Annoying Customers/Staff

Recommended Posts

Well I had a pretty bad night tonight but I'd like to know if anybody else has had similar experiences within the service industry? It doesn't matter if they were either internal or external customers.

My biggest annoyance tonight was that a customer lost the plot after losing $200 on my Blackjack table. He went off his head swearing his guts off at me and swearing at other people as well - saying the whole game is rigged and such. He threatened to punch the security officers' lights out if we didn't give him his money back and thus the cops were called in. They put him in lock-up for 24 hours I think and I had to make a statement. Oddly enough throughout the whole 5 minute ordeal, the woman next to him lost about $18000 while I was there and didn't really care. She told him to stop whinging about $200 and she copped an earful as well.

I only have two rules when you go into a casino:

1. Play for fun and not play to win. If you play to win, then you're guaranteed a loss. Most winners walk off with a smile and extra spending money.

2. Just because there are over a 1000 security cameras, doesn't mean there aren't blind spots where security staff can "take care of you".

Lol, well I am by no means very involved in customer/staff relations.

However, working at a supermarket, you really find all kinds of people, and some appear to be bad at taking "no, I'm sorry" for an answer.

One rule every customer should learn: we do not stack an infinite supply of goods, items will get sold out.

An example: after a hot week (25 degrees Celsius minimum), in which there was a special offer on Coca Cola sixpacks (not normally in stock), don't expect us to be stocking it to the ceiling on Saturday at 6 PM...
