I agree with this on a very large scale. However I don't see it as radical as he does.

But where I live, lotsa companies use that ROWE model. We really dont care when, how, where, with whom, whatever you do it, just get it done, and you get payed.

Works really well in most companies.

Here is another real life example of what the presenter was talking about -- where creativity and synergy trump materialism and individuality. It is a very Eastern way of thinking, and the West has a lot of catching up to do. And it shows the power of fandom, the power of "working" for pleasure. It starts with a unique piece of software, and explodes into something that in no way could have been predicted :pitcher:
