehe, silly of me honestly. But through those hours of game play, I've gained enough basic knowledge with the gameplay. And with reading through the guides in these forums, I was able to enjoy the game even more so. But I've got a simple newb question. Looking through the various character set images in the wiki site, it has come to my attention that ALL all the items in the console versions are "white-named". According to the wiki site, it is safe to assume that the higher quality items would be color coordinated. Apparently, those images were taken from the PC version. I had no idea the console version and PC versions were different. So my question is this. How do you tell the difference between the quality of items? I'm sure the star ratings in the item icon has something to do with it, but what do they mean? Does no stars = junk? Does 1 star = higher quality junk? I have no idea please help? Link to comment
ka243 3
Info in the guide in my sig for console users about this. Item quality levels are denoted by stars rather than colors on consoles. 0 stars = normal item (white on PC) 1 star = Magic item (bule on pc) 2 stars = Rare item (yellow on PC) 3 stars = Set or Unique item (green or gold on PC) 4 stars = Legendary item (orange on PC). locolagarto 15
As KA243 has spelled out the the Star system is honestly easier to follow than the PC system. more stars equals better mods. the majority of items I would consider worth keeping are gonna be 3 -star. although oucan find nice 2-star items out there in drops or merchants. 3-star will only come from drops. 0-star is usually junk. 1- star is gonna be better junk as u put it. And the difficulty level ( gold, platinum, niob) will increase the value of the mods you can find on different items. niob 1-star item is better junk than Bronze 2-star in some cases. Link to comment
