Odd-Multiplayer experience

Hey folks, my brother and I wanted to level some toons together and we made characters on closed net. The trouble we are having is with looting things. I am a Seraphim and him a Shadow Warrior yet sometimes only he can pick up the Seraphim items and I'm able to pick up Shadow Warrior items but can't give them to him. Is their something we are doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is it even possible for two people to level toons together?

Hopefully someone can give me some insight on this. I just doesn't seem right that I wouldn't be able to pick up Seraphim items as a Seraphim. Is their some kind of loot settings we need to tweak?

Simply trade them - ctrl+click on your brother's toon and exchange them. The loot is random, so it's normal for this to happen.

 

If that doesn't work, drop them on the ground, wait for the safe time to expire (there will be "item will be released in X seconds line) and pick it up.
